This is that ...

On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came...

Many Jews were confused and marveled, “Whatever can this mean?”

Then Peter standing up raised his voice and began to speak. “These are not drunk as you suppose...but this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel...” (Acts 2:16)

This is that... is a resource to reveal, and give light to scripture...by comparing scripture to scripture. Only God can reveal God. Only His Spirit can “guide us into all truth.” (John 16:13)

This is that…
February 2023
“The Established Heart”

Definition of establish: to make stable; make firm; settle.
To order, ordain, or appoint (officials, laws, etc.) permanently
To set up (a government, nation, business, etc.)
_____________________________________________________________

“But I am the Lord your God,
Who divided the sea whose waves roared--
The Lord of hosts is His name.
 And I have put My words in your mouth;
I have covered you with the shadow of My hand,
That I may plant the heavens,
Lay the foundations of the earth,
And say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’ ” (Isaiah 51:15-16)

1. The Lord of all the earth is your God.
2. He has put His word in your mouth.
3. He has covered you with His anointing.
4. He will use your words to plant the heavens and lay the foundations.
5. I say to you, you belong to Me!

“Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me:
‘Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.
See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms,
To root out and to pull down,
To destroy and to throw down,
To build and to plant.’ ” (Jeremiah 1:9-10)

1. The Lord has touched your mouth.
2. Have eyes to see into the spirit realm.
3. I set you over nations and kingdoms.
4. You are to root out and to pull down.
5. You are to destroy and throw down.
6. You are to build and to plant.

“He said to them, ‘But who do you say that I am? ’ ”

“Simon Peter answered and said, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:16-19)

1. Jesus asks you, “Who do you say I am?”
2. You are the Messiah, the Son of God, my Savior!
3. Now, you are My disciple.
4. Through this revelation, you will bring others to Me as I build My church.
5. The gates of hell shall not prevail against this revelation.
6. The gates of hell shall not stop Me from My assignment or prevent My disciples from this divine work.
7. I give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven.
8. Your words of authority that bind evil on earth will also bind evil activity in the heavenlies over your cities. Bind devils of witchcraft and sorcery!
9. Your anointed words of power will loose what you declare loosed on earth— like lost souls. That will affect the heavenlies, releasing the power of the Kingdom of God that builds His church.

“…that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.” (Ephesians 3:8-12)

1. Preach Christ to make all see and understand the mystery, hidden in God from the beginning of the ages, who created all things through Jesus.
2. The purpose is that now the wisdom of God must be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places.
3. This is the eternal purpose which God accomplished in His Son, our Lord.
4. In Jesus, His church has boldness, confidence, and access through faith in Him.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:10-12)

1. Be strong and powerful in Jesus your Lord.
2. Put on God’s armor and keep it on so that you will stand firm against the deceits (tricks) and evil military-like strategies of the devil.
3. Our number one enemy is not flesh and blood.
4. Principalities, powers, rulers and spirit forces in the heavenlies are to be cast out of our cities by the keys (word power) Jesus gave us in Matthew 16. Fear not!

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints…”
1. Since you have the mind of Christ, the helmet of salvation protects who you are in Christ. Knowing and acting on your identity in Him will cause you to think differently and pray with the authority that changes nations. (See the link below.)
2. The sword of His Spirit, God’s Word coming forth from intercessory prayers accompanied with praying in tongues, is far more powerful than the already defeated enemies of God. Tongues will re-charge your spirit.

“And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”
(Colossians 2:13-15)

1. You were made alive together with Him…His resurrection power is in you!
2. Never allow the devil to bring up past sins; they do not exist!
3. Jesus nailed your evil past to His cross.
4. Jesus stripped the devil while in Hell.
5. Jesus’ triumph over the enemy was our triumph over the enemy.
6. Live every day in Jesus and His Resurrection power!
7. Your heart is established in the Lord.
8. Fulfill your assignment church! When we all fulfill our purpose, we become His Glorious Church without spot or wrinkle!

The Established Heart is you, dear one!

February 2023
“Lord, what about 2023?”

Two Trees … Two Choices
“And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” (Genesis 2:9)

“Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, ‘Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.’ ”
(Genesis 2:15-17)

In The Beginning…The Test
“And he said to the woman, ‘Has God indeed said, “You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” ‘And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”
Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” (Genesis 3:1-5)

Eve not only misstated the commandment of God but also believed that knowing good and evil would make her wise. (Genesis 3:6)
So she ate and then “gave to her husband with her, and he ate.”

Definition of Deceive: to persuade someone that something false is the truth, or to keep the truth hidden from someone for your own advantage

And so her belief infected all her children with the sin nature. Untold sorrow and wickedness were released when Adam and Eve could have eaten from the tree of life!

Jesus! The Savior of the World
Jesus, born of the virgin Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit, had a sin nature as well; but He chose not to sin throughout His life!

His divine calling and His love for Father were always first place. He came to redeem man! Even when in the desert for forty days, Jesus always chose scripture against the lies of His enemy, satan. (Matthew 4:1-11) What about born again Christians? Shouldn’t we be like Jesus as well?

“… knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him…” (Romans 6:6-8)

What about 2023?
Revival and Judgment!

Just like Adam and Eve, every day we will have choices to make. Eat from the Tree of Life, your Bible! Don’t seek after the glitter of the world: the knowledge of good and the knowledge of evil.

Watch out for distractions that come to steal your time with the Lord.
That will eventually steal your anointing and hinder your race. Praying in tongues will drop off too. For an Intercessor that may mean souls will not be reached!
And, if you are a Pastor, your spoken words will become ineffective and the church will not get their battery charged up! The power of Holy Spirit at work in the Body of Christ must not be lost from the local church. The thief opposes the Kingdom of God and desires to start with Pastors…

Daily Choices Matter
From the moment we wake up till the time we to go to bed, we have many choices to make, especially now that we have become so attached to technology. What are we reading, watching, and listening to? The gap between good and evil should be widening as we get closer to Jesus’ return in the air. We do not want to be left behind!

Recently, my husband and I began watching a drama series  based on a true story of a deaf woman who was hired to help the FBI with criminal cases. Her ability to read lips helped them many times to solve difficult cases. The actress, so good, kind, and knowledgeable, once in awhile spoke of God. But I began to realize that as the series was continuing, the stories were becoming darker and more disturbing, showing the underground wickedness of terrorist and cell groups kidnapping and killing people, trying to blow up our cities. Holy Spirit inside me was saying this is not for me. So we stopped watching it.

Why? We were eating from the wrong tree, the one called, “The tree of knowledge of good and evil.” Yes, the FBI was doing their job, but as an Intercessor, I need to be more watchful over my heart and what I put before my eyes and allow into my ears…especially before bedtime.

I don’t want the Word and peace of God planted in my heart every morning to become stolen at night. That will affect my armor and effective praying. (Ephesians 6:10-19) Thank God there’s so much anointed teaching to watch on YouTube. Or perhaps something like Andy Griffith once in a while would be okay…haha.

Jesus and The Kingdom of God: 2023
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.” (Revelation 2:7)

These things keep coming up to me like a billboard sign for 2023:
  1. Our prayers are being answered. Yes, revival is here!
  2. So is extreme wickedness. As it was in the days of Noah…
  3. Separation! The Parable of the Tares and the Wheat is taking place. Separation and dividing in the political realm and also in churches is taking place. Imagine churches embracing homosexuality! Are we to take Romans, Chapter One, out of the Bible? Saints, everything is being separated by the Lord for a reason. Read Mark 4:10-20 often.
  4. The Great Apostasy: a falling away, a withdrawal, a defection. In Christianity, apostasy is a withdrawal from faith and trust in God. Some who once walked with Jesus, will walk with Him no more…(2 Thessalonians 2:3)

“You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.” (2 Peter 3:17-18)

Beloved, we were chosen to live in the last days: “A chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people…” (1 Peter 2:9)
