" ... the Spirit of truth,
whom the world cannot receive,
because it neither sees Him nor knows Him;
but you know Him,
for He dwells with you and will be in you."
John 14:17
___________________________________________________________

Dear Ambassadors of Prayer,
We are a part of a significant and powerful call to pray in God’s plan and purpose for the End of Days Revival. Last week we prayed for our States/Countries.
God said, “Much was accomplished.”

In this lesson we will focus on vitally important foundations to effective intercession.

SECRETS OF INTERCESSION
Intercession: “And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.”
Ezekiel 22:30

Fulfillment: Jesus Christ!
“…that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:19

The Call to His Church …
Praying to God on behalf of kings, all those in authority, and that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth: for there is only one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all.  See 1Timothy 2:1-6.

And praying always for all the saints…the Holy Spirit Himself making intercession for the saints according to the will of God. See Ephesians 6:18 & Romans 26-28.
Pray much in the Holy Spirit.

1. Seeing the Invisible
Throughout our lives, there will always be much that can be learned about prayer. Stay humble to learn more. The ingredients to an effective on-going vibrant prayer life begin with knowing God’s will through the Word of God. Train yourself not to be moved by what you see in the natural but to continually look within to be led by our Lord and Savior, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

We focus on the promise, not the problem.

As we pray for revival in our cities, be assured you are on a divine mission and God is working with each of us to produce fruit that will be seen. God is not an absentee Father. He is right here, right now, abiding with us, desiring that we yield and be led by His Spirit.

The more we yield, the more we grow!

Downtrodden?
If you’ve become discouraged and overwhelmed with what things look like in the world, you’re armor has been punctured with lies from the deceiver. Get back on track by studying God’s Word. Praying people walk by faith with God in the unseen realm, confident that what we see is subject to change.

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.

“For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Revival? It Just Seems Impossible …

Jesus said to His disciples, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.

“And those who heard it said, ‘Who then can be saved?’

“But He said, ‘The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” Luke 18:24-27

Definition of Impossible: out of the question; not possible; unable to bring about, unachievable; unattainable; beyond belief; beyond reason; unimaginable; inconceivable

Definition of Possible: conceivable, credible, capable of being done; attainable; performable; capable of happening

To do the impossible requires seeing the invisible.

The foundation to everything for a Christian is the Word of God.
After all, you were born of that seed, a seed which is perfect and incorruptible.
1 Peter 1:23

“The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”

Seeing this scripture, believing this scripture (SEED) will then be planted in your heart and germinate just like an apple seed when it is planted in fertile ground and is watered and fertilized. It will grow into a tree that bears much fruit to bless others.
What pray-ers hold in their heart will affect their prayer life.

2. Faith-Filled Words Dominate the Law of Sin and Death
Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue, fell at Jesus’ feet and begged him for his daughter’s life.

“Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.”

So Jesus went with him but a woman who had an infirmity for 12 years, grabbed hold of Jesus’ garment, for she had said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

“Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

Can you imagine what Jairus must have been feeling during this delay when Jesus was talking to the woman? Then came the awful report, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?”

It’s all over. There’s no hope! Have you ever had that thought come to you right after you prayed and believed?

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, ‘Do not be afraid; only believe.’

I can just see Jesus turn to Jairus with total firmness and strength:
“Do not be afraid. Only believe!”

Faith is the “live wire” connection to the supernatural, the invisible realm that does not function on the five-senses: touch, sight, smell, taste, and hearing. Faith overrides all earthly circumstances and is the link to the supernatural. Fear is a powerful spiritual force that will disconnect faith from receiving. It turns off the light.

Fear screams: “My daughter is dead. It’s over. There’s no hope. Lord, why did you let this happen? If that lady had not interrupted us my daughter could have lived.” Fear will block the connection that the supernatural flows through.

Jesus said, “Do not be afraid…only believe!”
We know those words of life penetrated and removed the whirlwind of darkness and fear. Jesus’ words, and also what Jairus said to Jesus at the start, were still in operation and far more powerful than the finality of death. This is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith!  1 John 5:4

“Little girl, I say to you, arise.” Read this passage in Mark 5:22-43.
Death could not hold her down, and death could not keep Jesus in the grave either! Praise God!

But what did keep Jesus from fulfilling His Father’s will in His home town?
What does scripture say? Read Mark 6:1-6 and see what Jesus marveled at.

Jesus, the Author and Finisher of Jairus’ faith, did not leave him and He will never leave us! “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ …”  2 Corinthians 2:14

The Roman Soldier
It is wonderfully amazing to me to study the gospels and see the variations of faith from different people. Do you remember the Centurion who came to Jesus and asked for the deliverance of his servant who was dreadfully tormented?

“I will come and heal him.
“Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.

“For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.

“When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! …Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.'

"
And his servant was healed that same hour. See Matthew 8:5-13.
It makes me wonder if Jairus could have had the same immediate results that the Centurion had …

“According to your faith let it be to you.” Matthew 9:29

Jairus, The Woman, and The Soldier
“Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.”
“If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
“But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.”

FAITH THIEVES
Did you know we’re in a faith war? Your enemy’s main target is your faith. Your faith is part of God’s armor that quenches every fiery dart. They are like incoming missiles, sent to blow up your faith. Most often they are silent and deceptively quiet. “Did God really say…?”

Let us not be ignorant of his devices. Listen and monitor your thoughts! And for goodness sake, submit to your Pastor and his covering. Stay in church and fellowship with the saints. Take your nourishment from behind enemy lines!

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,  casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…” 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Submit to God, Resist the Devil

“Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for ‘God resists the proud,
but gives grace to the humble.’

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.” 1 Peter 5:5-10

THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS

In a letter to Timothy, the Apostle Paul said,
“…I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:

“God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory.”  1Timothy 3:15-16

JESUS CHRIST: The Mystery of Godliness Revealed

In this lesson we’ll take a closer look, line by line, at 1Timothy 3:16.

  1. God was manifested in the flesh
  2. Justified in the Spirit
  3. Seen by angels
  4. Preached among the Gentiles
  5. Believed on in the world
  6. Received up in glory

1.  The Word Becomes Flesh

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

“… the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us …” 1 John 1:2

“He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you …” 1 Peter 1:20

“And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.”
1 John 3:5

“He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8

2.  Justified in the Spirit
“When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.” Matthew 3:16

“… and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.” Romans 1:4

3.  Seen by Angels
“Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.” Matthew 4:11

“Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.” Luke 22:43

“And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it.” Matthew 28:2

4.  Preached Among the Gentiles
“Then Peter opened his mouth and said: ‘In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.’” Acts 10:34  (Preaching to Cornelius’ Household)

“But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, ‘Lord, who has believed our report?’ So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

“‘But I say, have they not heard? Yes indeed:

“Their sound has gone out to all the earth,
And their words to the ends of the world.’” Romans 10:16-18

5.  Believed on in the World
“… but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith…"
Romans 16:26

“For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”
2 Corinthians 1:19-20

"… the word of the truth of the gospel, which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth…” Colossians 1:5-6

“… if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.” Colossians 1:23

6.  Received up in Glory
“Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven.” Luke 24:51

“Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.” Acts 1:9

Jesus came to pay a debt He didn’t owe because we owed a debt we couldn’t pay.

As a child growing up in a large denomination, I heard and believed what I was taught about Jesus Christ without every hearing that you must be born again. It wasn’t until I was an adult that I believed and received Him as my Lord and my Savior. Grace and faith produced the spark of eternal life that turned my life into liberty and in one moment I was drastically changed, set free from the kingdom of darkness, translated into the Kingdom of the Son.
I found and embraced my reason for living: Jesus!

The Mystery Now Revealed to the Saints

“… the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations,
  • but now has been revealed to His saints.
  • To them God willed to make known
  • what are the riches of the glory
  • of this mystery among the Gentiles:
  • which is Christ in you,
  • the hope of glory.”  Colossians 1:26

Suggested Assignment
Go over the scriptures in this lesson several times this week.
One or more of them will stand out to you.
Meditate on that scripture to get it down into your spirit.

That happened to me this week. The scripture below has captured my attention and curiosity, leading me to further research. Digging for hidden treasures has rewards!

“Their sound has gone out to all the earth,
And their words to the ends of the world.”
  Romans 10:18

"... God, who gives us richly
all things to enjoy."
1 Timothy 6:17
_______________________________________________________________

End Days Church,
“We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.”

2 Corinthians 5:20 NIV

God did not take us to heaven immediately after being born again. Why not?
Every child has a call to fulfill. Every child carries God’s purpose. All ministries, whether  directly or indirectly,  are flowing toward this one message to the unsaved world:
“BE RECONCILED TO GOD!”

Christ’s earthly ministry and purpose continues in the heart of every Believer because He has given us of His Spirit, of His purpose. Every member of Christ’s Body is an Ambassador for Him.

What is an ambassador?
An ambassador is the highest-ranking person who represents his or her own government while living in another country.

And more specifically an ambassador is:
An official envoy; especially :  a diplomatic agent of the highest rank accredited to a foreign government or sovereign as the resident representative of his or her own government or sovereign or appointed for a special and often temporary diplomatic assignment ; an authorized representative or messenger; an unofficial representative (traveling abroad as ambassadors of goodwill)

Now imagine that ambassador wandering here and there, without direction, always searching, wanting more of something, yet not having a clue to what is Heaven’s assignment for them. I’m not speaking of unsaved people; I’m speaking of born again children of God. Many Christians do not have any knowledge of who they are in Christ or what He has given to them.

COVENANT FAITHFULNESS
Jonathan, King Saul’s son, had a holy covenant with David that even extended to his family if he should die. “You shall not cut off your kindness from my house forever…”
See 1 Samuel 20:15. Years after Jonathan’s death, King David would inquire of Jonathan’s household.

“Now David said, ‘Is there still anyone who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?’"
And Ziba told the King about Jonathan’s son, Mephibosheth, who many years ago had become lame after an accident when he was five years old. The lame prince had been staying in the house of Machir. King David summoned him to his palace where he fell on his face before the King.

“David said to him, ‘Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.'

“Then he bowed himself, and said, ‘What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I?’

“And the king called to Ziba, Saul’s servant, and said to him, ‘I have given to your master’s son all that belonged to Saul and to all his house.

“‘You therefore, and your sons and your servants, shall work the land for him, and you shall bring in the harvest, that your master’s son may have food to eat. But Mephibosheth your master’s son shall eat bread at my table always.’ Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.” Read 2 Samuel 9:1-13

Three times in this passage the word kindness is used.

COVENANT KINDNESS: CHESED

The Hebrew word for covenant kindness is “chesed” or “hesed.” It’s not possible to  translate the meaning of hesed into just one English word.

Vine’s Dictionary:
“In general, one may identify three basic meanings of hesed, and these 3 meanings always interact: strength, steadfastness, and love. Any understanding of hesed that fails to suggest all three inevitably loses some of its richness.

“Love by itself easily becomes sentimentalized or universalized apart from the covenant. Yet strength or steadfastness suggests only the fulfillment of a legal (or similar) obligation.

“Hesed refers primarily to mutual and reciprocal rights and obligations between the parties of a relationship (especially Jehovah and Israel). But hesed is not only a matter of obligation but is also of generosity. It is not only a matter of loyalty, but also of mercy. Hesed implies personal involvement and commitment in a relationship beyond the rule of law.”

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN COVENANT AND LOVINGKINDNESS
Hesed is related to God’s Covenant and the gift of grace, in that hesed was (is) extended by God when it is completely undeserved.

God's hesed is His persistent, unconditional tenderness, kindness, and mercy; a relationship in which God seeks after man with His love and mercy as when God immediately sought after Adam when he had sinned in the garden.

One minister put it this way: Hesed is God’s overwhelming, unending desire to shower us with His abundant lovingkindness and unearned favor. We can see hesed in action when King David went searching for someone of Jonathan’s household that he might extend his lovingkindness upon.

Although the children of Israel were continually unfaithful to God, yet His mercy and lovingkindness was still extended to them.

“I will betroth you to Me forever;
Yes, I will betroth you to Me
In righteousness and justice,
In lovingkindness and mercy;
I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness,
And you shall know the Lord.” Hosea 2:19-20

HOLY BRETHREN
Because of the covenant and integrity of righteousness made between David and Jonathan, Mephibosheth’s honor and respect were restored. Not only that, but the right to his inheritance was reinstated as King David gave to him all the estates of King Saul!

David also appointed servants to him, and gave him a place of nobility. Mephibosheth would always “eat at the King’s table like one of his own sons.”

COVENANT RESTORATION
Mephibosheth knew he was the son of Jonathan and the grandson of King Saul but that’s as far as it went. He was living far below his inheritance rights and perhaps was not even aware of what belonged to him. I don’t believe he knew of the covenant made between his father Jonathan and David. He lived a timid and fearful life…what would become of him and his son, Micha? Perhaps he even viewed his ancestry as a death warrant, being himself a target of King David.

Within his heart, Mephibosheth saw himself as nothing better than a dog! And a dead dog at that! Who knows what was told him as a child growing up with servants…?

Jonathan would have been severely grieved to see how his son Mephibosheth was living and how he thought of himself.

How many Christians are living this same kind of miserable life today:
dishonored, disrespected, in debt, without the knowledge that they are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, living under the bondage of fear, seeing themselves and their lives as worthless and without purpose, wanting to depart this life and go home and be with the LORD.  See Romans 8:12-17.

“Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, ‘Abba, Father!’ Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” See Galatians 4:3-7.
Saints, now that’s hesed!

God made His Son to be sin for you and me. He transferred His Son’s righteousness into us when we made Him LORD and Savior. 2 Corinthians 5:21 There is nothing higher than this, God’s extreme love, grace, and forgiveness given to us--without depending on our works! Praise God!

THE NEW COVENANT
The New Testament is the New Covenant between God and His Son that can never be annulled or broken, for it is ratified in blood and based on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on behalf of all mankind. God would now write His Law on the hearts of those who are born again, on the spirit of the new-creation man.

“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” Hebrews 8: 10

THE NEW CREATION MAN:

“Old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God ...” 2 Corinthians 5:17

CONFLICT
The unrenewed mind will challenge the above scripture regularly. Why?
Because “ the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; these are contrary to one another...” Galatians 5:17

“Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16
Jesus said, "By your patience possess your soul." Luke 21:19

How does this relate to Mephibosheth’s life?

What's all this got to do with hesed?

Mephibosheth received the abundance of goodness, hesed, from the hand of the King.
He received the benefits of his father’s covenant, something provided before his birth.
He received his family’s inheritance, name, and servants.
He was no longer in fear, for his father’s covenant brought the honor of dining at the King’s table as a son.
Mephibosheth’s life was translated from a life of darkness to the abundant life of riches, grace, and favor.
The old man that saw himself as a dead dog was gone.
All things were made new.
The transfer of wealth belonged to him …all of his life.

Every one of these statements could be also said about the born again Christian and be found in scripture. Selah

Ministers of Prayer,
FAITH: THE MASTER KEY TO MATURITY

When I was a child, my parents trained me in my morning routine: get up when the alarm goes off! Then brush my teeth, get dressed, feed the dog, eat breakfast, make my bed, and make my lunch before launching out into the unknown world of going to school.

After my second birth,  My Heavenly Father and anointed teachers began to train me in spiritual matters.

THE PRIVILEGE OF PRIVATE MOMENTS
Putting God’s Word first place in my life began many years ago with a morning routine of seeking Him in the scriptures before launching out into my busy world.

Reading,  studying,  prayer, and fellowship with the Lord was and is a necessary discipline that gives me life, peace, and a joy not easily expressed. Most often it is the most cherished part of my day because of the One who joins me there.

“MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD.” Matthew 4:4

The outward man depends on eating nutritious food every day, but that will not satisfy the spirit man. The well-being of my spirit is solely dependent on nourishment that can only be found in God’s Word because it’s Spirit to spirit.

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

God’s Word is seed that produces life. Mark 4:14

It has the power within itself to sanctify and cleanse us from wrong thinking because it is truth. Ephesians 5:26 Wrong thinking can get down into your core beliefs and cause you to make wrong decisions that produce nasty consequences.

Rebellion can be stubborn about being corrected.

Several years ago I had a conversation with a friend. She began to tell me of the freedom she was feeling since she learned she didn’t have to be in bondage to studying the Bible every morning. Two years later she suffered a horrific tragedy because of some very bad decisions she had made.

“Hear, my children, the instruction of a father,
And give attention to know understanding;
For I give you good doctrine:
Do not forsake my law.
When I was my father’s son,
Tender and the only one in the sight of my mother,
He also taught me, and said to me:

“Let your heart retain my words;
Keep my commands, and live.
Get wisdom! Get understanding!
Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.
Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you;
Love her, and she will keep you.

”Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding.”
Proverbs 4:1-7

END DAYS CHURCH: HAVE FAITH IN GOD! Mark 11:22
Have constant, continual faith in God. Why? Because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:16
And faith is the requirement to having boldness and authority.

“This is the victory that overcomes the world—even our faith.” 1 John 5:4

If faith is what overcomes the devil’s playground, don’t you think he will do whatever he can to deceive, hinder, and steal faith? Well of course! Faith is the prize of heaven given to every believer to walk an overcoming life of grace that manifests the joys of answered prayer. Your enemy hates faith and wants to kill it! Be vigilant and on the alert.  1 Peter 5:8

Believers, who are not in God’s Word, will not be aware of when the spirit of error speaks. Why? Because God’s Word is the discerner of truth and error.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons …” 1 Timothy 4:1

Anti-Christ,  Anti-Word,  Anti-Faith,  Anti-Unity
Be on guard about what you listen to or thoughts that accuse the brethren.

The Whole Armor of God

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:10-19

Whose armor is it?
It is God’s armor made to fit you.

Who puts it on?
You do. God will not do this for you.

What exactly is God’s armor?
It is God the Word.  John 1:1
God is light.  Romans 13:12 & 1 John 1:5

Why should we put it on?
To stand against the wiles, lies, and strategies of the devil.

OUR HELPER
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  2 Corinthians 10:3
For greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4

Rely on the strength of the Holy Spirit to lead and direct you into victory.

Do you remember when David approached Saul, King of Israel, and told him he would go and fight Goliath the giant? Not surprisingly, Saul looked at the natural realm and then decided to clothe David with his own armor.

“I cannot walk with these, for I have not tested them.” So David took them off.

“Then he took his staff in his hand; and he chose for himself five smooth stones from the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag, in a pouch which he had, and his sling was in his hand. And he drew near to the Philistine.” 1 Samuel 17:39-40

David's Armor
David’s courage, strength, and strategy were not coming from the natural “seen” world but from the supernatural realm. In the natural, no stone could penetrate the head of a giant and cause him to fall face down on the ground. There was much more going on here that was not visible.
The armor of God that we are clothed with is far superior to the enemy’s schemes.

ABOVE ALL: TAKING THE SHIELD OF FAITH

The kingdom of darkness is directly opposed to people who walk by faith. This is why the scripture says we are to “Fight the good fight of faith.” When in operation, faith is the shield that is able to extinguish, or quench, every fiery dart of the enemy.

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”
2 Corinthians 10:3-6

FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE—1 Corinthians 13:13
The greatest of these is love. Why?
Faith and hope work through love. Galatians 5:6 & Romans 5:5

MAN’S RIGHT TO CHOOSE
“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”  Deuteronomy 30:14 & 17-20.

THE BALL’S IN YOUR COURT
Jesus taught us about the wise man who built his house on the rock and the foolish man who built his house on the sand. Both men heard the word of God.

Only the man who did what he heard was victorious. See Matthew 7:24-29.

Choose to live God’s Word, dear Saints, for it holds your good life.

When my friend made the decision to be free from daily study,  she could not have imagined the awful tragedy the enemy had planned ahead of her.

“Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” Hebrews 3:15
