"... the LORD will arise over you,
and His glory
will be seen upon you."
Isaiah 60:2

Let’s do a brief recap of our last Bible Lesson.
Hear what the Spirit is saying to His Church.
“I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!” Luke 12:49
John the Baptist prophesied of Jesus:
“And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees.
Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry.
“He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Matthew 3:11-12
You and I are living in a unique sliver of time. Like a line drawn in the sand, we are moving closer to the return of Jesus when we will be caught up to meet Him in the air.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)
The removal of Believers, who are watching for His return, will leave the nations open for the man of sin to take center stage. Read 2 Thessalonians 2:12.
This season of earth’s history is called The Tribulation and will last for seven years. The very heavens will be dissolved, being on fire. (2 Peter 3:12 & Psalm 102:26)
"But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that the Day should overtake you as a thief." (1 Thessalonians 5:4)
"For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him."
(1 Thessalonians 5:9)

The Parable of the Tares and Wheat
Let’s review this teaching the LORD gave His disciples 2,000 years ago. Why?
Because we are living right in the middle of what Jesus prophesied would come to pass.
It will help to strengthen you.
“The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.
“So the servants of the owner came and said to him,
‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’
“He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.
“‘Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”’” (Matthew 13:24-30)
Jesus explained the parable in Matthew 13:37-43 in this manner:
The good seeds are the sons of the Kingdom.
The reapers are His angels.
They will gather out of His Kingdom
all things that offend,
and those who practice lawlessness,
to cast them into the furnace of fire.
“Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” (Matthew 13:43)
Division — Separation
The angels are at work dividing the good seeds from the bad. What people believe in their hearts is being made known openly.
Definition of Divide: separate, split, disunite, cause to disagree, cause to take sides, disagreement, discord, disconnect
"LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED" John 14:1
When we understand the season we were called to live in, we will be better equipped to understand why things are taking place the way they are in our nation. Bad seeds are gathering together and will eventually be bundled together for judgment.
Good seeds, or the wheat, will be gathered together in His barn.
“Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” (Revelation 3:10)
Just before the return of Jesus Christ to remove His Church from the earth, the Holy Spirit will be poured out on all flesh. Multitudes will come to be healed and delivered. God will harvest the earth and millions of people from every nation will be saved before the great and terrible Day of the LORD.
THE TRIBULATION
“Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.” Revelation 9:3
“For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” Revelation 6:17
“The Lord gives voice before His army, (not His Church)
For His camp is very great;
For strong is the One who executes His word.
For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible;
Who can endure it?
“ ‘Now, therefore,’ says the Lord,
‘Turn to Me with all your heart,
With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.’ ” (Joel 2:11-12)

The mystery of iniquity:
The root of this is defiant unbelief in God and His word!
The carnal mind is enmity against God and leads to death. (Romans 8:6-7)
The old nature demands to be self sufficient and is highly absorbed with meeting selfish desires that are ruled by the five-sense realm: what we see, hear, touch, taste and feel. Every man born on earth inherited this from Adam.
But every man has the choice to be delivered from this.
THE MYSTERY OF THE CHURCH
“Christ in you the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:26-27)
The New Creation, the born again man, is enfolded in and one with the Spirit of God! We have the nature of the “last Adam, a life-giving Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 15:45)
Guard Your Heart!
We are in the world, but not of the world … (John 17:16)
The Kingdom of God within us needs to be protected.
“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” (Matthew 11:12)
“The Lord has established His throne in heaven,
And His kingdom rules over all.” Psalm 103:19
How?
By His Holy Spirit through His Church!
Diversities of gifts, differences of ministries, diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. That’s you and that’s me.
“Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.” (1 Corinthians 12:27-28)
“But the manifestation of the spirit is given to each one for the profit of all …”
“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore …” (Matthew 28:18-19)
Closing Comments
Be fervent to fulfill your assignment. But while you’re working for the LORD, don’t forget what He said.
“Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.
It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning— lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping.
"And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!” (Mark 13:33-37)
