The Church, The Glorious Church, and Authority
Who is The Church?
The Church is not a building, or a denomination, but people who Christ chose in Him before the foundation of the world. (Ephesians 1:4) The Church, children of God, are Christ’s Body. (Ephesians 1:23) Most attend weekly services but their commitment to Jesus is half-hearted and often they act like children because they have not crucified their flesh or are still tied to worldly things.
The Glorious Church - 2020
The Glorious Church is the end days church that Jesus has matured and purified: “that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.” (Ephesians 5:26-27)
Do you see how important God’s Word is?
What else has the ability to sanctify and cleanse a Christian?
What would be the result if Pastors cast aside the teaching of scriptures?
How effective would the military be without weapons?
The Glorious Church are Believers who are continually washed in the Word and operate in the greater anointing to accomplish this goal: “the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself.” (Ephesians 1:23 AMPC) Father God has “put all things under Jesus’ feet and has appointed Him the universal and superior Head of the Church; [a Headship exercised throughout The Church.]” (Ephesians 1:22 AMPC) These are Believers who are submitted to Jesus, study His Word and act on it, and are pressing forward to fulfill God’s will to “do the greater works” through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Father God and our Lord Jesus Christ have "blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 1:3)
In other words, everything The Glorious Church needs to accomplish her assignment on earth has already been supplied to us. Everything we need to bring forth manifestation — demonstration — creativity has already been given to us. It is not way out in the sky somewhere but rather is located within every born again Believer. In you is the Holy Spirit — the God Who created all things on earth! Jesus said, “the Kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21)
You must know who you are in Christ Jesus in these end days! Don’t sing songs that place God “away from you” or are asking God for something He has already provided.
That is error and written by someone who doesn’t know God’s Word! True worshipers worship God in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)
What Jesus accomplished in His earthly ministry He continues to do throughout His Body – The Glorious Church on earth. He said the greater works will be done because He was going to the Father. By sending His Holy Spirit to live within each Believer, the expansion of God’s will is exceedingly multiplied as the gospel of the Kingdom is preached. Jesus continues to do the Father’s will – through The Glorious Church! “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
(Matthew 24:14)
This gospel has within it the mighty power of God and by faith it is released by the use of Jesus Christ’s name. By this Jesus has restored man to his proper place of authority and dominion over the earth which satan stole from Adam in the garden. (Read Genesis 1:26, 28 & Genesis Chapter 3)
Authority: Original Intent
When a city has a police force, each officer is trained, given a uniform, and provided weapons to enforce the laws of that city. Why? Law and order bring protection and peace to its citizens. In the same manner, God’s Body on earth is given dominion to establish God’s government, His Kingdom on earth. “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is done in Heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)
“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities.” (Romans 13:1)
When we receive Jesus into our heart, we receive the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. That means man has right standing with Almighty God. We are re-aligned to God’s purpose or original intent for mankind. (Genesis 1:26, 28) God gave man dominion on earth. “For You have made him a little lower than the angels (Elohim), and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands, You have put all things under his feet…” (Psalm 8:6)
Our authority is dependant upon working through Jesus because in John 15:5 He said “we can do NOTHING without Him!” That keeps man in check.
This is that…Scriptures on Authority
Meditate on these often.
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
(Luke 10:19)
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
“And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’” (Luke 10:9)
“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:17-18)
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…”( 2 Corinthians 10:3-5)
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:11)
“Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me:
Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.
See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms,
To root out and to pull down,
To destroy and to throw down,
To build and to plant.” (Jeremiah 1:9-10)
“And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.” (Mark 16:20)
