"Look at the birds of the air,
for they neither sow nor reap
nor gather into barns;
yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not of more value than they?"
Matthew 6:26
____________________________________________________________-

Dear Saints of God,
People of the United States are very familiar with the term; “We the people…” for it is the Preamble to our Constitution; documents that our God-fearing leaders established for our society so we may live our lives protected in freedom by Godly boundaries. Much of what the founding fathers established mirror the foundations and doctrines of the Kingdom of God.

WE THE CHURCH
In like manner, “We the people of God” have been chosen to live and be part of the End Days Church, a generation of people who have been called out of the nations to fulfill Heaven’s individual assignments which when combined make preparation for the glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ; first to meet Him in the air, and then to return with Him as He comes to establish His government in Jerusalem during the millennium.

A Holy Nation
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10

Although we have citizen rights from the country we presently live in, our permanent and exceedingly more powerful rights of “citizenship in Heaven” were given to us when we made Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. His Spirit took up residence within us and we were placed in Him, forever!

Something else took up residence within us when we became His: the upward call of God!

“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind…” Philippians 3:13-15

THE TIME CLOCK
Israel is God’s time clock. Jesus said to watch the “fig tree,” which is referring to the nation of Israel for signs of His return. Read Luke 21:29-31.

That clock started ticking for our generation, and Jesus’ return, when Israel became a nation in May 1948.

We can also see the Spirit of God moving in His church as a healing revival began at the same time the Jews returned to their land.

Signs
This generation of The Church on earth has seen and is seeing so many things deteriorate.

We should not be downtrodden or be surprised. Jesus told us ahead of time: “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:12-14

“So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.”
(See Luke 21:31-34 and 35-36 which admonish us to watch and pray to be counted worthy to escape!)

Remember the Lord's parable of the Ten Virgins?  Read Matthew 25:1-13.

Carousing, drunkenness and cares may keep some from hearing the trumpet blast and meeting Jesus in the air.  See 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

Saints, we’re in the most wonderful times for The Church but we’re also living in times to keep watch over our hearts. “The wages of sin is death.” Romans 6:23

When Time Runs Out
Backsliding might just catch some of us in the most terrible snare: The Tribulation.

“But you have come to
  • Mount Zion and
  • to the city of the living God,
  • the heavenly Jerusalem,
  • to an innumerable company of angels,
  • to the general assembly and
  • church of the firstborn
  • who are registered in heaven,
  • to God the Judge of all,
  • to the spirits of just men made perfect,
  • to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant,
  • and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks
  • better things than that of Abel.

“See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying,
‘Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.’” Hebrews 12:22-26

Life Instructions for The Church
“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
For our God is a consuming fire.”  Hebrews 12:28-29

If you are fearful and worrying, go to The Bullet Box scriptures daily to renew your mind to how great and mighty our Father is. He’s not an absentee Dad. He knows exactly what’s happening. Trust Him.

But what’s happening with the world?
Earth is getting ready for The Great Tribulation!

God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation. We are not in darkness so that the Day should overtake us as a thief. We are sons of light: therefore, let us watch and be sober and find comfort that Jesus’ return is soon and thereafter we’ will always be with the Lord. Praise God!  (These statements are taken from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 & 5:11.)

PRAYER WITH PURPOSE

Let’s continue to cover our cities and counties with prayer for:
The Glorious Church & The Lost & Elected Leaders

Praying effective prayers for our leaders:
"And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him ...."
Mark 11:25

If you have hatred and bitterness in your heart toward those in our government:
  1. Repent! Remember where you came from when you lived in darkness.
  2. Ask God to fill you with His love for them. “Love never fails.”
  3. Pray in tongues for our leaders. Yield to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
  4. Pray the Ephesians 1:17-23 prayer that our leaders will know the hope of God’s calling for them.
  5. Remember, our enemy is NOT flesh and blood.
  6. After prayer, cast the care of our nation onto the Lord.
  7. Enjoy your life.

Saints, please share this lesson with other people of prayer.

"Do not
cast away your confidence,
which has
great reward."
Hebrews 10:35
_____________________________________________________________

Ambassadors for Christ,
How can we overcome all that is going on in the world during these perilous days? Pray and walk by faith!

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” 1 John 5:4

FAITH
Faith can be a glorious subject with many different avenues to explore. It is the treasure of Heaven. But for this study, we will endeavor to keep it simple.

Faith: What is it?
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

“By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” Hebrews 1:3

  • Faith is a spiritual gift given to you from God.
  • Faith is spiritual substance.
  • Faith is formed from its original source: God’s word.
  • God’s word is faith substance.
  • Your Bible is faith substance.
  • Faith builds confidence.
  • Faith is unseen, but very real, in the supernatural realm.
  • Earth was framed by this unseen substance.

FAITH BUDDIES
Faith has a companion, a requirement for completion. It is a spiritual substance called HOPE! It is not a product of the mental realm of just wishin' and hopin'.

Hope is produced in the spirit man, as a result of God’s promise. His Word is pregnant with life!

Without hope faith will fly around in a chaotic cloud without a goal, somewhat like a child’s balloon. When it is poked with a pin, it will fly around uncontrolled and then deflate! For faith to manifest it must see the end result. When you take a vacation trip in your car, you have to know where you are going to get there.

Hope is the blue print for faith.
Faith is a force that is made of things you hope for.
It’s personal.

Faith and hope begin with God’s promise written in His Word.
When the promise is believed and received into the good ground of the heart, faith and hope go to work to bring the manifestation into the natural five-sense earthly realm. But the promise was just as real when it was in the unseen realm of the spirit. After all, that’s the place we were born again from! And it is from this realm, our Headquarters, that “God is upholding all things with the word of His power.” See Hebrews 1:3.
All things includes everything on planet earth!

HOW TO RELEASE FAITH AND HOPE:
WORDS!

When God saw the earth without form and void covered in darkness He used faith-filled words, unseen substance, to produce what He wanted. Genesis 1:2 and Hebrews 11:3.

There’s Nothing Impossible with God!
The Deadness of Abram’s Body — The Deadness of Sarai’s Womb
When He wanted a family of faith, God changed Abram’s name to Abraham, which means father of many nations, before he was a father of many nations. And also Sarai, at 99 years old, became Sarah, mother of nations!  Genesis 17:5 & 16.

Can you imagine all of Abram’s 300 + servants being told to call him this new name?

“… Abraham who is the father of us all (as it is written, ‘I have made you a father of many nations’) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;

“who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, ‘So shall your descendants be.’” Romans 4:16-18

Abraham’s steps of faith: Romans 4:18-22
  • He hoped beyond human hope and reason.
  • He believed and obeyed God.
  • He did not consider his dead body or his wife’s dead womb.
  • He didn’t flip flop back and forth in unbelief about God’s promise.
  • He was strengthened in faith.
  • How? Giving glory to God!
  • Being fully convinced
  • that what God had promised
  • God was also able to perform!

By faith Abraham and Sarah did not consider their aged bodies but believed the word God spoke to them, that they would conceive and give birth to a child. And so, Isaac, the child, born of faith, came forth into this natural realm.

Isaac being born was not only important to the Jews but also to us, The Church.
Why? Jesus' birth ... which was also a miracle!
See Romans Chapter 4 with Galatians Chapter 3 for further study.

THE MIRACLE OF THE NEW BIRTH:
Saved by grace through faith ...  in the cross!
When God changed the names of Abram and Sarai, He was changing their identity.

When you and I were born again we received a new identity: The Church.
That’s why it is so important for each of us to renew our minds continually to the truth of who we are in Christ. It’s important to speak them out loud so the process of faith takes root in our hearts.

Read through the Who I Am in Christ Scriptures this week.

THE THIEF OF FAITH
Your faith will be challenged! Or we could say, the promise of God will be challenged.

When God told the Israelites coming out of Egypt to take the land of Canaan, 10 out of 12 spies said it could not be done, deflating the faith of an entire nation…that is except for Caleb and Joshua, who had a different spirit in them: the spirit of faith!

What was faith’s response to seeing the “giants?”

“Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, ‘Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.’ But the men who had gone up with him said, ‘We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.’”
Numbers 13:30-31

And unbelief swept through the camp like a dark and vicious plague.

For indeed the gospel, the good news of God's promise,  was preached to the Israelites, but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. See Hebrews 4:2

Except for Caleb and Joshua, God was angry with that generation and gave them what they said; they died in the wilderness without fulfilling God’s plan.

SHIPWRECKED FAITH
Ever felt your faith went upside down like a sinking ship?

“This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck…”
1 Timothy 1:18-19

FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT
“… pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” 1Timothy 6:11-12

Faith is the victory that overcomes anything in this world. Anything!
But, be ready for a challenge.

ARMOR OF GOD: The Shield of Faith!
The mighty shield of faith can extinguish all the fiery darts of the wicked one, but if The Church won’t use it, the enemy will gain access.

How did Jesus use the shield of faith against His adversary? Read Luke 4:1-13.

Someone said, “I’ve tried to use the shield and it’s not working. The enemy continues to harass me.”

If you are convinced it’s not working you’re on the road of unbelief.

Checklist
  1. Check up on your love walk. Faith works through love. Galatians 5:6
  2. Check your heart to see if you are holding onto unforgiveness or have been prideful. Read James Chapter 4.
  3. Check what you’re listening to. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

So how can we overcome all that is going on in the world around us without becoming weary? How can each of us fulfill our prayer assignment? How can this End-of-Days generation of God’s anointed ones preach the gospel and bring in the lost?

“…love covers a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” 1 John 5:4

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but
  1. against principalities,
  2. against powers,
  3. against the rulers of the darkness of this age,
  4. against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

"Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

“Stand therefore, having
  • girded your waist with truth,
  • having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
  • and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
  • above all, taking the shield of faith
  • with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

And take the helmet of salvation,
  • and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
  • praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,
  • being watchful to this end
  • with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— Ephesians 6:10-19

Saints, the devil knows if you’re afraid of him.
God is in us and God is building His Church. The gates of hell shall not prevail against The Church!

We must be bold and courageous and use our armor and the keys of authority to bind and to loose. The Great Commission is not only to preach the gospel to the nations but to cast out demons and heal the sick!  Mark 16:15-18

The Church:
the living body of believers, who have been separated unto holiness…for GLORY.

Before studying this important lesson, may I suggest you begin in worship ...
Song: “Lord, I Give You My Heart”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=501PP_2wlFY

We’re in the world but we’re very much different than the world.

That’s our lesson this week, continuing to find out more and more of who WE are.
It’s a vast, never ending subject because we are in God, the Eternal One.  And it is in Christ where we are seated.

God “made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus…” Ephesians 2:6

Spiritual things must be spiritually discerned.
It’s the way God made us: spirit, soul and body. 1 Thessalonians 5:23

God has made our bodies to have the five physical senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. These are given so we can experience this natural world that we live in. Someone who has a deficit in one or more of these senses is terribly restricted from experiencing and enjoying life. On the other hand, our experiences with God, or our fellowship with Him, are most often in the spiritual realm.

SPIRIT TO SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit through Paul the Apostle revealed the deep things of this realm in his letter to the church at Ephesus: “we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 1:3

Jesus told His disciples, “The Kingdom of God is within you.”
True worship comes out of this hidden realm. “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24

Seek 1st the Kingdom of God  Matthew 6:33
This is why our studying the Word of God is so vitally important every morning. It is spiritual food for the spirit of man. The spirit is feeble without it. This is where life resides.

“In the beginning…the Word was God…in Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” John 1:1-4  Christians without the word become carnally minded and cannot please God. See Romans 8:5-8.

THE BODY of CHRIST: You and Me!
“Now concerning spiritual gifts brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant…”
1 Corinthians 12:1
  • “There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
  • There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.
  • And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.
  • But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all…
1 Corinthians 12:4-7

“But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased…”
1 Corinthians 12:18

“Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.” 1 Corinthians 12:27

MOVEMENT
Each individual of this great and glorious body of Christ have an assignment that affects and connects with other assignments. Ephesians 4:16

It’s like a grand and glorious tapestry!

Each assignment is moving The Church, not only horizontally in the natural realm where churches are rebuilding the ruined cities, but we are also expanding into the higher spiritual realm, for it is there that we have our citizenship for the power of dominion.

“… for in Him we live and move and have our being.” Acts 17:28
The End Days Church is about to move to advance into that glorious Body that is beyond what we can think. Ephesians 3:20-21 Praise the Lord!

God controls our movement. We can only advance according to what is revealed in the spirit.

Two Birth Certificates
One of our birth certificates claims an earthly birth and the other our Heavenly birth.  Philippians 3:20 That means dual occupancy and dual citizenship. We certainly are a peculiar people!

Put this all together and we get the bigger picture of who we are in Christ: a nation called out of a nation. “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people…who once were not a people but are now the people of God…”
1 Peter 2:9-10

Uh Oh…There’s Opposition
Gates or hindrances come to oppose God’s people who are doing His will and moving forward to preach the gospel to the nations. Jesus had to deal with this in His earthly ministry. He didn’t fear or shrink back even when He knew the Pharisees and Sadducees were plotting ways to kill Him. His total trust and confidence were in His Father and His ability to see to it that the Son would fulfill His most important assignment on earth: the redemption of man.

A picture of this can also be seen as the children of Israel were sent to do God’s will.
“Go into the Promised Land and take it!”

Joshua led the armies of God in battle to rid the land of evil nations whose time had come for God’s righteous judgment. Giants had to be dealt with. How? God made provision: HIMSELF, the Great I Am, was with them. What else could be needed? Can anything overcome YHWH?

Before his death, Joshua said:
“Behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed.” Joshua 23:14

LOVE NEVER FAILS

Our war is a spiritual war. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6
The Church has an assignment from headquarters to take the land also: the saving of souls. We cry out to the world on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God. The price has already been paid!” 2 Corinthians 5:18-21

Our adversaries, principalities and powers, operate in the unseen realm. Our Commander in Chief has been given all authority over them and already stripped them. He has deputized The Church to bind them and cast them out.

Why doesn’t God do it?  God’s will is to do it through the believer!

The Church is not to be terrified by the enemy!

If you have fear, study the following scriptures:
Genesis 1:26; Luke 10:19; Mark 16:15-20; Ephesians 1:21; Colossians 2:13-15; Philippians 2:28; 1 John 3:8.

Through Him we reign in life. Romans 5:17

END DAYS CHURCH: TAKING THE LAND

As we are making preparations for this massive end-time harvest of souls, the army of the Lord is moving forward, even when at times we are tempted by the devil to be weary and feel that nothing is happening. How we perceive things is very important.

We always want to stay in the truth of God’s wisdom and ways.

PERSPECTIVE: Zoom Out
Sometimes, in the spirit realm, The Church Body pushes forward and upward, taking new ground that allows an advance of the ground troops. That ground has to be guarded or we will slip back. As we attain new ground, there may be a pause or rest. That does not mean we become lazy or stop being watchful in the spirit. As we follow the plans of the Head of the Church, we continue to excel, moving forward and higher.

And for pray-ers, praying in the Spirit is vital to our strength in these evil days. This ever-advancing, glorious, living Body of Christ is moving ahead using the keys of Heaven to continue to make progress. Matthew 16:18-19

WE’RE NOT ALONE
The army that is at work on earth right now is surrounded in the spirit by the army that has already graduated to Heaven, the Saints that died in Christ.

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2

Perhaps the Saints in Heaven can see that our finish line is just ahead of us and are cheering us on! One day soon both groups will be caught up and meet the Lord in the air!
See 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

SYNERGY
What is synergy?
It is the interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements.

Synergy is cooperation, assistance, help, working together; combined activities of a group.

Synergy is the creation of a whole that is greater than the individual parts; it serves only to add, to build up, never to subtract or deflate.

Synergism: the potential ability of individual organizations or groups to be more successful or productive as a result of a merger.

Synergy of the Spirit
Our Generation:
Think about the millions of Christians on earth right now who have been lifting up prayers to God in intercession for those that are lost.

Imagine all those prayers joining with the prayers of the Saints who have preceded us: countless millions upon millions of prayers to God, prayers that have already been answered and some that are about to be answered in this generation.

It’s an amazing thought isn’t it?

“Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” Revelation 5:8

PRAYER WITH PURPOSE:
Called to Prepare the Way—Isaiah 40:3-11

Concerning John
“But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet. For this is he of whom it is written:

‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face,
Who will prepare Your way before You.’

“Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

“And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come.
He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”  Matthew 11:9-15

Ministers of Prayer in the End Days:
Let us consider the Apostle and High Priest of our Confession
: Jesus Christ   Hebrews 3:1

Apostle: Sent one; set apart; to send out on a mission; a delegate; a messenger; denotes separation for service

We know Jesus was sent to give all men the right to choose eternal life.  He is the High Priest of our confession.

"For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:10

He became a curse for us so that Abraham’s blessing might come upon the nations, the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14

Freedom from Fear, Bondage and the Works of the Devil
“Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” Hebrews 2:14-15

“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8

Jesus Christ
Christ is not Jesus’ last name.
Christ means: The Anointed One—Messiah.

The word Messiah comes from the Hebrew, “anointed one.” Its Greek counterpart is “Christos” from which the word Christ comes.

When you study the New Covenant and read Jesus Christ, stop, translate and meditate His name.
Example:
Jesus Christ, (the Anointed One and His anointing) the same yesterday, today and forever. Meditation brings further depth to the scripture.

In Old Testament times, part of the ritual of commissioning a person for service to God was to anoint, or rub oil upon.

Isaiah 10:27 describes the power of the anointing when it is released:
“It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

"…how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38

The anointing is the burden removing, yoke destroying power of God to deliver man.

The Anointed One and His anointing were placed within you and me when we asked Jesus to come into our hearts. As we made Him Lord, His Spirit took up residence in us and we became a new creation in Christ Jesus. “Old things have passed away, behold all things have become new.”  Corinthians 5:17

Jesus said the Holy Spirit would teach us all things.
John 14:26

The Teacher Within

“But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.” 1 John 2:27

Mysteries of the Kingdom

Whether in private times of study or hearing our Ministers instruct and direct us, it is the Holy Spirit our Teacher who is bringing understanding of Kingdom ways and knowledge to each of us.

Revelation Knowledge
Spiritual things must be spiritually discerned.
As we mature in the Lord, the process of understanding spiritual things becomes easier because our capacity to receive and understand increases. We can see an example of this in the natural as parents cannot carry on adult conversations  with a toddler.

No matter how long we walk with the Lord, we will always be learning more and more from our Teacher ... that is, as long as we remain teachable.

The Cross and The Veil:
This Changed Everything!
Read 2 Corinthians 3:7-18
"But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away." 2 Corinthians 3:16

Old Testament—New Testament
  • The Jews worshiped Jehovah in The Temple.
  • The born again Christian is the temple of the Holy Spirit; therefore we worship Him in Spirit and in Truth wherever and whenever we desire . 1 Corinthians 6:19 & John 4:24

Requirement for The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ
The renewing of the mind!  See Romans 12:2.

When you read the Old Testament scriptures, they must be read in light of what the New Testament says.

Example:  Some writers of the Psalms asked God to consume their enemies and their children. Since our Savior’s Blood has been shed for all mankind, Christians are to love and pray for their enemies, knowing that our true enemy is not flesh and blood, but principalities, powers… Ephesians 6:12

Example: When Moses consecrated and anointed Aaron and his sons to be priests, they were to be mediators between God and man for the children of Israel.

But the New Covenant declares:

“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.”
1 Timothy 2:5

The New Creation Man
“To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 1:5-6

OLD TESTAMENT
The Law was given to the children of Israel, Abraham’s seed, as a tutor; a precursor of things to come. Galatians 3:24

NEW TESTAMENT
Jesus Christ came and fulfilled the Law.

New Creation children,  Abraham’s seed, are the sons of God. The old “tutor” is replaced with the life giving Teacher: the Holy Spirit.
John 14:26

It is vitally important that you and I receive what the New Covenant says about who we are and what we have been given. Our mind must be continually renewed to the scriptures to think differently from old ways and from the ways of the world. To remain ignorant and double minded will keep us stuck in the “traditions of men,” and Jesus said the tradition of men will make the word of God of no effect. Wow! That’s not good. See Mark 7:8-16.

Moses led the children of Israel out of Egypt but could not get Egypt out of them. Selah

There is much more to learn on the subject of who we are in Christ…the Anointed One and His anointing. As we learn and mature, more will be revealed to The Church. God desires this.

Solid food belongs to those who are of full age. Hebrews 5:14

Through the knowledge of Him and receiving His great and precious promises we partake of the divine nature, having escaped the depravity that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:4

Ephesians 1:3-14 reveals who we are in Christ:
  • Blessed with every spiritual blessing
  • Chosen before the foundation of the world
  • Holy and without blame before Him
  • Predestined to adoption as sons
  • Accepted in the Beloved
  • Redemption through His Blood
  • Forgiveness of sins
  • Riches of His grace
  • Wisdom and understanding
  • Have obtained an inheritance
  • Sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise

The Temple—His Body: THE CHURCH
“Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.’

“Then the Jews said, ‘It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?’

“But He was speaking of the temple of His body."  John 2:19-21

“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

“For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
