"... He who is in you
is greater
than he that is in the world."
1 John 4:4
____________________________________________________________

People of Prayer:
“Who is My mother and who are My brothers?”

“ … For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”
Matthew 12: 46-50

Awaken to Your Inheritance!
The Spirit Himself bears witness
with our spirit
that we are children of God,
and if children, then heirs--
heirs of God
and joint heirs with Christ,
if indeed we suffer with Him,
that we may
also be glorified together.” Romans 8:16-17

Where is this inheritance?
How can I tap into it?

THE HIDDEN MAN OF THE HEART   1 Peter 3:4
Remember, you are a spirit, have a soul, and live in a body. (1 Thessalonians 5:23)
Your inheritance is located in the real you … the inner man that was born of God’s incorruptible seed. (1 Peter 1:23)

Who else is in there? The Holy Spirit and God’s Kingdom!
See 1 Corinthians 6:19 and Luke 17:21.

Every need you will ever have has been provided for you and can be accessed by the inner man connecting with Kingdom provision.

How?
By faith! Faith is the conduit that the blessings flow through.

THE LAWS OF FAITH
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

Jesus is talking not only about receiving salvation through Him, but also revelation about the abundant life He died to give us.

Faith has laws to guard and keep rebellious mankind from tapping into the treasuries of God’s Kingdom and using them for their wicked ways. Remember the tower of Babel?

There is much that can be said on the subject of faith.
But for this lesson, let’s keep it simple and hit the high points. Just like pilots who have flown airplanes for years go back for recurrent training every year, we also need to be re-trained in the laws of faith.

Basic Requirement of Faith
Everything we do begins with scripture.
It’s how you were born again.

Scripture promises are how we are to live free in a hostile environment that is in opposition to God and His Kingdom. We are in the world but living through the Kingdom of God that abides within us, just like our LORD did. Jesus was dependant upon God for all that He accomplished. How much more should we be also? (John 14:10)

A New Identity
Hearing, study, and confessing God-breathed scriptures are necessary to get His Word, His promises, off the letters of the Bible and transferred into the heart. Kingdom knowledge passes through the eye gate and the ear gate. When the mind and heart receive that knowledge and yield to what it says, faith is transferred from those “anointed” words into your heart. Jesus said, “The words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life.” (John 6:63) Just prior to this revelation, Jesus was teaching His disciples that He is the bread which came down from heaven and that we must … eat His flesh and drink His blood.

This certainly is not a teaching about His physical body. This is spiritual talk!

This is about partaking of Jesus as the Word of God made flesh. See John 1:1-4.

This is how the “abundant life” is passed to us … to the inside first.

Eat a Good Breakfast
Just as it is a necessity for mankind to eat natural food for physical nourishment and strength, so too is partaking of the Word of God necessary for the child of God to grow up and mature into a Son of God who knows who he is in Christ and operates according to what is written. This is how we can function in the supernatural and receive every provision in life. Jesus functioned this way while on earth.

God’s Word is Supernatural Seed
When that good Word is received into the good soil of the (yielded) heart, it goes down and begins to grow, just like the planting of an apple seed will grow into an apple tree.

The receiving process produces a substance. It is called faith. It is the substance of what is hoped for in His promise and is not visible.

Faith is an unseen substance but VERY real and powerful as it operates in the spirit realm.

The spirit realm is not dependant on the five-sense natural earthly realm. You were born into the spirit-realm when you believed in Jesus Christ and confessed Him as your LORD and Savior. Grace, faith, and your words produced eternal life in you. (Romans 10:10)

Faith says:
I believe it.
I receive it.
That settles it!

The Authority of the Believer
It’s God’s Word that gives us the ability to walk by faith and use our God-ordained authority “to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant ….” (Jeremiah 1:10)

This is part of our inheritance as heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus.

And this is PRAYER at a higher level!

The Harmony of Faith
Definition of Harmony: agreement, accord, like-mindedness, conformity, unity, compatibility, fellowship, cooperation, peace

When we have a need and are depending on what God said in His Word to come to pass, faith produces inner peace (rest) because The Blessing is being released. (Hebrews 4:3)

This pleases God. Why?

Because He expects His children to be like Him (Genesis 1:26,) and to do what is not possible in the natural. Remember, there are laws to faith. Before one can receive all the goodies, one must believe … the promise … in his heart and say it with his mouth.

It’s the narrow way. A gate the rebellious wicked cannot enter.

Releasing Faith Through Words
“Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”

“So Jesus answered and said to them,
‘Have faith in God.
For assuredly, I say to you,
whoever says to this mountain,
“Be removed and be cast into the sea,”
and does not doubt in his heart,
but believes that those things he says will be done,
he will have whatever he says.”
Read Mark 11:21-26.

But remember, unforgiveness will cancel the contract.

Why? Because faith works through love. God is love!

Releasing The Kingdom of God
You can expect angelic assistance:

“Bless the Lord, you His angels,
Who excel in strength, who do His word,
Heeding the voice of His word.” Psalm 103:20

“Who is My mother and who are My brothers?”

Those who abide in faith, hope, and love. The greatest of these is love.

Why? Because it goes beyond the boundaries of self.

When Peter and John were baptized in the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost, they were anointed to do the miraculous. Peter grabbed the hand of the lame man and said: “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” Immediately he received strength and began leaping and praising God.

When the people marveled Peter revealed how this miracle took place. “And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.” (Acts 3: 1-16)

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)

Without faith the lame man would have remained a beggar all of his life.

Faith pleases God because it releases His will — His goodness, into the earth.
“Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
There is no sickness or disease in heaven. Disease is a result of Adam and Eve’s disobedience in the garden.

Jesus Christ has redeemed us from the curse, having become a curse for us so that the blessing of Abraham might come upon us through His Spirit. See Galatians 3:13-14.

“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
(Mark 16:17-18)

The Test of Faith
“Fight the good fight of faith …” 1 Timothy 6:12

God told Moses to choose one leader from each of the twelve tribes of Israel to go into the land of Canaan to see what it is like before they would make the advance to move forward and take the land which God was giving them. (Numbers 13:2)

Ten leaders gave the people this evil report.
“We are not able to up against the people, for they are stronger than we… there we saw the giants … and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.” (Numbers 13:28-33)

Unbelief and discord in the heart declares its defiance against God:
“I will not believe that!”

Definition of Discord: dispute, dissension, disagreement, conflict, contention, differences, division, incompatibility, clashing, quarreling, wrangling, friction, strife

Two leaders had an opposite opinion:
“Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”

Joshua and Caleb had the spirit of faith. You can hear it in their confession.

FAITH CREATES A DIFFERENT IDENTITY
They saw themselves mighty conquerors who loved God and believed that what He said--He would do. They were ready for the fight! No grasshopper mentality here.

True faith will produce courage; a strength and boldness that grabs hold of the victory and will not let it go … ever!

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world.
And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”
1 John 5:4

TODAY, IF YOU WILL HEAR HIS VOICE …

“Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God … So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief … the word they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.” See Hebrews 3:12-4:2.

After you have prayed the prayer of faith and believe for a supernatural change to take place, there will be something that will oppose you to try and steal faith away. This is not a sign of your weakness. “Well, why is that?”

We’re in a spiritual war. (Ephesians 6:12)

The world around us is in open rebellion to God’s Word.

If you seek after and follow the world’s ways, do not think you’ll have a faith victory. That system is built on shifting sand and is designed to separate people from faith.

If you know there will be a fight at the start, you’ll be better equipped for warfare. Faith declares, “We are well able to overcome!”

RELAX!
Expect angelic assistance as you declare His Word. Expect rewards!

2016 and the End Days Church
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come …” 2 Timothy 3:1
BUT FEAR NOT!
Be strong in the LORD. Keep your armor on!

Know this:
The Gates of Hell Will Not Prevail Against the Church! Matthew 16:18

Be anxious for nothing, dear Saints!
We are all living and trusting God together. We are well able to overcome. God is with us and God is in us! Take hold of your true identity. Take hold of your inheritance as an heir of God. Who You Are in Christ Scriptures

This is God’s will for you!

“Now the just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him.”
Hebrews 10:38

“Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”
Luke 18:7-8

"... let us cast off the works of darkness,
and let us put on the armor of light."
Romans 13:12

Dear Saints Who are Praying for Revival,

SEEK ME
Tired? Had a busy day? Seek me …
Relax. Lie on the couch. Let’s watch a movie. One with some cursing, fornication, and murder isn’t too bad. It won’t harm you. You know better. You just need some time to think about something else and unwind.

It’s a new day. Seek me …
Get your coffee and let’s see what’s happening on the news front today. There’s so much going on in the world. You have to stay informed! Let’s check in with Face Book and see what your friends are doing. Did anyone like what I posted yesterday? Some of those videos are so hilarious. Well, better be getting ready for the day. There’s a lot on the “To Do List” that needs to get done. Oh, yeah…I’ll pray in the car.

On the job … Seek me …
Your friend starts sharing some nasty details about a run-in with another employee. You’re ears are hungry to hear more, because, after all, that person offended you too, more than once! Tell them what they did to you. At lunch with other colleagues, you just have to share the whole episode…other people need to know about this situation. It’s so terrible!

Desire … Seek me …
You’re so busy running the company. Family life and being with your wife is so mundane. Your corporate life is full of excitement and on the move with advancement. And that new manager and I have so much in common. She understands me and encourages me. When we go to lunch we laugh about everything. It makes my day. I wonder what it would be like if we spend the next business trip together … after all, I have needs that my wife does not satisfy.

Bored? Seek me …
You just don’t enjoy those church services anymore. The music, the teaching; it’s always the same old thing. Instead of going to church today, why not take the family fishing on the lake. It’s a beautiful day to be in nature. You can worship God in peace and be thankful for everything He made. God won’t mind just this once …

“I pray for them.
I do not pray for the world
but for those whom You have given Me,
for they are Yours.
And all Mine are Yours,
and Yours are Mine,
and I am glorified in them.
Now I am no longer in the world,
but these are in the world,
and I come to You.
Holy Father, keep through Your name
those whom You have given Me,
that they may be one
as We are.
While I was with them in the world,
I kept them in Your name…

“But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

“I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.”
(John 17:9-15)

SEEKING:
THE WORLD

Lord, why do Christians allow this to happen?
“They stopped seeking Me.”

SLIPPAGE
Definition of Slippage: an act or instance of slipping; the amount of slipping or the extent to which slipping occurs; failure to maintain an expected level, fulfill a goal, meet a deadline; loss, decline, or delay; a falling off.

THE HEART: The Root of the Matter
You can identify what’s going on in your heart by looking at what you desire or seek after, especially when you wake up each day. What are your first thoughts? What are your beginning actions for the day? What have you planned for the day?

Faith comes by Hearing, and Hearing by the Word of God

The teaching or ministry of God’s Word only travels through two avenues.
1. Personal Bible Study
2. Another Member of the Body of Christ

Ministry Gifts: Equip the Saints!
Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers are anointed by the Holy Spirit for the perfecting of the saints for the work of ministry. Why? So the body of Christ is edified. The goal: to be united in faith and knowledge of our Savior; to be mature, fully developed in love … in Him. (Ephesians 4:11-16)

What happens when slippage begins to occur in the life of a child of God?

What happens when slippage begins to take hold of the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers?

That generation of Believers will begin to fracture, lose momentum, and forget their purpose. Eventually, the enemy will pull them back into the world. This is why revivals/awakenings only last for a period of time.

How can this be? One minister said, “Out of sight, out of mind.”

We can read about slippage in the Old Testament. Chapter after chapter reveal the ups and downs of Israel’s history. When they obeyed God and sought His face they prospered. When they tired of God’s ways and began to seek after the world they were led into idolatry and bondage.

The Cruelty of Rejection
The prophet Samuel reveals the heart of Israel when they asked to have a king rule over them, rather than God. Why? Because they wanted to be like the other nations! “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.” See 1 Samuel 8:7 and 19-20.

The LORD’s Prayer: John Chapter 17
Before going to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray to His Father in private, Jesus prayed for His disciples in the upper room. That prayer also included all those who would believe the gospel message through their word. That’s you and me! Jesus asked the Father to keep us from the evil one. “I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.”

2016 — A Time for Correction
Definition of Correction: rectification, improvement, alteration, change, revision, modification, adjustment, discipline, punishment, reformation

The LORD is not only dealing with His body on earth, but also bringing correction to our nation and our government.

2016 — WATCH OUT FOR SLIPPAGE!

“They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
Sanctify them by Your truth.

Your word is truth.” (John 17:16-17)

Don’t let the Word of God “slip” to the back of the line. Put God’s Word first place. It is your life’s foundation and the source of answered prayer. “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (John 15:7)

We’re going to have to be more fervent and watchful over our heart now because the pull of the world is not just all around us, but in our homes — and at our fingertips!

We can only live in this day, not in yesterday and not in tomorrow. What we do in this day, the decisions we make today, will affect our tomorrow, for good or for bad.

Everything we do is a seed we sow. And many seeds will produce a crop.

Tired? Had a busy day? Say NO to the world!
Seek God. “LORD, what’s something good to watch on TV?”

It’s a new day. Say NO to the world!

Seek God. When you get out of bed in the morning, lift your hands and bless God with your words! Proclaim restoration into your day. Spend quality time with Him.

On the job. Say NO to the world!
Seek God. Listen for His direction when someone begins to gossip and spread strife.

Desire? Say NO to the world!
Seek God. Submit to God. Cast down impure thoughts by taking every thought captive to Him. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5) Discipline your body. (1 Corinthians 9:27)

Bored? Say NO to the world!
Seek God. Praying always for your church and that utterance be given to your Pastor. (Ephesians 6:18-19)

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
( John 16:33)

Do Not Love the World
“Do not love the world
or the things in the world.
If anyone loves the world,
the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world--
the lust of the flesh,
the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life--
is not of the Father but is of the world.
And the world is passing away,
and the lust of it;
but he who does the will of God abides forever.” 1 John 2:15-17

“We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. “We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

"Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.” (1 John 5:18-21)

Closing Comments
I sometimes see a homeless man on the streets of our city that looks like he has not had a bath in months. The body needs to be cleansed.

What about the spirit and soul of a Believer?
Christ gave Himself for the the church ... "That He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word ... " (Ephesians 6:26)

You and I need the Word more than we know. Take a shower every day!
After all, it is the foundation to answered prayer! (John 15:7)
