"Trust in the LORD with all you heart,
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
_____________________________________________________________

People of God Who Pray,
We are continuing to study on the importance of VISION.
If you have not read through our last lesson, please scroll down before continuing.

“Without prophetic vision, people abandon restraint, but those who obey the Law are happy.” Proverbs 29:18

Recap:
Vision begins with a personal encounter with God’s promise.

Vision and faith go hand in hand.

If blind Bartimaeus had no inner vision of being able to see, he could not have connected his spirit to the promise.

No connection—no manifestation.

We can see his faith in action as he threw down his beggar’s coat, which was used to receive alms from others. What would a healed man need that for?

“Jesus said to him, “Go your way, your faith has made you well.”
Immediately he received his sight. Mark 10:46-52.

Limiting God:
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18

What will kill vision? Offense and unbelief.

Jesus could do no mighty works in his home town of Nazareth.
Why?
The people there had a different mindset than Bartimaeus. In fact, Jesus marveled, not about their openness to receive God’s provisions, but marveled at their bitterness and unbelief. Read Matthew 13:53-58 and Mark 6:1-6.

A closed heart of unbelief has no faith, no connection to God’s promise. No connection, no manifestation. It’s like a power failure. This does not please God because it limits Him from blessing His children.  Read Hebrews 11:6.

Unbelief robbed the entire nation of Israel of God’s will.
Read Hebrews Chapters 3 & 4. Saints, unbelief is wicked! Stay alert.

Vision brings direction and perseverance.
If you’ve grown weary in doing well, perhaps your vision or passion to fulfill your calling has slipped. Your spirit man requires spirit food (God’s Word), just like your body needs daily nourishment. Put a lid on what you’re hearing from the world. They are in darkness and their fear is increasing. And remember: Fear tolerated is faith contaminated!

Sometimes people of prayer forget to pray for themselves and the bucket goes dry. Pray Ephesians 1:15-23 for yourself every day.

Praying in the Holy Spirit will edify you. Jude 20

The Kingdom of God is within you.
The whole Kingdom? Yes, all of it.

The Director has the directive. John16:13-15
The Holy Spirit will lead you into how to obtain your provisions to meet all your needs as you “seek first the Kingdom of God” every day. Read Matthew 6:33.
That’s why we don’t worry!

It’s not God’s will that people be destroyed for lack of knowledge and vision. But of course, He gave man, and His children, the right to choose. See Deuteronomy 30:19.

Our Father has a vision and a purpose for the End Days Church: “Occupy till I come.” Luke 19:13

“Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.
Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.” James 5:7-8

“… until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.” See Luke 21:24 & Romans 11:25.

Crowds, traffic and too many people?
We can find something to be happy about that.
His return is soon, Beloved! Live each day to fulfill your calling for the Kingdom but be ready to go…

10 Virgins, Oil and the Holy Spirit
“Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.  Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.” Matthew 25:1-13

“Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit …” Ephesians 5:17-18

“But to the Son He says, ‘You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.’” Hebrews 1:9

“…how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” Acts 10:38

“But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.”
1 John 2:20

Being Ready Each Day
“Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal…
‘The Lord knows them that are his.’
And, ‘Let every one that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.’”
2 Timothy 2:19

“Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.”
2 Thessalonians 3:5
______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Suggested Assignment for Prayer:
“Ask the Lord for rain
In the time of the latter rain.” Zechariah 10:1

“Be glad then, you children of Zion,
And rejoice in the Lord your God;
For He has given you the former rain faithfully,
And He will cause the rain to come down for you
The former rain,
And the latter rain in the first month.”
Joel 2:23

Dear Prayers,
The above photo is a picture of a boat in dry dock. For one reason or another, it is not fulfilling its purpose. For one thing, it was designed and manufactured to be in the water, not be sitting on land, idle and out of service. In fact, for illustration purposes, we could say this boat has temporarily lost its vision and has become dormant.

Vision has a call on it: Get me in the water!

Vision Begins with a Personal Encounter
You and I were born for a purpose, created in Christ Jesus for good works. Our vision, purpose, and calling come from within. Paul’s prayer for the Saints should be prayed often if not daily. I like to personalize it:

Lord, give to me the spirit of wisdom and revelation…so that the eyes of my understanding are enlightened and I can experience the hope of Your calling and explore the riches of my inheritance and experience the exceeding greatness of Your power.
See Ephesians 1:15-23.

Definition of Vision:
The act of seeing; a revelation; sight, perception, discernment, ability to foresee, mental image, idea, dream

Vision and Faith: Fruit!
God uses vision to light our path as we move forward. Blind Bartimaeus had an image of being able to see even before his cries reached out through the crowd to seize the attention of the Master who was passing by.

“Go your way; your faith has made you well.” See Mark 10:46-52.

As each member of Christ’s body develops and matures, His Church rises to new places in Him. And this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith!

Weary?
Where there is no vision, the people perish.

Vision brings direction and strength to persevere.
We are walking out God’s plan right now. It’s not a time to become weary but a time to be strengthened in His Word, with His Spirit in the inner man. As you see the Day of the Lord approaching, fellowship with the Saints even more to keep from becoming weary. And remember to praise God every day. Hebrews 10:25

The Glorious Church: 2014
“Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass away, until all these things be accomplished.” Read Mark 13:3-37.

We can locate the time we are living in by reading Ephesians 6:10-20. It is a list of military orders from Headquarters especially for those who are called to pray.

Our weapons are unseen and mighty in God. See 2 Corinthians 10:3-6.
Spiritual thieves and wickedness must be dealt with by following the rules of engagement that we have learned in earlier days—in boot camp—when the Lord taught our generation about our authority as citizens of Heaven. As this generation develops in the ways of how the Kingdom of God works, the power within is being increased. After all, no parent would give a two-year old child a loaded gun.

“Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”
Galatians 4:1-7

Heirs of God have authority and power!
____________________________________________________________________________________

“And the LORD answered me, and said, ‘Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.’” Habakkuk 2:2

What’s happening? Where are we going?

  1. We’re contending and pressing into the Promised Land—where the giants are! (See Numbers 13:28)  Israel’s assignment back then was to conquer the land and its peoples. But The Church, as the governing authority from the Kingdom of God, has a mandate to dominate in the heavenly places against spiritual wickedness (Ephesians 6:10-12), to fulfill the call, "Your will be done on earth as it is done in Heaven."
  2. We are pressing into the place of being “filled with all the fullness of God.”  Ephesians 3:19-20
  3. Corporately, we are coming into the “unity of the faith and knowledge of the Son to a perfect man, the fullness of Christ.” For what reason? To imitate God! Amazing isn’t it? See Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:10; 4:12-13 & 5:1.

The End Days Church is the Recipient of the Lord’s Prayer
"I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.”

Why? So that the world will believe that God sent His only Son to die for them.
John 17:20-23.

You being born into this time of earth’s history was no accident. You were chosen to be here. You were given a Kingdom assignment that must be fulfilled. No one can fill your shoes, Beloved, but you. Ephesians 2:10

Each of our individual assignments are designed to hook up with other assignments to display and reveal the majesty and glory of God, His Kingdom, and the Glorious Church.

PRAYER WITH PURPOSE VISION:
Preparing the way for the Glorious Church!

Her Mission: The Lost
“The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill brought low; the crooked places shall be made straight and the rough places smooth;

“The glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken…

"O Zion, You who bring good tidings, get up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, you who bring good tidings, lift up your voice with strength, lift it up, be not afraid;

“Say to the cities of Judah, ‘Behold your God!’" Isaiah 40:3-9

That’s called bringing in the harvest of souls before the time of the great tribulation.

Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint. Blessed are those who hear God’s Word and abide in it.

Jesus said this is the root to answered prayer:

Abide (live) in Me and I in you. Without Me you can do nothing. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
By this My Father is glorified. Abide in My love. See John 15:1-9.

"The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears,
and delivers them out of all their troubles."
Psalm 34:17
_______________________________________________________

Dear Saints of the Most  High God,
This is Part 2 of a study on Manifested Love: Forgiving others.
Please scroll down and read Part 1 before continuing on with this lesson.

What does the End Days Church and forgiveness have to do with each other?

Everything!

Jesus is preparing each of us to shine with His glory. That glory will be seen in us as He manifests Himself through us.

As our hearts become free and cleansed of past hurts and offenses we can expect the nations to be drawn to the extreme light of a Glorious Church without spot, blemish, wrinkle, unholiness and unforgiveness.

“For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not us.”  2 Corinthians 4:6-7

THE CHURCH: The Operation of God in the Earth
“There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all …”
1 Corinthians 12:4-7

“For in fact, the body is not one member but many.” 1 Corinthians 12:14

Jesus gave us a command to love one another. Easy to read that statement but it takes humility and determination to obey it.

The Church of this generation is contending with an enemy—the accuser of the brethren—who is stepping up his strategies to divide the saints by trapping them in offenses with one another.

Definition of Offense:
insult, snub, disrespect, insolence, impudence, rudeness, umbrage, harm, abuse, affront, embarrassment, humiliation, indignity, outrage, slap, attack

Keep your thoughts centered on love for the brethren no matter what.

This is not a time to be touchy with one another and talk disparagingly about each other. Let us not be two faced, sweet in one’s presence, critical in their absence.  Remember, we are brethren who are on the same team. Immediately forgive any offenses or differing views on things. Pray and bless…pray and bless!

God forbid that our enemy cause us to be enemies of each other.

“For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

“But if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another.

"I say then: Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”
Galatians 5:13-16

A LOOK AT MAN'S BEST FRIEND
Have you ever seen the hilarious video on You Tube of the “dog that bites his own leg”?

It shows a dog who is laying on the couch chewing on a bone. His back leg begins to move. What does he do? Growling and showing teeth, he attacks his leg, over and over.

Doesn't he realize that biting his leg is biting his own body?

It may be very funny to watch a schizophrenic dog think his own leg is his worst enemy, but in regard to The Church, we can be assured that Jesus does not laugh or approve of members of His own Body who attack and harm His other parts.

“Don’t they know they are one body?”
Saints, let’s forgive quickly…because we love our Savior!

PLANTING KINGDOM SEED INTO THE WORLD
Every time we choose to obey God we plant a seed of love in this earthly realm. And love is the most powerful spiritual force in heaven and earth. Love paves the road that faith moves on. That is the victory that overcomes the world. 1 John 5:4

After all, that’s how our Savior overcame the world and the cross.
What you and I do, how we live our lives, affects other members, and further affects our world.

If we are holding onto unforgiveness we may miss an opportunity to express God’s love to an unpleasant waitress at the restaurant who is going through a divorce or that cashier that has to leave work early because her child is sick.

Unforgiveness will keep us looking inward and isolated instead of releasing God’s love to others.

Jesus said, “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.” Matthew 24:12

Lawlessness must not abound in The Glorious Church!

THE WORLD: In Need of a Savior
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:  For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God …”
2 Timothy 3:1-5

Saints, that’s a list of people that live around us in our communities.
They need prayer. They also need our Savior’s love and redemption. As Ambassadors of Christ, God is pleading through us to them: “Be reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:20

Coming into contact with some of these people daily may not always be pleasant.

As intercessors we are more aware of the chaos of darkness. As we walk in the Spirit among the lost, we have an opportunity to shine our light. How?

“Repay no one evil for evil. Do not avenge yourselves... Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” See Romans 12:9-21.

"LOVE NEVER FAILS." 1 Corinthians 13

“… even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.  For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.” 2 Corinthians 4:3-5

“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.” Ezekiel 22:30

THE CHURCH: The Intercessor
As intercessors who follow the Holy Spirit in praying for The Glorious Church, The Lost and Elected Officials, our hearts must be free of bitterness, past pain and the wrongs that others have done to us.

Those who choose to remain camped in offenses can expect to go down a dark road and end up as a backslider.

Hard words, but true. Unforgiveness is nasty and infects others.
"Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?"
James 3:11

Christians do not have the “right” to embrace offenses and allow the flesh to wear a badge of sympathy to get attention from others.

Jesus died so that we would be healed of sorrow and grief. By faith in Him, release the pain and receive your healing. See Isaiah 53:4-5.

“Wow, that’s hard.”

BE STRONG IN GRACE:  2 Timothy Chapter 2 AMP
“So you, my son, be strong (strengthened inwardly) in the grace (spiritual blessing) that is [to be found only] in Christ Jesus... Take [with me] your share of the hardships and suffering [which you are called to endure] as a good (first-class) soldier of Christ Jesus.

“No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of [civilian] life; his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him…

“Constantly keep in mind Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] risen from the dead, [as the prophesied King] descended from David, according to the good news (the Gospel) that I preach.”

Definition of Discipline:
Training, schooling, indoctrination, enforcement of rules, diligence, exercise, practice, preparation, regulated habit, regimen, self-enforced practice, instruction, drill
_______________________________________________________________________

CLOSING COMMENTS TO THE GLORIOUS CHURCH
“No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful!
But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.” Hebrews 12:11 NLT

Praise God! Sow love, Saints!

Read 1 Corinthians 13 in the amplified version often.

Psalm 32:8-9
_______________________________________________________________

God’s Children Who Pray,

The Written Word of Love
“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

“Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, ‘Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?’

“Jesus answered and said to him, ‘If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.’” John 14:21-23

Prophetic Word of Love
“I will love you and manifest Myself to you, if you have My commandments and you keep them. If you love Me, you will keep My word and My Father and I will love you, come to you, and make our home with you. Love as I have loved you. By this the world will know that you are My disciple.”

Definition of Manifest:
reveal, obvious, clear, evident, self-evident, plain, apparent, visible, noticeable, palpable, unmistakable, transparent, unconcealed, undisguised, open, frank, candid, show, exhibit, express, disclose, demonstrate, unveil, uncover, display

THE CHURCH: 2014
Be on guard against the "accuser of the Brethren." He is a liar.

And Lord, teach us to pray effectively, redeeming the time, for the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:16

The Commandment of Love
“And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

“But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
Mark 11:25-26

Forgiveness is not an option, it is a command from the Head of The Church. And He doesn't want His child weighed down with sins for that would hinder prayer.

Why is all of this such a big deal?
Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to suffer. Not forgiving is a spiritual force that will block your faith.
Instead of faith moving the mountain, unforgiveness will move faith into a corner and hold it hostage.

Why? Because faith stands alone without love.

Faith works through love. Galatians 5:6

True Love
You were saved because God, who is love, first loved you.

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

“In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

“Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” 1 John 4:7-11

The entire Kingdom of God operates on the purity of love.
Love is God and God is love.

All of the precepts of God are based on love. All of the promises God has written down for us are God-breathed from love Himself. In order to access those promises so that they manifest in this earthly realm, the path into the supernatural, going up and coming down, must be clean and clear.

Love opens up and paves the path that faith moves on. Faith is a substance. Hebrews 11:1

“Whenever you stand praying — FORGIVE.”

The Oughts
“But they ought to have treated me this way…”
“They ought NOT to have done that to me…that was wrong of them…”

Look at it this way…
Jesus was beaten and crucified for you.
On the cross, He did not say, “Father, they should not have done this to me.”
I shudder to think what would have happened if He had thought or said that.

What did He say?

“Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:34
Jesus sowed love as He sacrificed Himself for our sins.
When you and I forgive, we sow a seed of love. That pleases the LORD.
Love is the highest force.

The Mirror
Rehearsing past pain over and over in your thought life and talking about it can develop into a root of bitterness. Read Hebrews 12:12-17. That pain will steer its victim on a dangerous path of collision. It is like a driver in a car that is going forward while his eyes are locked on the rear view mirror.

What mirror are we to be looking into?

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;  for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

“But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.” James 1:22-25

Looking into the Glorious Word of Light with the intent to obey it will produce liberty …
The Blessing! This is the way out of unforgiveness and into The Blessing:

“…bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you.” Luke 6:28

The Character of the Born Again Man
“Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

“But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the LORD.

“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:12-17

Sowing the Seed of Love
If you are having difficulty forgiving someone, start with a simple prayer and rely on the strength of the Holy Spirit within you.

“As act of my will and in obedience to Your word, Father, I forgive.
I release that person to you.  Heal me of that pain. Bless them LORD.
Thank you for helping me to walk in your love and power. In the name of Jesus.”

Simple prayer isn't it? Don’t underestimate its power and effectiveness. Your prayer of salvation was rather simple, yet it was profound in changing the course of your life. Romans 10:9

FEELINGS
The act of forgiveness does not depend on your feelings. Forgiveness is based on a decision, an act of your will that is submitted to do God’s will. Feelings are emotions. They are subject to change and should be dominated by your spirit.

When you stand to pray—forgive! That’s not a suggestion but a command from the Master. He knows much more than we do about  unforgiveness and what it produces. He tells us to forgive for our benefit.
_________________________________________________________________________

Closing Comments: Manifesting Love
Saints, it takes humility to forgive. Our LORD and Savior is our example.

As intercessors, it is vital that we walk in love and forgiveness because our hearts plead for others: the salvation of fallen mankind.

Take an inventory this week. In prayer, ask the LORD if you are holding onto any past or recent offenses that caused you pain. Release and receive healing of them. Take communion.
(See recent Bible Study Lessons on the subject of Communion: March 11th – March 25th)

Do you have unforgiveness toward elected leaders that oppose our beliefs and values? We certainly do not agree with what some are doing, but to stand in the gap for them we need to have our hearts free of anger and offense so that our prayers for them will be effective.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son …” John 3:16
