Now there is only one!
On a mountain top that overlooks the Pacific Ocean only one tree is left and that one just barely! The other tree has dried up and died. For many years “Two Trees” was a landmark for my city. What happened? A very slow decrease, year after year, of rain.
Two Trees
In God’s garden, He spoke to the earth to bring forth trees that yield fruit, “whose seed is in itself.” (Genesis 1:12) Later, He would speak to His son Adam not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for “in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” (Genesis 1:17)
The Freedom to Choose
You and I can only live in today.
Every day, Father gives us the choice to eat of the Life of Scripture, or to go with the flow of the world. Living life with Holy Spirit is a glorious joy that blossoms with anointed fruit. “Against such there is no law.” (Galatians 5:23) That fruit is a witness to the lost and suffering!
June 2022
The unsaved still have a choice to obey God and eat of the tree of life before the climactic event of the Church being removed from the earth.
Those who continually harden their hearts against God are becoming crazy! The definition of crazy is mentally deranged, especially as manifested in a wild or aggressive way. Well, they’re eating poison fruit. And so, “God gives them up.” (See Romans 1:18-32)
The Powerful Ministry of Prayer
Yet there’s hope for the blind! You and I have an anointing of power to release those “whose minds the god of this world has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.” (2 Corinthians 4:4)
Fruit of the Latter Rain: One Generation!
The early rain was the first Pentecost- Acts 2:1-21.
The latter rain began in1948 as Israel became a nation. The Pentecostal movement exploded in the1950’s, 60’s, and 70’s!
“Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place.” (Luke 21:32)
“Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.” (James 5:7-8)
“Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you—The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month.” (Joel 2:23)
“Let us now fear the Lord our God, Who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season.” (Jeremiah 5:24)
“Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth.” (Hosea 6:3)
“Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone.” (Zechariah 10:1)
So ask the Lord for rain!
Remember, dear Saint, you fulfilling your life’s call is dependant on what tree you eat from. The only tree that bears Kingdom fruit is from your Bible as it becomes life within your spirit to re-charge your anointing with power! Scripture is fruit “whose seed is in itself.”
“Two trees” in my city stands as a picture of life … without rain.
Keeping Your Tree Alive with Fruit
I remember Brother Copeland sharing that once a year experienced pilots do what is called “recurrent flight training” to stay sharp. One company on the internet says recurrent training “empowers you with unwavering calmness and composure needed for all situations, from the everyday to the unusual. We train you to stay sharp, fine tuned, and always prepared.”
After over 40 years of walking with the Lord, I still need recurrent training, especially during turbulent times…how about you?
I have written over 150 Bible Lessons on what I consider the two most important subjects of Scripture: 1. “Walking/living by Faith in the Word” and 2. Knowing “Who You are In Christ.” Since we are seated in heavenly places in Christ, like pilots, let’s sharpen our spiritual skills from Scripture. Suggestion: Prayer with Purpose Bible Studies.
Have fun!
Get a new notebook, take notes, look up scripture! Anointed prayers that change nations begin at the power station of studying with Holy Spirit.
That is the tree of life, the Kingdom of God!
