What are you worrying about?

“Well, I’m not worried, just concerned about my job because they're laying people off at the plant where I work. I’m also concerned about my wife and kids who aren’t really interested in following the LORD, and my church, well, it just seems like nothing is happening there. I think the fire has gone out. When I watch Fox News every night, I just can’t believe all the mess that is going on in the government...a shadow government, threats of war? Dear Lord, it’s been keeping me awake at night. I keep wondering, where’s God in all this mess?”

One thing to remember about what’s going on in the world is to remember where we are in God’s timeline of earth’s history.

The Day of the LORD Cometh ...
“Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven. Now this, ‘Yet once more,’ indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.

“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.” (Hebrews 12:26-29)

Living in the end days while God is tending to the nations is no excuse to be fearful. No matter what the circumstances are around us, we are called to walk in love and live by faith in God, for without faith it is impossible to please Him.

Why?
Faith is the channel by which He rewards those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)

Let’s look at something that eats away at faith slowly, like rust on metal.

WORRY
Our Christian brother said he wasn’t worried, just concerned. The truth is he is worried! Worry is the top layer of something evil hiding underneath. FEAR!

Fear is belief that something bad will happen. It is the direct opposite of faith. Both are a spiritual force. And both manifest according to choice in the human will.

Fear and faith are affected by what you see, hear, dwell on, and talk about. It’s your choice what outcome you will experience: anxiety, distress, concern, anguish OR peace, contentment, enjoyment, satisfaction.

Fear comes from the spirit of fear who has a goal: to prevent faith from succeeding.

TRUSTING GOD
Do you believe that God wanted you to be born on earth during this time of earth’s history to be a major influence and affect the direction of your family, the company you work for, the neighborhood you live in, the church you attend, and this nation that you so love?

Do you remember what Mordecai told Esther?

“For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14)

Mordecai and Esther walked by faith during a time when the enemy of Israel was making plans to annihilate all the Jews! God brought about a magnificent turn of events as the gallows the enemy built to kill Mordecai was used instead to kill Haman himself. Afterward the king issued a decree protecting every Jew in the nation. What a turn around! This is good to remember when everything seems hopeless with issues concerning our government.

BY FAITH SUBDUED KINGDOMS ... Hebrews 11:33
God is very much on the scene right now, influencing our nation through His Holy Spirit and members of the Body of Christ.

This is an amazing time in earth’s history. These are the days just prior to the great and awesome day of the LORD!  You and I have been chosen and appointed. We have come to the kingdom for such a time as this to fulfill our individual assignments, just as important as Mordecai and Esther were in their calling. Esther laid down her life to do God’s will and go before the king. We, as people of prayer, give ourselves to follow the inward witness of God’s Spirit in continual prayer, for prayer is the tool God uses for change!

RENEWING THE MIND: A NECESSITY TO PRODUCE CHANGE
The fulfilling of your assignment will not reach it fullest potential without knowing and believing what God’s Word says about who you became in Christ and what you have been given. Where there is a lack of this knowledge, there will be a gaping hole for the enemy of God to take up residency.

If worry is keeping you awake at night, renew your mind to the scriptures before going to sleep. And remember to eat the breakfast of champions every morning: Scripture!

LIFE IN 2017
What does Jesus have to say to us? Let’s look at Matthew 6:22-34.

Vs. 19-21  “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth...lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven...for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
  • Treasure God’s Word. Put it first place in your heart by doing what it says.

Vs. 22-23  “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness.”
  • “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” (Colossians 3:2) Where your treasure is will be made known by your communication and by choices you make. Have faith in God’s love. Live free from ALL worry! It will be health to your flesh. (See 3 John 2) Faith and love are light.

Vs. 24  “You cannot serve God and mammon.”
You are to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself. (Luke 10:27)
  • The love of money is the root of all evil.

Vs. 25-34  “Therefore do not worry, saying,
‘What shall we eat?’
‘What shall we drink?’
‘What shall we wear?’
For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
  • Notice how worry enters into your heart... by SAYING fearful thoughts!

  1. Treasure God’s Word
  2. Walk in love, free from all worry. It is health to your flesh.
  3. You cannot serve two masters. Love God; love people ... not money. Tithe!
  4. Do not worry — SAYING. We plant crops by our words ... good or bad. (James 3:5)

Let’s go back to our Christian brother who is not worried, just concerned.
For one thing, our dear brother is not seeing clearly. He is worried and in fear about many things: insecure about his job, bewildered about his family’s spiritual condition, blaming his church for him not receiving God’s presence, having trouble sleeping at night, wondering about this shadow government business, and beginning to blame God, wondering where He is.

A regimen of prayer and study time with the Holy Spirit will pluck up tiny weeds of worry that can infiltrate and begin to smother faith in God as they grow up. (Mark 4:19)

When the light of the treasure within begins to darken, the lamp of the body, the eye, will begin to see and interpret things differently, like wearing dark sunglasses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

In other words, “Is the glass half empty or is the glass half full?” Darkness will always answer, “Of course the glass is half empty!”

So, can you see a scenario taking place in the life of this Christian brother and his family?

WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS ... THERE YOUR HEART WILL BE ALSO
“Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, ‘Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.’

“And Jesus answered and said to her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.’” (Luke 10:38-42)

You and I have been given something from God that is His will for every human born on earth: the will to choose Him or not to choose Him. Wherever Jesus journeyed in His ministry, hearts were revealed. Jesus corrected Martha, going to the root of her anger toward Him and the anger toward her sister.

This matter of “choice” is something for us to consider in our busy lives and the many distractions and choices we have to make every day.

Where is your treasure?

Worried and troubled about many things?
Keith Moore recently gave an outstanding teaching that will edify you. We're not under the circumstances, we are OVER them! It is sixty-five minutes.

PRAYER WITH PURPOSE: See Current Events
Intercessors, prayer is not just for others and for our nation. You are to partake of its divine privileges for yourself, so that you remain dynamic and full of God’s anointing.

Cast all your cares on the LORD.
Be sober, be vigilant, for your adversary the devil walks about seeking whom he may devour. Resist him steadfast in the faith. (1 Peter 5:7-11)
Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
Those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (Galatians 5:16 & 24)

Praying for the Glorious Church to Arise ...
and a Spirit of repentance to come upon our states!

Many years ago I heard this story:

A college student was reading the newspaper and found her name in a list of people who had inherited money that had not yet been claimed because they could not be located. This young woman found out that she was heir to an estate, a sizable sum of money.

What had kept her from using her inheritance all those years?

She just didn’t know...
She could not use that money because she was ignorant of its existence, even though the one who left it to her wanted her to have it to enjoy. It was sitting in a bank account with her name on it, but how could she withdraw from an account she didn’t know existed?

This is a picture of many born-again Christians, and it is NOT pleasing to God our Father.

OUR INHERITANCE: THE BLESSING
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ ...  having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will ... In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will ...”
(Ephesians 1:3, 5, & 11)

Our first birth brought with it a family. So did our second birth.

We may not have had rich parents, but with our second birth we inherited a Father who is Creator and Owner of all that is on this planet and where He lives the streets are made of gold! The great difference or separation between these two families is because of Adam’s sin in the garden. From that point on, God, His Kingdom, and His ways, would operate in another realm, apart from the five-sense realm that we are so familiar with here on earth.

Everything in God’s Kingdom flows from what He says, whether in Heaven or on earth. Jesus said: “...  It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.’” (Matthew 4:4)

Just like our example of the college student that had no knowledge of her inheritance until the day she read about it, so it is with every Christian. It is up to each member of Christ’s Body to know what we inherited with our second birth, and the ONLY way to know that is through reading and studying the Bible for ourselves first, and second, to receive from the five ministry gifts: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher. (Ephesians 4:11)

BUT ...
If the five-fold ministers you are listening to have no knowledge of their inheritance rights and privileges for themselves, they will teach error to the ignorant who never take the time to read and study for themselves, and so, ignorance and religious tradition gets passed down from one generation to the next generation. This is NOT pleasing to our Father.

It is not up to your Pastor to do all the studying for you.

When The Church assembles together to celebrate and to hear the Word, it should be in addition to what they have been receiving the other six days of the week. In this way, each of us make it easier for our Pastors to preach.

Why? Because we are good ground!

In other words your personal Teacher who lives with you has been spending quality time with you every day, plucking up weeds from how you think, and planting truth in your heart all week!

YOUR INHERITANCE
When Christ died, an inheritance was laid up for every Believer. Think about that. Provision for every need was given before you were born.

But you won’t know about it unless you know what God has said in the scriptures. And you can’t enjoy what you don’t know you have.

Just like our college student had an account, we as heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ (Romans 8:17) have been freely given divine power and all things that pertain to life and godliness.

“... His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2 Peter 1:3-4)

So what are we saying?
We have an inheritance now! We don’t inherit it after we die.
We inherited it when Jesus died!
This of course includes eternal life. Jesus covered it all!

If you don’t know all that you inherited when you asked Jesus to come into your heart, you won’t enjoy the provisions Jesus desires you to experience now — the abundant life — (John 10:10,) but will instead think your inheritance is only something to be enjoyed when you get to Heaven ... after you die.

This is incorrect thinking. It comes out of this world’s system of erroneous religious beliefs because it is not based on scripture. (Romans 12:2)

And if you don’t know how to make a withdrawal from your inheritance you won’t be able to take advantage of it. That does not please God. He sent His Son to the cross to redeem you from the curse of the law AND so you can partake of the Blessing of Abraham in your life! (Galatians 3:8-14)

Your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life!
Just like our college student found her name on that list and began to partake of her inheritance and enjoy life, you too have an inheritance from your Heavenly Father as His heir! (Romans 8:17)

Therefore, be aware, know, understand, believe, take action, dig into the Word and find out all that belongs to you as a joint heir of Jesus! This all means, “The just shall live by (his) faith! (Hebrews 10:38) And that does please God!!! (Hebrews 11:6)

“So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” (Acts 20:32)

Your inheritance account comes with a withdrawal slip: FAITH!
Example of a withdrawal slip ... Faith in 3 John 2
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
Here's another one: Faith in Joshua 1:8
And: Faith in Philippians 4:13
There are thousands of promises in God's Word waiting to be claimed by faith!

SUGGESTED ASSIGNMENT
Please scroll down and read the previous lesson on faith. Study how faith works and put it into action. Release the Word of Faith out of your mouth. Call things that be not as though they were! Use your authority as a Believer, dear heart.

When you get to Heaven and find out ALL that Jesus provided that you did not take advantage of, you cannot lie to Him and say, “Well, I just didn’t know.” Selah
