The Groaning ...
Early Birth Signs!
“For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God...
For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also....even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body... Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” (See Romans 8:18-27)
1. Who is groaning? The whole creation (nature).
Why are they groaning?
Nature is groaning for the revealing of the sons of God to use their authority to manifest peace and order in the heavenlies and on earth due to the fracturing and disorder that rampant sin is producing.
2. Who is groaning? The Body of Christ.
Why are we groaning?
We are waiting for the adoption: the redemption of our bodies that will occur in a twinkling of an eye.
“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery:
We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.” (1 Corinthians 15:50-54)
The deep inward groaning or yearning of God’s children is the waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our bodies. Like a woman in labor, her birth pangs intensify with time until a great amount of pressure comes just before the delivery.
3. Who else is groaning? The Holy Spirit.
He is groaning with us to give us help when our spiritual and mental strength is depleted and we feel overcome with bad news. If fear is taking hold and entering in, Holy Spirit is there to provide courage and renew boldness. He is the one Who enlightens scripture to transform it into power to be released to your inner man. To every Believer baptized in Him, He is there within you, not outside somewhere, but in you, to strengthen your spirit, soul, and body.
He makes intercession for you with groanings which cannot be uttered out loud until the Believer releases them in tongues.
The unity of Holy Spirit and you is not really two but the two are one. It is like this: Holy Spirit/spirit. Meditate on this:
He is all power. He is the One who raised Jesus out of Hell!
That same resurrection power is in you! (Romans 8:11)
TONGUES!
Praying in tongues is tapping into the power grid of God!
Many of His children are not giving voice to releasing this power.
When we become weak and downcast it may be because we are not letting the power within — out.
When my tea kettle’s water is boiling and bubbling up, it produces a high pitched noise and gets my attention. I take the lid off, pressure escapes, and the screaming subsides!
Saints, there’s no doubt the end days are difficult times, but God has given us Himself.
Let Him express Himself! Pray more in tongues! The power that created the universe and everything on earth is in you and me, the Body of Christ. We are equipped to overcome!
Withstand the pressure of evil in these last days. Pray in tongues throughout your day, here and there, or more as time permits. The screaming will stop!
Philippians 1:28
“Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel...
and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.
