This is that ...

On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came...

Many Jews were confused and marveled, “Whatever can this mean?”

Then Peter standing up raised his voice and began to speak. “These are not drunk as you suppose...but this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel...” (Acts 2:16)

This is that... is a resource to reveal, and give light to scripture...by comparing scripture to scripture. Only God can reveal God. Only His Spirit can “guide us into all truth.” (John 16:13)

SPIRITUAL LAW: Everything produces after its own kind.
See Genesis 1:11, and 1 Corinthians 15:38.

Children are Born from a Seed
This is true in the natural and also in the spiritual realm.
Believers are born again of the incorruptible seed—the living Word of God.
(1 Peter 1:23)

If everything produces after its own kind, i.e., birds don’t produce dogs, an avocado seed won’t produce an orange tree, and so on, then we should produce after God’s Word.

We should be planting and harvesting whatever the promise in God’s Word says; after all, we carry His Spirit and His Kingdom with us.

We should produce God’s Word far more than we do.
All of the promises of God belong to us as children of The Word.

What’s the problem then? Why aren't we producing like we should?
Unbelief, ignorance, and being conformed to the world instead of being transformed by the renewing of our mind will keep the Word dormant.

And let’s not forget something else.
The traditions of men make the Word of God of NO EFFECT and will certainly affect how we pray and the results we get. Men's traditions can turn us into beggars. See Mark 7:13 and Colossians 2:8-10.

We should not be begging God for anything! “Has He said, and will He not do?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Number 23:19

Attach your faith to the promise. If you can find it in the Book, it is already settled in heaven. It is still there…full of life!

This is that... which the apostle Paul spoke about.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ…” Ephesians 1:3

Pray the answer not the problem!

Are you a disciple of Jesus Christ?
Then it ought to show!

“Therefore be imitators of God as dear children." (Ephesians 5:1)

Definition of Disciple: denotes one who follows one’s teaching; a disciple was not only a pupil, but an adherent; hence they are spoken of as imitators of their teacher.

FORGETTING GOD—THE HOLY SPIRIT
Multitudes of Christians attend church services every Sunday yet know nothing about spiritual warfare, the Believer’s authority, spiritual weapons, or their responsibility to “go into all the world and make disciples, cast out demons, and heal the sick.”
(Mark 16:15-18)

Holy Spirit was never meant to be the Believer’s silent back-seat driver or watch silently on the sidelines as the corporate Body of Believers try to win the world to Jesus on their own puny efforts.

Not even our Savior ministered without the Holy Spirit! (Acts 10:38.)

Awakenings and revivals cannot break forth without God—the Holy Spirit!

The Church of 2017
Denominations that were once on fire with the fullness of God’s Spirit have let go of the power of God and even approve of sinful lifestyles contrary to God’s laws.

How can perversion be accepted in church?
Prayer and the study of God’s Word went to the end of the line as church pastors, leaders and congregations said in their hearts: HOLY SPIRIT NOT WELCOME HERE!

How can this happen?
One heart at a time.

“Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.” (Hebrews 2:1)

To Those Who Pray ... It’s time for rewards!

On September 27, 2015—the day of the last Blood Moon—I heard the Word of the Lord…twice.
"This is where everything changes.”
What does this mean LORD?

“Good for The Church … distress for the nations.”

THE GLORIOUS CHURCH
“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers.
For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common?
Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
What harmony is there between Christ and Belial?
Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?
What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols?
For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:

“I will live with them
and walk among them,
and I will be their God,
and they will be my people.” (2 Corinthians 6:14-16)

2017 ... Opposition
Definition of Opposition: resistance, contention against, disagreement, rejection, negativism, defiance, hostility, enmity

I think of opposition as something opposing my position in Christ.
Further, it is something that stands against everything I am as a New Creation in Christ.

And just because there’s opposition or opposing forces against individual Believers and The Church doesn’t mean God is not with us, but it means exactly the opposite!

Divine Intervention of Almighty God
The 2016 election of our President Donald Trump was and is the launching pad for revival. Shouldn’t we, as a chosen generation with an assignment to PRAY and prepare the way for The Grand Harvest of every nation, recognize this great call and destiny we have at hand?

Shouldn’t we be about our Father’s business with single mindedness of heart to follow Him and obey Him?

So what’s our reward?
The outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all flesh!!!

THE HEART AND PRAYER: An Inside Job
“But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” (Jude 20-21)

WARNING: Faith will become silenced when unforgiveness is in the heart.
Faith works through love…

MATURITY
Praying in tongues is a “gift of power” when developed.
It is the corridor in which we enter into the spirit realm to work with God. In the spirit we speak mysteries to God, but we can expect to interpret some of what we are saying the more we practice.

Praying in the spirit will curb foolish words from flying out of your mouth.
It is effective in developing the faith that is resident in your heart through God’s Word.
Praying in tongues strengthens the inner man. This is an effective way to overcome the wiles of the devil.

The Kingdom of God is within us.
The heart is where God’s Word produces faith. (No word? No faith!) John 15:7
It is where God chose to house His Spirit.
It is the treasure chest of God where we make contact with the supernatural.
Your heart is the depository of God’s anointing and power.

This is that...which Jesus Christ spoke about.
“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
(John 7:38-39)

Come and eat!

Old Testament
“And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it. Then they shall eat the flesh on that night...”
(Exodus 12:7-8)

New Testament
“Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.” (John 6:54-56)

There’s more than one way to eat.
You are a spirit, you have a soul, and you live in a body. You were born of God’s Spirit. Your spirit finds it’s nutrients from receiving the living Word of God.

Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh. He is the Passover Lamb. He that receives the Son of God into his own being receives eternal life. We live out our daily lives by Him as our bodies live by daily food.

“I am the bread of life.” John 6:48
“As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.” (John 6:57)

The Tongue
“And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity.
The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.” (James 3:6)

What shall we say would be the remedy against producing evil in our lives?
What can we do when that pressure flares up within us, pushing us to speak evil things? How can we smother the flame of anger that wants to let loose words of corruption on another person?

How can we tame the tongue? Certainly not by the flesh!

Pop out your fruit!
“Let me explain further. Live your life as your spiritual nature directs you. Then you will never follow through on what your corrupt nature wants.”
(Galatians 5:16 GWT)

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23)

Self Control
Definition of self-control: self discipline, self-possession, composure, mental balance, soberness, stability, patience, temperance

Bless...and curse not. (Romans 12:14)
(Of course you know you must stay in God's Word, right?)

Confidence
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” (1 John 5:14-15)

Do you believe that?

“Yes, I believe that. But it’s not really working for me. A lot of my prayers have not been answered and I don’t know why...”

Let’s take a look at your spiritual foundation and see if we can locate some cracks in how you’re living your life.

Too Busy to fellowship with God, His Word, and prayer? Well, don’t expect any prayer results... “for without Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)
Ignorance of how faith in God’s Word works. Go to “The Library.” Start reading the Bible Lessons from 2013.
Doubt and Unbelief magnify unchanged circumstances. If you’re inner voice is saying “my prayer is not working for me,” go on a fast and study the scriptures. Follow Joshua 1:5-9 and read James 1:5-8.
Unforgiveness goes against God’s commandment to forgive and will smother faith. (Mark 11:25) Faith works through love. (Galatians 5:6)
Friendship with the world is enmity with God. Are you unevenly yoked with unbelievers? (Read James 4:4 and 2 Corinthians 6:14-18)
Check up on what you are confessing. “The tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity.” (James 3:6) Don’t say things against what you prayed for. (Proverbs 18:21)
Strife ... “For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.” (James 3:16)

The Word of God is the only source of faith!
Follow Proverbs 4:20-27 every day.

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” John 15:7

Problems, problems everywhere... 10.4.17
What are we to do?

PRAY!
Hold fast the confession of your hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful!

In the past few weeks our nation has had to deal with major disasters, and now the tragic circumstances in Las Vegas. The Body of Christ is called to be a strength and a light to our nation. But if we are fearful and distressed like unbelievers, we will limit the effectiveness of our faith-filled prayers. We must first make contact with the Almighty God who has put His Spirit within us. Fellowship is a necessary requirement for the end-days Church and doing what God's Word tells us to do:

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.” (1 Peter 5:6-9)

This is what God told Joshua just before Israel went to war:

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:8-9)

Remember your reason for living: Jesus Christ.
Jesus put you on earth during this time to carry out His purpose. Pray much in the Holy Spirit for that will strengthen your inner man.

A spirit of repentance always precedes REVIVAL. Pray for your counties in your state even more.

“And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations...” (Revelation 2:26
