January 2023: The Spirit Realm Realities
“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
(1 Corinthians 13:13)
GOD IS LOVE
Why is love the greatest of these? Because without love, faith and hope lose their foundation. Without love, faith and hope cannot release the Kingdom of God into the earth. That does not please God because “the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.” (1 John 5:19)
The Whole World
Imagine getting onto a freeway where no one is obeying the speed limits. Suddenly there is chaos everywhere! People are driving every which way, changing lanes, speeding up…then suddenly slowing down, no regard for others. Uh oh, there’s a crash over there and then another one in the fast lane. Panic and chaos have taken over; fear is everywhere as people come to a stop because they cannot move. “How can I get off this freeway? Is there any way out of this?”
What did Jesus say about love?
“ ‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31)
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35)
Paul gave us a description of what love looks like in action. See 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Notice below what happens when nations turn away from God.
End Days: Perilous, Chaotic Times
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
Definition of Perilous: full of danger or risk; hazardous, risky, unsafe
What then?
Are God’s people to live in fear continually, like being stuck on a freeway with the ungodly ruling in our governments??? Absolutely not! “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.” (1 John 4:17) The Helper, the Holy Spirit lives within you. That means the Kingdom of God is in you. He will direct your steps and keep you from getting stuck in world chaos. But will you hear Him?
“Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.” (Mark 4:19) The Word has enemies!
The Unfruitful Word
If fear and the cares of this world enter into you it’s a sign you are being pulled away from scripture: your soul desires other things. Faith cannot move the mountain. Prayer becomes ineffective and the Kingdom of God does not bear fruit. Faith works through love; loving God, loving His Word, loving others.
One Generation: You!
We are the generation sent to harvest souls into God’s Kingdom. Walking in faith, hope, and love are especially important to Intercessors.
If we choose to abide in worldly programs, newscasts, party lifestyles, alcohol, and so on, Holy Spirit/ spirit-man may become silenced as soul and body are taking you away … influenced by the sway of the wicked one. That current is strong, saints. Watch out! Some, whose heart becomes so hardened may not be able to get back.
Keep your will set on God’s ways every day. Holy Spirit will prompt us to study the Word, pray throughout the day in tongues, listen to faith teachings and so on. Eat from the tree of life, not the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Peter says:
“His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.” (2 Peter 3-7)
Jesus our High Priest and Intercessor
“Also there were many priests, because they were prevented by death from continuing. But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” (Hebrews 7:23-25)
His call has become our call. This strong desire we have burning in our hearts for lost humanity comes from the heart of our Lord.
When God sent the Holy Spirit to earth on the day of Pentecost, tongues of fire sat on the 120 prayers in the upper room. The power of tongues was manifested. “When the sound occurred, the multitude came together and were confused…”
Peter stood up and preached and that day 3,000 people got saved!
(See Acts Chapter 2)
Tongues!
There is no defining of the power of this gift, for it starts in our hearts where Holy Spirit resides. When released it can give praises to the Most High and increase our strength. It also joins us together with others who are seated in high places in prayer. And, of course, tongues can be released with great authority as a tremendous weapon of power against principalities and powers in the air over our cities.
Spirit-led tongues can take you into your divine place of authority to loose multitudes from the captivity of demons. Tongues can cause the lost in your city to hear the gospel and receive Jesus as Lord. Tongues are a mighty weapon that blast through the air. They cannot be contained or stopped. They are divinely sent. The devil can’t stop tongues. However, he does desire to keep you from praying in tongues. Why? Because he cannot steal what he doesn’t know. One way satan can stop tongues is through the soul to distract you.
When the 120 prayers began to pray in tongues, an anointing came upon Peter to preach the Word. His anointed words were received by the lost and curious. His words became as living water which got them born again!
We have this same power; even quick prayers for one we may see on a street corner or someone in a store are powerful. An intercessor is touched with God’s compassion for those that are lost.
Saints, multitudes of souls are seeking what they know not. Our High Priest and Intercessor is calling them into Him…
Remember this: we are one Body seated in heavenly places in Him. When we pray, we are never alone but are joining together with other parts that we know not in the natural.
*The spirit-man has a “need” to express the deep things in the heart to the Father through tongues.
Secrets of 2023
There’s something about this year 2023. Some of those things are hidden.
God is not revealing everything to the prophets, but intercessors have the job to pray them in! Ask God for more about this. What a divine and glorious call we have been given. “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done Lord Jesus!”
