This is that ...

On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came...

Many Jews were confused and marveled, “Whatever can this mean?”

Then Peter standing up raised his voice and began to speak. “These are not drunk as you suppose...but this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel...” (Acts 2:16)

This is that... is a resource to reveal, and give light to scripture...by comparing scripture to scripture. Only God can reveal God. Only His Spirit can “guide us into all truth.” (John 16:13)

The Closet
“Where’s your armor?”

“Well, I have it all nicely stored in my spare room closet. Over there on the shelf, I keep the helmet; there in the corner is the breastplate and shield. Under that blanket is truth and on the floor are the boots. On the side, standing upright is the beautiful sword!”

“Why aren’t you wearing them? If you don’t put them on and use them they will not be activated against the forces and schemes of the devil. And where is the seventh weapon?” (Ephesians 6:10-18)

“I didn’t know there was a seventh weapon. I thought there were only six?”
“The sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, can only be effective when it comes out of your mouth. I said, take the helmet of salvation AND the sword of the Spirit/spirit, praying always with all prayer. Prayer is the seventh weapon; seven being perfection.

“Your closet, your place of meeting with Me, is your Communications Bunker where assignments are passed through—from the Kingdom of Heaven to My people—to establish My ways on earth. They release Heaven’s power against demonic assignments that are against The Church. Unfortunately, the deeper realms of praying in tongues have rarely been tapped.

“In World War II, Rees Howells (intercessor) and his prayer partners tapped into some of these realms of pure power that demolish satanic strongholds and explode unseen fortresses and plans of evil. Without this mighty praying every night, multitudes of the angels of God would have sat idle, waiting for The Church to release their assignments.”

2022—The Year of the Great Revival?
Nationwide revival will not take place without The Glorious Church taking her place in the heavenlies: occupy! “I will build My church…. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:18-19) Your spirit-filled words are the keys!

“But I don’t want to deal with those devils. Maybe someone else can do it.”

“Adam didn’t want to cast the devil out of the garden and look at the outcome! If Rees Howells and his prayer partners had only focused on all the bombings in London and the amount of people who died rather than spending the night binding and loosing, the outcome of World War II might have been tragically different.”

Intercessors
Praying in the Holy Spirit is a requirement for this end-days Body of Believers. Yet, most Christians world-wide know little about the Believer’s Authority.
“And He said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.’” (Luke 10:18-19)

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

2022—The Glory and Church Dominion!
The Lion of the Tribe of Judah

“… to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.” (Ephesians 3:10-12)

God’s Spirit in You!
2022 will require The Glorious Church to take FULL authority and enforce what Jesus has already attained for us. Put on God’s armor. Bind and loose through the power of praying in tongues. Follow Holy Spirit. He’s not a back seat-driver. Allow Him to drive and steer your praying…in tongues! Tongues will make you bold as a lion!

2022! What a year Father has planned for us. Like the Jews in Egypt had light and were kept protected from God’s judgment on a wicked nation of devil worshippers, Father will have His mighty hand upon us as we continue to enforce our Kingdom rights and bring in multitudes of souls in 2022! Let’s do this Saints!

Jesus’ return is near! Do not fear.
In Christ with you…keep His armor on every day!

This is that...December 2021
“He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.”
(Isaiah 40:29-31)

Those Who Wait on the Lord
What does this mean?
“Those that wait on the Lord” represents a group of people on earth who are Believers in Jesus Christ, looking to Him during difficult times—the end-days generation that is appointed to live in a specific time, otherwise known as the “perilous times.” Noah was appointed to live in such a time.

Those Who Wait on the Lord
What does this mean?
Wait: to trust God – have faith in God – have faith in His Word.
Wait: to be active, to serve Him in whatever He has called you to do. Be on guard against time-consuming distractions (the wiles of the devil), that come to steal your assignment and remove the Word of God.
Wait: In a fine restaurant you will have a waiter who is called to wait on you. He is there to serve you. To wait on the Lord is to live life daily through your inner man, where God’s Spirit dwells, continually checking inward to seek Him and meet His needs. His desires should be a priority. As we serve, He “gives power to the weak.” Strength then increases and we faint not under pressure!

Jesus was God’s Most Faithful Waiter
He passed His divine call onto His Body of holy, anointed Believers. He told 120 faithful disciples to wait together in the upper room to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me …” (Acts 1:4-8) The world awaits this manifestation!

Do not Forsake the Assembling of Yourselves Together
As we can only live in each day, and as we wait on the Lord to serve Him, remember He called His disciples to wait together in the upper room--not separated individually. (Hebrews 10:35)

This is that…which we all are experiencing…
“For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.” (2 Thessalonians 2:7)

Our dear friend, in describing a hard family situation said, “It’s heavy.” The lawlessness of perilous, wicked times is the root cause. Jesus said: “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.” (Matthew 24:12)

And yet, Jesus said, this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14)

This is that …

1. “Remember who you are!”
I would say this to my young grandchildren when they would leave my house. What did that mean?

It was a reminder to them to remain steadfast in the teachings in which their family had trained them, and not to yield to pressures from other kids to do wrong things. In other words, they were to remember to do what is right before God.

Body of Christ – Remember Who You Are!
Many Christians have not been taught who they are in Christ. They go in and out of church for years and still have no revelation of their true identity, their inheritance, or their responsibility to fulfill their purpose on earth.

Over 40 years ago, we were blessed to have come across a paper at our church that our dear friends Al and Phyllis had put together: “In Him Scriptures.” It impacted my life then, and still does, as I continue to renew my mind to what scripture says about me.

In these perilous times, dear Saints, we absolutely need to do this.

Declaring a scripture like, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus,” reminds me of my right standing before my Father and the place I exist in Jesus. When I speak His Word over myself it nourishes my spirit man, which in turn empowers me to stand firm against my enemy. It reminds me I am not of this world, just like Jesus also declared. I am here on temporary assignment to do my part and establish God’s Kingdom on earth. But to fulfill this work I have to remember “who I am in Christ.” That brings me under an umbrella of protection knowing I am NEVER alone!

If you make declarations early in the day they will guard your mind and strengthen you against anything you are hearing that is contrary to the Word. Since you have planted the Word into your spirit and renewed your mind, the worldly chaos will not rob you of your faith!

This is how we walk by faith and advance the Kingdom.

Get your copy of the “Who I am in Christ Scriptures” by downloading them on my website, Prayer with Purpose.org.

2. The Inversion
Two thousand years ago Paul the Apostle said the end times would be perilous. (2 Timothy 3:1-5) Men will be lovers of themselves resisting the truth. From this all wickedness proceeds because these are people who have opened themselves to satanic influence and possession, but “the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits.” (Daniel 11:32)

Years ago, the faith community was teaching on the power of the Spirit filled church that would rise up. The inversion, meaning that which was up would come crashing down, and that which was down would come up!

An invasion of the outpouring of Holy Spirit would come in, not like a trickle, but like a flood, hitting every city in every state of our nation and every other nation — all at the same time!

Before the foundation of the world, you and I were called to be born into these times to make preparations for the return of Jesus in the air. We are an advancing army contending for righteousness and the Kingdom of God to be released in our cities. That, of course, includes the salvation of millions of souls!

We were born for “such a time as this!” But if you have grown tired and weary, one reason may be you are not praying enough in tongues. Think of your cell phone. Doesn’t it have to be continually charged up? See Jude 20.

3. Keys of Revival
Who has the keys of the Kingdom of God? The Body of Christ filled with the Holy Spirit! Those powerful keys are to be in continual use.

“And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:18-19)

Keys to your house open the door so you can enter, or those keys lock the door so no one can break in and steal your goods. Before the Gospel is unlocked to affect the natural realm on earth and bring in souls, the keys of Spirit led intercession and tongues must be released.

Unseen wicked spirits in the heavenlies will be locked up by the power of God’s mighty angelic armies. (Ephesians 6:12)

This is the authority and responsibility of “The Glorious Church” in action. We are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, Ephesians 2:6, to enforce the Kingdom of God upon wickedness and cast them out!

The violent take the Kingdom by force! And remember this, when you pray God is there, within you!

“And I have put My words in your mouth; I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, that I may plant the heavens, lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’ ” (Isaiah 51:16)

“Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: ‘Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant.’ ” (Jeremiah 1:9-10)

A picture is worth a thousand words!

This is that … which is an outpouring: a flood!
“Let us know,
Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord.
His going forth is established as the morning;
He will come to us like the rain,
Like the latter and former rain to the earth.” (Hosea 6:3-4)

This is that … October 2021

Then came the Day!
He awakened, just like any other day. But this day was different.

He put away all of His carpenter tools to answer the reason for Him coming to earth as a man. This day would bring world-wide changes throughout the ages to come. He was now thirty years old. He had studied the scriptures daily and grew in wisdom. He knew His Father was not Joseph, but Jehovah God, the Creator of the Heavens and the earth!

This day would be the beginning of His calling. He would seek John, His cousin, who was baptizing in the Jordan River. Then He asked John to baptize Him.
“ … Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, ‘This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.’” (Matthew 3:16-17)

This Day Jesus would begin His earthly ministry as the power of the Holy Spirit descended upon Him. Father poured His Spirit upon Him, all of His Spirit! This Day and His days to come would change the world forever.

October 2021
Great Expectations of The Great Commission

“Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.”

“And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

“So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.” (Mark 16:14 -20)

The Perfect Day
“But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.” (Proverbs 4:18)

“… being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ … (Philippians 1:6)

The Work of the End Days Church Has Arrived!
“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.” (Ephesians 4:11-16)

The Day of Holy Spirit
There was a “day” that the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus who then led Him into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. He had to overcome satan in preparation for the three years of ministry ahead, and of course His temptation in the garden prior to the cross.

As His Body on earth is standing up against evil in our nation, taking authority and releasing prayers of faith, we take courage through the many scriptures in the Old Testament that give us an account of the many difficult times God’s people persevered through to get to the VICTORY!

Jehoshaphat had several wicked nations join together and threaten his people with annihilation. The King sought the Lord. “Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” (2 Chronicles 20)

What was the outcome?
The Lord came against them and they were defeated! Very often God would administer judgment against very wicked nations by setting a trap for them. Then He would wipe them out!

Hezekiah ran into big trouble with the King of Assyria who intended to destroy God’s people with his great army. Hezekiah prayed and the following morning 185,000 soldiers lay dead!

How? The angel of the Lord killed them all!

This Day
Days of the Outpouring of His Spirit are also days of God’s judgment. Know that He is on the scene. Have faith in God and do whatever He tells you to do. Just ahead is the greatest awakening of the nations. And when that last soul is saved that Father wants, we’ll meet our Savior in the air! Be ready.

This is that … It’s time to blow the trumpet in Zion!
“And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions.
And also on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days …
And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved. (See Joel 2:28-32)

Secrets of Bringing in the Harvest

“But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.’” (Matthew (9:36-38)

Only the Father knows the name of the last person that will be born again just prior to the catching away of His Glorious Church. Until then: WE OCCUPY!
Dedication of purpose puts everything else aside so that each of us may fulfill our assignments. Intercession for the lost is a priority for the end-days church!

Bring in the “harvest of the earth” for the “fullness of the Gentiles” has arrived! (See Luke 10:2 & Romans 11:25)

God Knows the End at the Beginning: Isaiah 46:10
Father “chose us in Him before the foundation of the world” … “having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself.”
(See Ephesians 1:4-5)

We were predestined to belong to Him even before we were born on earth. Vines Dictionary – Predestined: to foreknow, the subjects of His foreknowledge are predestined

“All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” (Colossians 1:16)

The Lost
The gospel is “veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded.” (2 Corinthians 4:3-4) They need our help! Intercession is required to release people from demonic strongholds. Remember, you and I were once lost in darkness. Someone prayed us through to receive Jesus as Lord.

2021 - The Harvest is Ripe!
Revival is here and so is correction!

Why has all this evil been allowed to come forth in our nation?

Evil which has been hidden for decades is being uncovered. There’s a shaking going on “that the things that cannot be shaken may remain.” (Hebrews 12:27) The angels are separating the tares and the wheat in His church. Read Matthew 13:36-43 often.

Intercession for the lost is breaking up hardened hearts so that the gospel can be heard and received. Pray much in tongues for them during your prayer time but also as you go about your day. Pray for all those you see. The lost are everywhere and they are suffering, not understanding what is going on in the world or know that Jesus is coming.

As we intercede, especially in tongues, we are releasing Holy Spirit power upon individuals who are predestined for adoption. Speak life upon them. “The life was the light of men.” Since “death and life are in the power of the tongue,” we might consider what is actually taking place in the spirit realm when we release words of grace over a lost soul we might see on a street corner. We are speaking life!

So pray over your city. You own it! Pray over your county. You own it! Pray over your state. You own it! Pray for our nation. We own it! The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds—but only when they are used. The keys of the Kingdom to bind and to loose, Matthew 16:18-19, should be in continual manifestation against evil — by us!

Scripture says to pray for your enemies. Repay no one evil for evil. Do not be overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good. Pray for all those who are in authority. Why?

Saul of Tarsus – Predestined to Adoption
The days after Pentecost were amazing! Three thousand getting saved here and five thousand getting saved there! Revival had broken loose. So did persecution!

Stephen, “a man full of faith and power did great wonders and signs among the people.” Yet later Stephen was stoned to death as the wicked came against him to stop the ministry of Jesus operating in him.

“Now Saul was consenting to his death.” (Acts Chapter 8)

Then Saul was traveling on the road to Damascus, “still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord …” when “suddenly a light shone around him from heaven and he fell to the ground.” (See Acts 9:1-9) He had an encounter with Jesus Christ!

Certainly this transformation took place as a result of great intercession among the Believers who were releasing Holy Spirit power on Saul.

I often think of Saul when interceding for wicked men and women who are making terrible plans against our nation. They (satan) are really out to replace our nation’s foundation: the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to stop the great revival that is getting ready to explode in our cities!

Jesus said to pray for our enemies. Why?
Some of them are predestined for adoption! Since you and I are not God, we don’t know who they are. Therefore, we have to assume everyone needs our prayers.

Remember Saul.

This is that … which is predestined for the rapture!
“… that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.” (Ephesians 1:10)

Watching

I have an avocado tree outside my office window. I often notice a small Rufus Hummingbird sitting on a branch. He is turning his head back and forth, and then looking up and down.

What’s he looking for?

This tiny bird, one of the smallest of the species, is guarding a hummingbird feeder he thinks belongs to him. Uh oh, here comes another hummingbird, invading his territory. He is after his food! Immediately, little Rufus bird is off, squawking and chasing the invader away. Rufus is on assignment most of the day!

One thing I notice about my hummingbird: he is not aware of his size. He is very bold and determined to guard what belongs to him even when he is eating and enjoying his food.

My little hummingbird is definitely “a watcher.” He’s small but his assignment has made him a mighty “bird of war.” He never looks in the mirror to determine who he is. God has given him a purpose and fulfilling that purpose affects how he thinks. It drives him to take action immediately, with force!

Purpose!
God has called out certain Believers and given them a holy, divine purpose to stand guard and contend in spiritual warfare against evil. In the past intercessors were called “watchers.”

Here are some word definitions of watch:
Actively guarding; a keeping watch over; keeping awake; of spiritual alertness; awake;  be watchful; be vigilant; to keep; the watching ones; observe; preserve; watchfulness of those who are intent upon a thing; to abstain from wine, is used metaphorically of moral alertness and translated to watch; sober; to guard

The Watchers Armor of God – Ephesians 6:10-18 AMPC
“And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God. Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people). See Ephesians 6:10-18 for the entire armor.

The Watchers Source of Supply
“Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it flow springs of life.”
(Proverbs 4:23)

In order to be effective in prayer we have to guard our heart for that is the secret place of power; the dwelling place of Holy Spirit. Jesus said, “out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. But this He spoke concerning the Holy Spirit …” (John 7:38)

God, the Holy Spirit in us, the hope of glory!

It was Holy Spirit who was in the beginning hovering over the waters of the earth, waiting for Elohim to speak words. “Then God said, ‘Let there be light, and there was light.’” Each time words came forth from the Father, Holy Spirit brought forth the manifestation.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” (Hebrews 11:1-3)

Seventeen times in this chapter, the words “by faith” are written. Each time, they describe different circumstances that faith had victory over. Not only is Holy Spirit the most important resident in our heart, but also important is this substance called “faith.”

How do we release the power of Holy Spirit and faith?
Through words, especially those entwined with the power of tongues!

Developing your prayer language is very important to Holy Spirit for it will help you grow and develop out of babyhood and childhood, maturing your spirit man. Then when Holy Spirit calls you to an assignment, whether alone or a corporate working with others, there will be a release of the inward power of God. It’s the power of God that can pull down dominions of strongholds as words of faith and authority are released from your mouth.

It is truly magnificent Saints!
The resurrection of Jesus Christ opened the door for man to be born from above, a new creation! Jesus is the Head and we are His body, glorious with diversities of gifts, differences of ministries and activities, to establish the Kingdom of God and His ways on earth.

The assignment for Intercession is wonderful; each one … working intimately and inwardly with Holy Spirit, seated in heavenly places in the Spirit. (Ephesians 2:6 and 2:10)

You’re never alone dear heart!

The Kingdom of God
His Kingdom is within you! (Luke 17:21)
Let it out!

“Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.” (Jeremiah 1:9-10)

Rufus
God has certainly put the “spirit of might to fight” in this little champion of the skies! His purpose to guard his food supply is very important in his everyday life.

As watchers, our ears are tuned to our heart, watching for what Father has to say throughout our day. Be on call for prayer. Guard against thieves that steal prayer/study time or bring fear.

Your heart is the life source!

This is that …
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)

The Authority of the Intercessor

120 followers of Jesus were gathered in the upper room. Why? “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.” (Luke 24:49)

These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication. On the fiftieth day, the sound as of a mighty wind filled the house and filled the 120 pray-ers. Tongues, as of fire, sat on each one of them. They spoke with tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

A true intercessor is a born again spirit-filled person. That means the Believer and God’s Spirit “The Helper” are joined together as one to release prayers that change earthly circumstances.

Tongues is the combined utterance of the Believer and Holy Spirit.

God’s enemy cannot understand what is being said and therefore he cannot steal, kill, or destroy the plan being birthed through you. That’s so powerful isn’t it?

But be on the alert! Your spirit needs food to be effective, the study of God’s Word, otherwise your prayer will be empty chatter. You can feel it.

“If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified …” John 15:1-9 is our life foundation.

Did you know that repentance and conversion cannot take place without intercessory prayer?

Before each of the great revivals, Father put in the hearts of Believers the yearning to reach those who are perishing. The true Intercessor cannot judge the sinner but instead binds spiritual wickedness in high places that is blinding the lost from the truth of the gospel. ((2 Corinthians 4:3-4)

Jesus Had an Intercessor!
Anna, a prophetess and widow, lived in the temple for eighty-four years and served God with fastings and prayers night and day. She spoke of the Messiah “to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem.” (Luke 2:36-38) She entered as Jesus was being presented to the Lord soon after His birth. How did she know?

Intercession has its benefits … it is where Kingdom secrets are revealed!  I think it’s quite possible that Anna prayed for Jesus’ entire ministry, even for His strength in the Garden of Gethsemane …

Jesus is the Intercessor’s Intercessor
We, who are called to pray for those who are perishing, have a High Priest who is interceding for us. (Hebrews 7:25)

His Spirit is in us to maneuver us into prayers that “break yokes and remove burdens” on behalf of the lost. Not to have the power of praying in tongues on this issue is like a man trying to swim with one hand behind his back. That may be okay in shallow water, but not when you desire to get out into the deep, and that’s where the fish are! (Luke 5:4)

Jesus said “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. ‘But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.’”
(John 7:37-39)

If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me!

Saints, we have the answer for the multitudes of thirsty people out there. They are like a man walking in the Mojave Desert in 120 degree temperatures without any water!

Some of them go crazy!

Use Jesus’ words against the enemy: “We release the thirsty to come to Jesus! Let them go satanic spirits! We pull them into Jesus right now, into repentance that they may see Jesus on the cross dying for them, right now! In Jesus name!”
Go at it in tongues!

Spiritual breakthroughs of revivals always start in the heavenlies as the violent take the Kingdom of God by force!

The great military power of God’s Kingdom is well able to dominate. See yourself like one of the jet fighters on a carrier in the Pacific that take off at high speeds and go up to attack enemy forces. The weapons of OUR warfare being shot out of our mouths are not carnal but mighty in God for the destruction of strongholds. Never see yourself alone. The great and mighty angelic armies of God are standing waiting orders, WORDS, from God’s Spirit on earth. Bombard the heavens with scripture and truth that will annihilate the chaos and lies in the heavenlies over our nation’s cities! WE HAVE AUTHORITY!

Did you know that your voice has a specific code that no one else has?

This is that … which is our authority:
“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ Amen.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

“Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” (Hebrews 1:13)

Jesus has passed the baton to His Church on earth to finish the race!
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” (Luke 10:19-20)

The Lost

Who are the lost?
The lost are those who are alive but perishing. That means they have the loss of eternal life, total alienation from God. Upon death they are sent into hell … forever without hope.

FOUNDATIONS OF INTERCESSION
1. God’s Word

The study of God’s Word must always be the precursor to prayer. Why? Because faith comes from The Word, and without faith you’re spitting in the wind. In other words, your prayers are empty of substance. They will produce no fruit. And God is always after fruit!

2. Love Never Fails: 1 Corinthians Chapter 13
Love people, even those who reject the gospel because this is where love triumphs! Saul of Tarsus, before he met Jesus, was out to persecute Believers and destroy Christianity. (Acts Chapter 9) But the Saints were praying and Jesus intervened! Love in the heart of the pray-er is the power that the Holy Spirit converts to spiritual power to touch lost souls to bring them to repentance. Beware of unforgiveness in the heart. It strangles faith from bearing fruit. (Mark 11:25-26)

3. Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Tongues
John the Baptist said that Jesus would baptize us with the Holy Spirit and fire! (Matthew 3:11) Before His ascension into heaven, Jesus said signs would follow Believers. He said one of those signs is they shall speak in tongues.

The Holy Spirit’s voice cannot be heard without a Believer.

Romans 8:26-27 reveals the glorious inner workings of the Holy Spirit uniting as one with us in prayer to bring about God’s Kingdom on earth. It’s what the whole creation is groaning for! (Romans 8:18-25)

There is nothing that can take the place of the power of praying in tongues — for our own lives and for interceding for the lost. Satan hates it! It is he who has deceived the Baptists, Lutherans, Catholics, and others about Holy Spirit. (Acts 19 gives us the picture of Christians without the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.)

Satan wants to keep The Church from entering into the higher realms of spiritual authority that will bind him.

Angels are Waiting
The Kingdom of God suffers violence, but the violent TAKE it by force! The great armies of God, the angels, listen for their assignments from us. “Though we speak with the tongues of men and of angels …” (1 Corinthians 13:1)

Elisha asked God that his fearful servant might see what he saw, the mountain full of horses and chariots of fire all around, and God agreed. This is something to think about when interceding. Now imagine the millions of intercessors engaging in spiritual warfare, taking the Kingdom of God every day! Imagine all those prayers answered!!!

Intercession moves out to the frontline to seize territory before the boots on the ground enter in. Be aware of enemy tactics that try and steal your prayer time.

Prayer and Intercession: Is there a difference?
“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority …”
(1 Timothy 2:1-2)

Intercession - Vines Dictionary: a technical term for approaching a king and so for approaching God in intercession; seeking the presence and hearing of God on behalf of others; to make petition or intercede on behalf of another is used in Romans 8:26 of the work of the Holy Spirit in making intercession.

The Father put it this way in Isaiah 42:22
“But this is a people robbed and plundered;
All of them are snared in holes,
And they are hidden in prison houses;
They are for prey, and no one delivers;
For plunder, and no one says, ‘Restore!’”

Intercession Brings Restoration
Do you remember when Abraham interceded for the depraved city of Sodom? Of course the greatest example of intercession is Jesus Christ as He became sin. And He continues as the greatest Intercessor today, “for He always lives to make intercession for us!" (Hebrews 7:25) We cannot fully accomplish our assignment without Holy Spirit led praying, meaning we join with Him in glorious tongues as avenues of darkness are penetrated with light, life and great power!

Holy Spirit is speaking to us in this hour to step up prayer and intercession. There is an epidemic of stupidity and ignorance all around us because the lost believe in lies and want to make them into laws.

This produces perilous times. (2 Timothy 3:1)

Kenneth Copeland’s daily devotional: “Faith to Faith” has an example of how to pray for a lost person. But we can use those same steps for all the lost in our cities, states, and nation. I will highlight his major points.

* Most all unbelievers who have purposely refused to receive Jesus as Lord think they have made that decision by their own free will. The truth is they haven’t. Satan has blinded their minds. (2 Corinthians 4:4) That’s important. He’s blocked their perception of the truth.
* Through the prayer of intercession, you can interfere with satanic forces and help to remove the blinders. Your prayers, God working in you, can change circumstances that will bring them in contact with the Lord. You are well within your spiritual rights to do that.
* Whether you’re praying for a relative (or all the lost in your city), first bind the strong man (Matthew 12:29) and then enter his house and spoil his goods. Speak it and use the name of Jesus!
* Pray Matthew 9:38: ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Then claim the person or your city or state for the Kingdom of God, saying “we believe we receive salvation and deliverance” (for so and so).
* Declare victory … “in faith we praise you Father for the results!” Rejoice! You, and Holy Spirit power inside you, have taken off the blinders and opened their eyes to the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ! Praise God! See 2 Corinthians 4:1-7.

Not only is your private time with the Lord the time to intercede for our nation, but everywhere you go, you are representing God’s kingdom, to cashiers, people in the mall, at a restaurant, and so on. If you see homeless on the street or see speeding drivers, instead of calling them bad names, pray for them to be born again. Apply the blood of Jesus on them. In other words, intercession doesn’t stop when you leave your private time with Jesus, but wherever you go, you are appointed an intercessor to stand in the gap.

And Jesus said you will speak in tongues! It’s doing more than we think … His Word shall not return void!

This is that ... which is the armor of God for an Intercessor:
"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil ... " (Ephesians 6:11)
(Remember to cast all cares onto the Lord.)

There’s always more to learn about being an intercessor!

About Revival

The book of Zephaniah is an interesting account of Israel’s history written about 600 years prior to Jesus’ birth. It’s only three chapters and worthy of your attention.

God is all about changing the heart of man, for revival that produces only a temporary outward change but does not remove the corruption of the inner man will not have a permanent effect on the individual or bring change to a nation.

God often brings judgment before revival to bring true repentance upon prideful hardened hearts that oppose Him. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)

Zephaniah recorded God’s present anger with Israel but also His anger toward nations of the last days, when eventually His wrath will be poured out on all flesh.

Zephaniah 3:8-20 speaks of God’s love and restoration … the outcome of revival!

We certainly could compare what our nation has been through in 2020 & 2021 as a major correction not only to our nation but also to His Church. Perhaps your church was faithful, but over the last few years many churches sought to become just like the world with the mistaken idea that would pull in the lost. No!
That was pulling His people away from their foundations!

And where there is no anointed Word taught, the sheep get hungry and will eat things without any nutritional value. Sitting on the fence with one foot in the world is VERY dangerous.

Jesus told Peter to “feed His sheep.”

When the Word of God is put to the back of the line, The Church loses its salt. Jesus said, “It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.” And, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:13 & 16)

And some thought we could have signs, wonders, and miracles by removing crosses from church buildings so no one would be offended. God calls this adultery!

“Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” (See James 4:4-5)

So, He brings judgment.

May 2021 — Turning Point!
Intercessors have had times of deep weeping before God about what’s happened in our government. I sense in my spirit that God will bring a restoration as we pray for His plan to come forth. And we know that all of this is pointing toward the great end-day’s revival we have been praying for.

Like a pregnant woman who suffers through hours of agony to birth her child, we will see a glorious outcome as God brings the lost into His Kingdom!

This is what happens when God shows up!
Old Testament

Moses and the Red Sea - Exodus Chapter 14
Moses led about 2 million Israelites through the desert up to the Red Sea. God led their enemies to pursue them. Why? “I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, that the Egyptian’s may know that I am the Lord. Do not be afraid. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord … the Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
Result? Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. “Thus Israel saw the great work which the Lord had done ….”

Joshua: Chapter 10
Joshua and the armies of God were in a horrific battle with five Kings and their armies. Joshua told the sun to stand still, “so the sun stood still, and the moon stopped” for about a whole day!  “The Lord heeded the voice of a man!”

Gideon: Judges Chapter 6 & 7
God chose a man with no confidence. Yet, his deep insecurity did not change God’s call on his life. Gideon started with an army of about 32,000 men but sent thousands home at God’s command. Gideon and 300 men defeated the Midianites, who outnumbered Israel 450 to 1. How? God had a plan and wanted all to know the victory was not because of man but because of God!

David: 1 Samuel 17:45-52
God chose a young man to do what an army could not. David declared, “This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you …that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.”
Maybe The Church should take a lesson in boldness from David!

New Testament
Jesus Christ: Matthew 15:31

“So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.”

The Apostles: Acts 3:1-10
Peter and John healed the man lame from his mother’s womb!
Later on in Peter’s ministry, he raised Dorcas from the dead! (Acts 9:36-43)

Stephen: Acts 6:8
Stephen was one of the first seven deacons of the early church, “full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people.”

Ananias and Sapphira: Acts 5:1-11
“Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself … you have not lied to men but to God.”
Consequence:
each one died after lying. Having God in your mist requires higher standards!

Philip: Acts 8:26-40
After leading the Ethiopian eunuch to receive Jesus and be baptized in water, Philip was translated … disappeared!

Saul of Tarsus: Acts 9:1-9
Saul was on his journey to Damascus to come against the disciples of the Lord but fell to the ground when a light from heaven came upon him. Jesus confronted him. Trembling and astonished, Saul asked the Lord, “What do you want me to do?”

There is always hope when praying for those in authority!

This is that … which Jesus said.
“Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.”
Jesus is coming soon!

*These victories are good to read over and over again when praying for God’s plan to be birthed.

Warfare
"Be Strong in the Grace of Jesus Christ!" (2 Timothy 2:1)

Soldiers
“You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.” (2 Timothy 2:3-4)

Guard Your “Word” Armor
Jesus said, “Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.” (Mark 4:19-20)

The mighty Church of Jesus Christ is being gathered together to move forward now under the greater anointing of Holy Spirit to be The Glorious Church with signs, wonders, and miracles that follow them, not only in the church building, but in the marketplace, business environments, etc., as we break out from the strongholds of a deceptive thief who has stolen the gifts long enough! Not only that, but he is after our nation as well.

What Jesus Has Already Done
“And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”
(Colossians 2:13-15)

Go Into All the World and Preach — Mark 16:15-18
There is no demilitarized zone in God’s Kingdom. What is a demilitarized zone?
A demilitarized zone is an area from which weapons and military forces have been removed by mutual agreement.

Does that sound like your church?
That’s why we intercede. But there’s more that we can do!

The Power of Praise!
"Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated." (2 Chronicles 20:22)

Ephesians 2:6 declares that we are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Ron Kenoly had a song about twenty years ago, “We're Going Up to the High Places.” It’s powerful and it is more current today than it was back then.

Here’s the link and below are the lyrics. Get up, dance and sing praise to the Lord!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-h1s5jHjZo

Ron Kenoly- We’re Going Up to the High Places

“We've been deceived by the devil too long
We gonna tear that devil's kingdom down
What he said was his, church, has been ours all along
Tonight, we're gonna tear that devil's kingdom down
We're going up to the high places
We're going up to the high places
We're going up to the high places
To tear the devil's kingdom down
Let's go up
Going up to the high places (we're going up)
Going up to the high places (we're going up)
Going up to the high places (we're going to...)
To tear the devil's kingdom down
Listen, we gotta be strong
We gotta be bold
We're gonna tear the devil's kingdom down
We're gonna reclaim everything that devil stole
We're gonna tear the devil's kingdom down
(Come on church) Let's go up
Going up to the high places (we're going)
Going up to the high places (we're going up)
Going up to the high places
We're gonna tear the devil's kingdom down
You know the church today, the church today is engaged in a spiritual warfare
And the battle goes on between the kingdom of darkness and the Army of God
And there is no demilitarized zone
You're either on the devil's side or on the Lord's side
Now we know that the Lord Jesus Christ has won the ultimate victory at Calvary, we know that don't we?
But our mission, our mission is to enforce and maintain all that Jesus bought for us at Calvary
There's a lot of things that the devil has stolen away from the church
Health, prosperity, peace in our homes and our communities, righteousness in our government
These the things the devil has stole
But as the army of God we're taking it back, amen?!
Are you with me? Yes!!!
Are you with me tonight? Yes!!!
Are you with me right now? Yes!!!
Well let's go up to the high place and fall that devil down
Oh yeah, come on church
Going up to the high places
We going up to the high places
Going up to the high places
We going to tear the devil's kingdom down
(Church) Let's go up
Going up to the high places
Going up to the high places
Going up to the high places
To tear the devil's kingdom down
We've been deceived by the devil too long
We're gonna tear the devil's kingdom down
What he says is his has been ours all along
We're gonna tear the devil's kingdom down
Let's go up
Going up to the high places (we going up)
Going up to the high places (we going up)
Going up to the high places
We gonna to tear the devil's kingdom down
We're gonna pull down the altars
We're gonna tear down the walls
We're gonna raise up a banner of righteousness
And declare that Jesus is Lord of all
Going up to the high places (we going up)
Going up to the high places (we going up)
Going up to the high places
We going to tear the devil's kingdom down
We're gonna tear the devil's kingdom down
We're gonna tear the devil's kingdom down”

This is that ... which is vitally important in this hour!
"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ ... (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)
