This is that ...

On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came...

Many Jews were confused and marveled, “Whatever can this mean?”

Then Peter standing up raised his voice and began to speak. “These are not drunk as you suppose...but this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel...” (Acts 2:16)

This is that... is a resource to reveal, and give light to scripture...by comparing scripture to scripture. Only God can reveal God. Only His Spirit can “guide us into all truth.” (John 16:13)

Original Intent

“You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth,
And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
They will perish, but You remain;
And they will all grow old like a garment;
Like a cloak You will fold them up,
And they will be changed.
But You are the same,
And Your years will not fail.
But to which of the angels has He ever said:
‘Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool’? Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

“Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?

“For He has not put the world to come, of which we speak, in subjection to angels. But one testified in a certain place, saying:
“What is man that You are mindful of him,
Or the son of man that You take care of him?
You have made him a little lower than the angels;
You have crowned him with glory and honor,
And set him over the works of Your hands.
You have put all things in subjection under his feet.”

“For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.”  (Hebrews 1:13-2:9)

The Father chose us to live on earth during these end days just prior to Jesus’ return. God saves his best for His most important assignments. Remember Simeon and Anna the prophetess? Simeon, who was waiting for the Consolation of Israel, lifted up Jesus in his arms, prophesied, and blessed Him. Anna, who did not depart the temple, “served God with fastings and prayers night and day,” saw the infant Jesus as He was in the temple. Both Simeon and Anna were born to bless Our Savior.

Intercessory prayers have never been more important as Jesus’ return is getting much closer. We know we are making preparations for Our Savior to receive multitudes out of the nations before His return!

This is that…
February 2024

The Scepter of Righteousness

“But to the Son He says:
‘Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You
With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.’” (Hebrews 1:8-9)

A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom. This is an amazing insight into God’s hidden ways.

What is a scepter?
A scepter is a staff or rod. Let us try to define what this means to the New Creation Believer on earth. Along with the new birth came your divine and unique purpose that no one else has or can fulfill, similar to the unique thumb print each person has on earth. When you made Jesus your Lord and Savior, He made you the righteousness of God in Himself. All things became new as you found your Beloved.

Vines Dictionary says a scepter is a rod, a staff, is used of Aaron’s rod: a staff used on a journey; a ruler staff; in the book of Revelation it is used as a rod of chastisement; to smite or strike.

Are we then to go forth and beat the lost in to becoming Christians?
Ha, of course not. How then is the scepter of righteousness to be used for the Kingdom of God?

Words!!!

Jesus said the Kingdom of God is in you. When you intercede for the lost and pray for those in government, you release words which have the power to bring change to this natural world. A Believer full of God’s word, operating in the anointing of the Holy Spirit, has dynamic authority and power.

The rod is your right standing in God the Father to make you bold to witness to the lost or is released through powerful intercession.

A once dedicated Christian who is being swept into the seduction of worldliness will eventually let go of their church, Bible Study, and prayer. Some may not be able to break loose of deception and demonic strongholds.

The Apostle Paul warns The Church in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12:
“Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.”

“And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

The Scepter of Righteousness
That rod cannot be effective in the mouth of a backslidden Christian.
When the Word of God is left behind, so also is the power of authority which righteousness stands on!

Saints, many of us have walked with the Lord for decades. We know the power of prayer and intercession. That’s all the more reason for us to guard our hearts against a crafty enemy who wants to hinder us.

Continue to abide in Him 24/7. Continue in prayers of intercession for the time of His return is far closer than when we first began.

Remember your purpose…you’re the Sheriff in town…bind and loose!!!

“And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:18-19)

Those keys are in your mouth, Saints!

February 2024
You’ve been drafted!

2024: The Glorious Church without Spots or Wrinkles

You and I have been sent on assignment to earth to live here and establish God’s Kingdom on earth in these nasty end days. Every generation of Christians has had the call to bring souls into God’s Kingdom.

So what’s different in 2024?
Earth just reached a population of 8 Billion people!
When debauchery increases it becomes a pandemic! In our day it is extremely important to pray and intercede with Holy Spirit. This intercession has no limits for we are not hindered by this physical realm! We go to the higher realm to pray over our cities. Tongues go where you know not. It has no barriers, no boundaries, and is so top secret the enemy cannot steal it. I like to pray over maps. Get a world atlas if you don’t have one. Holy Spirit can guide you to areas He wants you to release tongues over. And don’t forget Israel.

In the Book of Titus, some important revelations were released from the Apostle Paul. Let’s see how the first four verses are relevant to us in these last days.
“Paul, a bondservant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect and the acknowledgment of the truth which accords with godliness, 2 in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began, 3 but has in due time manifested His word through preaching, which was committed to me according to the commandment of God our Savior; 4 To Titus, a true son in our common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.”
Vs. 1
Definition of bondservant: one bound to service without wages; also a slave.
An apostle, it’s who Paul is, chosen by Jesus Christ to establish and mature the faith of God’s chosen ones as we acknowledge (receive) His truth. That leads to maturity, endurance, and godliness to establish God’s Kingdom on earth.
Vs. 2
Godliness is established on the hope of eternal life with God, who can never lie, and was promised before time even began. All life began and came forth from the Almighty God who is eternal and all powerful. The earth and all we see was in Him before Earth’s clock started ticking, before time began.
Vs. 3
The Word of God is manifested with power through one who is anointed to bring understanding of divine truths: taking what is spiritual and releasing it in the earthly realm by words. Example: when the lost believe in Jesus or when an intercessor is praying over the cities of their state, God’s word is being sent to change lives, states or nations. As multitudes of Believers are releasing heavenly power, the church is building up muscle to fulfill and equip them to advance in their calling. For the Apostle Paul, he changed whole cities, filling countries with born again citizens of the Kingdom of God. How? The POWER is in God’s Word which comes alive to the unsaved ear. The regeneration of the new birth is then released and The Church expands!

Vs. 4
How does Paul release Kingdom power to the Beloved believers? By speaking, (preaching) or as in a written letter to Titus, releasing words from Holy Spirit: “Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.” Praise God I take it!

Month Two: 2024
God Knows the End at the Beginning

God has kept His best and toughest soldiers for the end days! We are His people who endure and never give up!
  1. His best get to reap earth’s harvest of souls
  2. His best get to prepare earth for His Son’s return!

Being called or drafted into God’s army has 24/7 benefits that give us angelic safety and a reason or purpose for living, not to mention the rewards of eternal life and the callings that are ahead of us, when we come back to earth with Him. Just think, we will have transformed bodies just like Jesus had after His resurrection from the dead!
