Suggestions for Prayer Time

  • Get alone - Get quiet.
  • Read the foundation scriptures: Isaiah 40: 3-11 and also Ezekiel 37:1-14.
  • Praise God - Power Praise is a list of anointed songs.
  • Pray in the Spirit.
  • Enter prayer with worship, being thankful and hopeful for what the Lord is doing in your state and the nation, rather than what the news media says. There are so many people praying. Let's be thankful that He is about to do exceedingly more than we could think in bringing about revival to your state and our nation. Ephesians 3:20-21

What to Pray

The Church:
Pray that The Church, the magnificent Body of Christ, with all its diversities of gifts, differences of ministries, and diversities of activities manifest in fullness and maturity now. Pray that each member of the Body will fulfill their call and flow under the direction of the Holy Spirit. You might read Ephesians, Chapter 1, over The Church. Pray for Pastors in your state.

This end-days church is a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people ... to proclaim His praise ... and to do the greater works and to be known for our love!

The Lost:
Pray for the lost to be hungry for the gospel. Pray they will have ears to hear the truth and to understand the message of freedom. Pray that a spirit of repentance fall upon the lost and elected leaders in every state. Plead the Blood of Jesus on your cities and counties; bring them under the covering and power of the Holy Spirit and His angels.

Many of the unsaved think they know "all about that Jesus stuff" because they have heard a lot of religious tradition in the past. Let's pray for people to come into contact with the truth of who He is and His overwhelming goodness and love.

Elected Officials:
Of course, many in this category are lost also. God knows how to get to them and also knows how to remove them.  Pray:  1 Timothy 2:1-6.

Never underestimate the power of faith and prayer. I like Hebrews 11:33-34, "... who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions ... out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle ." That's the power of prayer!

The Journal

If you don't already keep a journal, may I suggest you start one?

Many years ago, someone suggested I record what  the Lord was showing me in a journal. So I began the practice of writing down my thoughts, impressions, and words the Lord had spoken to me in prayer. I have also used my journal during my Bible study time to take notes. Reading and studying the Bible are two different things. Studying the scriptures is like searching for hidden treasure and finding it! Digging helps to mature the Believer! Go to This is that... 9.26.19 to find out how I study my Bible.

My Bible and my journal are always together, like my right hand and my left hand.

Those of you who journal know how effective it is, not only for future reference but writing can also slow down a busy mind so that we can focus and concentrate better;  something very necessary in these days!

Writing in your journal also gives the Holy Spirit, our Wonderful Counselor, the opportunity to reveal hidden things that might need to be corrected in our lives to make us more joyful and happy in life.

Looking back over more than thirty years, I can see there would have been a gigantic hole in my life without my journal and the recording of hidden treasures of a life shared with Jesus. He has taught me so much and His teachings fill the pages of my journals that sit on my book case. They also have filled my heart and continue to bring joy to my life.
