"Great peace have those
who love Your law,
and nothing causes them to stumble."
Psalm 119:165
___________________________________________________

Holy Brethren,
This is Part Two of “Holy Spirit School.”
If you missed Part One, just scroll down.

Once again, let’s pretend you are a student sitting in a class with many other well- behaved students who are eager to hear what their Teacher has to say. On the large board in front of the class are written these words:

A LIFE THAT HAS BEEN REBORN

Teacher tells His students to get out their driver’s license and look at it.

“Your picture, your name and address, height, weight, and date of birth are listed as identifying characteristics of who you are. Your state government has stamped your license with a seal that marks this information as being a genuine document and gives you permission to drive a vehicle. In your daily travels and duties, you may be required to prove your identity by showing someone your license. This is proof of your birth and who you are.

“My question to you today is this:
What is the proof of your second birth…the day you asked Jesus Christ to be your Savior, the day you gave Him your life?”

Before continuing, take a moment to answer this question.
What is the proof of your second birth? Believers will have different answers.

My Answer
There was a drastic change within me when I received Jesus, but I would have to say that the proof of my second birth is faith in God’s written Word. Why? Because it is truth that cannot change. The Bible says that if I call on the name of the Lord I shall be saved.

“…if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
See Romans 10:13 & 9-10.

Salvation
My spirit, which was dead, was quickened with the life-giving Spirit of God as He entered my inner man. It is a tremendous transition, as different as day and night. Old things passed away, all things were made knew. My body became the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in me. 1 Corinthians 6:19  I became a new creation when God’s Spirit took up residence within me. 2 Corinthians 5:17

I trust what God says about my new birth more than what I can see, touch, or feel. Natural circumstances and feelings change, but “the word of the Lord is forever settled in Heaven.” See Psalm 119:89. So I can see that the proof of my salvation is God’s written Word, which is the solid foundation that my thoughts and my feelings must line up with.

A LIFE THAT HAS BEEN REBORN

What about my behavior?
How will others know that I am reborn?

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35 NIV

God’s love was poured into our hearts with the new birth. Romans 5:5
Love is the mark of a grateful disciple who is in love with their Savior and others.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, does not brag, is not proud. Love is not rude or selfish, does not seek its own, and is not provoked. Love pays no account to a suffered wrong but forgives quickly. Love never gives up on people. It never stops trusting, never loses hope, and never quits.

Hearing and Believing
“In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:13-14

THE SEAL
You were sealed with the Holy Spirit.
He is the guarantee of your inheritance.
He is the seal of your second birth.
He is the seal of your citizenship in the Kingdom of God. Philippians 3:20
He is the seal that you are an Ambassador for Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:20
You were sealed with rights and benefits from God’s Kingdom. Psalm 103:1-5
You were sealed as a child of God; an heir of God and joint heir with Jesus.
Romans 8:16-17
You were sealed for eternal life. John 3:15

Definition of Seal: to stamp (with a signet or private mark) for security or preservation; insignia; imprint; trademark; to certify; authenticate; confirm; approve; validate; endorse; establish; make final

“by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30

“Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: ‘The Lord knows those who are His,’ and, ‘Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.’” 2 Timothy 2:19

“Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.” 2 Corinthians 1:21-22

“Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.” John 6:27

2015: “Redeeming the time because the days are evil.”
You and I are living smack in the middle of watching the nations turn toward evil. And that’s exactly the time frame that God has chosen us to live in!

Our assignment on earth was prepared before we were born—before the foundation of the world. Our individual and corporate assignments are all tied to this: we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works. See Ephesians 1:4 and 2:10.

Jesus Christ, the greater One, lives and abides with us.
We are not alone in our pursuit!

But we do have an enemy, the spirit of Antichrist—the one who is against the Anointed One and His anointed ones.

“By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.

“And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” 1 John 4:2-3

Be on Guard!
How? Be keenly aware of what you are thinking.

There are many spirits that desire to erode and steal who you are in Christ to hold you in captivity and bondage. Don’t leave a hole in your hedge! Censor what you are hearing, watching, and reading. As more things around us decline, we need to be even more fervent for the things of God and not allow the enemy to influence us.

Do not quit going to church but assemble together even more as you see the Day approaching! Hebrews 10:25

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron…”  See 2 Timothy 4:1-2.

Accuser of the Brethren: spirits who accuse or bring accusations against God’s elect to cause shame and steal our authority. They seek to hound and magnify our faults, bring guilt over past mistakes, to cause reproach so that they can gain entrance to hinder and stop the anointing that is in you. And they accuse others.
Condemnation:  Strong censure; disapproval; criticism; reproof; rebuke; pronouncement of guilt. They are sent to discourage and dismay believers into despair and confusion.
Deception: the act of deceiving or misleading; deceit; fraud; trickery; cunning; treachery
Distractions: to divert, entertain, amuse, draw away the attention. Also means to disturb, trouble, perplex, agitate, worry, confuse, bewilder, torment, mental distress and disorder.
Discipline and self control will help you  overcome distractions.

“… God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
 2 Timothy 1:7

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…” 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Submit to God: resist the devil and he will flee from you! James 4:7
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4

A Life That Has Been Reborn:
"I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly."

THE SEAL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
The government of the Kingdom of God has placed its seal upon your heart and given you an assignment to complete as an Ambassador for Christ.

The Holy Spirit is the One who hovered over the face of the deep and when God spoke light be…light was. He is the One who anointed Jesus to heal all who were oppressed of the devil.  Acts 10:38  He is the One whose power raised Jesus from the dead.

This is He who has put His seal upon you! That means security and protection.

Where is the proof of your second birth?

The written Word of God ... which has also been written in your heart…where it is sealed until the redemption of the purchased possession!

God said it, I believe it…that settles it!
Faith in God is the foundation of my proof.
When satan attacked Jesus' identity, Jesus released the written Word of God against him.  Matthew 4:3-4

Your identity has a lot to do with your ability to dominate the enemy.

You guard your wallet that contains your license—proof of your birth and permission to drive, right? How much more should we guard our heart, Saints!

That means you guard the entrance to your heart: what you see, what you hear, what you’re thinking, and what you are saying…after all, this is the place where effective prayers come from. Pray much in the Spirit.

Let this anointed song from Keith Moore minister to you today.
It is my prayer for you.

"Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying,
'This is the way, walk in it,'
whenever you turn to the right hand
or whenever you turn to the left."
Isaiah 30:21
______________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Brethren,
Let’s pretend that you are a student attending classes at “Holy Spirit School.”

You are sitting at your desk with many other students in the class listening to your Teacher.
Everyone here is very well behaved. Teacher begins His class by saying, "We are going to have a test today," then hands out a folded sheet of paper to each student and tells them not to open it until He says so.

“This is a timed test. You have exactly twenty minutes to answer the questions and turn your papers in. Accompany your answers with scripture. You may use your Bible. You may begin now.”

How do you know you are walking by faith?
How do you know you are living by faith?
What is the difference between the two?

Up For the Challenge?
Before you read what I answered, perhaps you would like to take the time and answer these questions for yourself. Believers will have different answers.

My Answers
Question #1
How would you know you are walking by faith?
I would not worry about my life, what I will eat, what I will wear, what will happen to me tomorrow. Matthew 6:33
I have faith in God. Mark 11:22
I would have results when I speak to the mountain. Mark 11:23
God would keep me in perfect peace. Isaiah 26:3
I would have rest. Hebrews 4:3
I would be endeavoring to walk in love. Galatians 5:6
I would have joy. Nehemiah 8:10
I believed…therefore I spoke the Word. 2 Corinthians 4:13
Although I am in the world I am not of the world; I follow the steps of Jesus.
John 17:16

Question #2
How would you know you are living by faith?
All of my life’s decisions are colored with scripture. James 1:25
My mind is renewed to the Word of God. I think different than the world. Romans 12:1-2
I have on God’s armor and use the shield of faith and sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Ephesians 6:10-18
The weapons of my warfare are not carnal but mighty. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
I know I am redeemed from the curse and have Abraham’s blessing on my life.
Galatians 3:13-14
I choose life; I choose the blessing. Deuteronomy 30:19-20
Me and my house are serving the Lord. Joshua 24:15
I have eternal life. John 17:2-3

Question #3
What is the difference between walking in faith and living by faith?
Walking by Faith: 2 Corinthians 5:17
First of all, walking means I have matured from babyhood because I am no longer crawling, no longer trying to walk and falling down. Walking means taking individual steps. Steps take me where I want or need to go. Walking by faith is a daily decision to stay in God’s Word and do what it says, wherever my steps may take me, whether inside or outside of my home. Psalm 37:23 It’s the small stuff that matters.

Living by Faith: Romans 1:17
Living by faith encompasses all of my interests, all of my existence; that no matter what I do in word or deed, I strive to do all in the name of Jesus, giving thanks. Colossians 3:17 Living by faith means living under His umbrella of protection as I choose to be obedient to what is written in His Word. Deuteronomy 28:1-14  Living by faith means a daily life of blessings, a life full of hope, walking in favor, walking in love. Romans 8:37 I am ruling and reigning in life through Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17

For me, living by faith is living in God; enduring, persistent, remaining steadfast and confident through trials, knowing my faithful God will see me through to victory.
Hebrews 11:6

Living by faith is pressing toward the goal for the upward prize in Christ, compelled by the love of Jesus, and always having the finish line of eternity in my view. Philippians 3:14

Picture
OVERCOMING
Definition of Overcome: conquer; surmount; defeat; overthrow; suppress; put down; overpower; subdue; crush; quell; prevail over; triumph over

“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8

“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:3-5

Faith is Not a Passing Movement
It is a requirement to possess the promises of God. It is impossible to please God without faith. The children of Israel did not possess their promised land because the will of God which was told them was not received, not being mixed with faith. Result? A lifetime in the wilderness without God’s rest! See Hebrews 4:1-3. Unbelief never pleases God because it questions His integrity and chooses to believe something else. What did the Israelites ignorantly choose? “If only we had died in this wilderness.” Numbers 14:2

Grasshopper Mentality: We Can’t Do It!
It’s a Choice…
Unbelief is man thinking he has a better way than God.

The ten leaders didn’t have faith in their hearts even BEFORE they went to spy out the land. When they saw the giants they had an inward picture of slaughter and defeat, and they transferred that fear to the nation. Natural circumstances will always challenge people who do not believe.

Caleb and Joshua believed God BEFORE they saw the giants. When the test came, faith was declared! “We are well able to overcome it.”

Faith is an act. So is unbelief.

2015—Times and Seasons are Changing
The world we have been called to live in is becoming more dangerous…giants!
“But be of good cheer, I have overcome the world!” John 16:33

Keeping scriptures before our eyes on a continual basis is more important than ever before. It is necessary to live by faith! Visit our revised resource: “Who I Am in Christ Scriptures.”   This will keep the force of faith vibrant and strong within you. “I am well able to overcome this situation for the greater One is within me!”

“This is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”
No faith? No over—coming!

“Our faith” is not only the combined faith of each member of the Body of Christ—but also includes the faith of Jesus Christ, the Almighty Victor who “disarmed principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them.” See Colossians 2:14-15.

And His Spirit Resides Within Us!
“And do not [for a moment] be frightened or intimidated in anything by your opponents and adversaries, for such [constancy and fearlessness] will be a clear sign (proof and seal) to them of [their impending] destruction, but [a sure token and evidence] of your deliverance and salvation, and that from God.” Philippians 1:27-28 AMP

Faith in that scripture produces boldness and courage in your inner man!

Faith was deposited into your spirit the moment of your conception (the second birth), when you were born of the incorruptible seed of God. This is why we study the scriptures… because our spirit man needs spirit food from the original source, not from this earthly kingdom but from that Kingdom which is above.

FAITH AND HOPE:
An inside spiritual substance sparked by belief in God’s Word

Walking and living by faith have this in common: they are both under the lordship of the written Word of God.
You must:
  1. be guided by the inward man
  2. have a renewed mind
  3. release faith by your words
“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things…”
Matthew 12:35

Can you see how faith affects your prayers?

OUR BELOVED SAVIOR
We can see how Jesus literally walked out His Father’s will in the pages of the gospel.
He lived His life by faith in God.

How? He was always looking inward for direction.

“For I came down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him that sent Me.” John 6:38

The greatest test of the Lord’s faith came in the garden where man’s eternal salvation hung in a desperate fight over good and evil, over His own will or God’s will for man. Our blessed Savior sweat drops of blood from the enormous pressure. Imagine becoming sin for all men for all time…it’s beyond what we can think.

Saints, where would mankind be today without His love?

Walking and living by faith means a life embracing His manifested love and laying hold of those things which He has already purchased for us. Faith is the conduit by which we receive life…every moment, every day.

This is what separates us from the world—our faith.

“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.  And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:12-14

“Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”
Luke 18:8

Saints, stay fervent and stay ready for the Lord’s return! And stay in school…the School of the Holy Spirit. Remain a conscientious student so your Teacher can reveal things you do not know.

“I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20
