"I believe I receive!"          "I just don't think it's ever going to happen for me, Lord."
______________________________________________________________________
“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

“For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;

he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his way."  James 1:5-8

Two Minds
Oh no! If we doubt we won’t receive anything from the Lord? Really?

Really! And having two minds will cause instability and instability can cause disorder, discord, conflict and mental anguish within the soul.

Why?

Doubt holds up a STOP sign to faith!

And faith is the connector to God’s promise.

“And Jesus answering saith unto them, ‘Have faith in God.’ (One mindedness.)

“For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”
Mark 11:22-23

Patience—The Supporter of Faith
“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
James 1:4

“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6:11-12

It is through faith AND patience that we inherit or obtain the promises of God.
Perfect, entire, wanting nothing! Patience is a powerful manifestation of the ways of God.

Patience: to abide, to endure; active persistence and perseverance in well doing; patient continuance.

Patience will speak to your soul and encourage you not to give up: “Stay steady, on course, for your faith is working and soon you will see it!”

The completion of patience is the manifestation of the promise of God.

Endurance, Diligence, and Discipline
Endurance: the power or ability to last, continue, or remain; ability to stand courageously.
Diligence: persevering and careful in work; steady and consistent effort.
Discipline: training that develops self-control, character, orderliness and efficiency.

2013—Life in the Fast Line
Patience—Endurance—Diligence—Discipline.
I don’t know about you, but I’m not exactly seeing an abundance of these godly characteristics these days in government, business, schools, or even in churches. Many brethren are struggling.

Doubt, Double-Mindedness, and Unanswered Prayer
What would you say is the reason for doubt? Why do some pray the prayer of faith and then let it go without it being manifested?

Let’s target the main reason for being double-minded: the uncontrolled soul.

Jesus said, “By your patience possess your souls.” Luke 21:19

This is an inside job that each believer does for themselves. It isn’t an automatic result of being born again. And it will always be a personal responsibility while we are on earth, just like brushing our teeth.

Your newly created spirit man should be dominating and controlling the soul, not the soul dominating the spirit. When this is out of order, life is out of order and there are consequences that come from this.

It is far better in the long run to bite the bullet as they say, and get the soul in order with obedience to the scriptures.

“That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;”
1 Thessalonians 4:4 KJV

The Soul—What is it?

1.    Emotions-feelings
2.    Mind-intellect-reasoning
3.    Memory
4.    Imagination
5.    The Will

Feelings and Reasoning
Christians who are dominated by their feelings and make decisions based on their emotions will lead lives of turmoil, up and down, like being on a roller coaster ride. Feelings fluctuate and change continually for different reasons. I like what Smith Wigglesworth said: “I don’t ask Smith Wigglesworth how he feels today, I tell Smith Wigglesworth how he feels.”

The emotions have a powerful effect on the mind and can cause a Christian to reason himself into deception and being led the wrong way…even right into sin! Never base important decisions on feelings. We are to be led by God’s Word and His Spirit.

“Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.” Psalm 119:11

“Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.” Isaiah 30:21

“You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 26:3

That means you and I have to monitor what we watch on TV and what we listen to in the world.

Memories
  • Good memories are a blessing and can be very powerful.

David, before facing the giant Goliath, remembered how God was with him when he was guarding his father’s sheep.

“But David said to Saul, "Your servant used to keep his father's sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it.

"Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God. Moreover David said, "The LORD, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine." And Saul said to David, "Go, and the LORD be with you!" 1 Samuel 17:34-37

Meditating on past victories can strengthen patience and faith to overcome temporary trials. As David spoke about the past, his faith kicked in to “call those things that be not as though they were.” David saw himself as champion over Goliath before he ever killed him!  Romans 4:17

  • But bad memories come to steal happy days.

People who are caught in this trap are like someone trying to drive their car looking in the rear-view mirror. They just can’t get to where they want to be. Accusations, guilt and condemnation are demonic strategies to keep Christians in fear and bondage.

Jesus paid the price for all our mistakes and sin in life. If you have asked for forgiveness,
Jesus’ Blood has annihilated them! He doesn’t remember them, why should you?

If you need to forgive someone else for an evil done to you, than do it! The devil would love to play that video and keep you in unforgiveness. Why? It will block your faith from working. And faith is the victory that overcomes the world.

If you are being harassed during sleep with unpleasant memories or fear, use your God-given authority over the devil. Read scriptures before you go to bed. Psalm 91 is a good chapter…the Most High and His angels have charge over you!

Imagination
A bad imagination is a thief. An unbridled imagination is like watching evil videos of your future. This is fear based. Self control is required!

“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
  • Casting down imaginations
  • And every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God
  • And bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”
See 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. KJV

Your Imagination Needs Boundaries
We’ve all seen that unruly two year old throwing a tantrum in the store because Mom wouldn’t buy him what he wanted. Hopefully that Mom is teaching him discipline and how to behave.

Your imagination can and should be continually supervised. Never allow your thoughts to run wild on evil images of your future. Counteract that by speaking scripture out loud…

“No weapon formed against me shall prosper!” Isaiah 54:17

A godly imagination needs:
  • To be ruled by scriptures
  • To meditate on the promises of God
When in order, they will produce faith and hope. And hope is the anchor of the soul. Hebrews 6:19

The Will
Jesus is our example.

“For I have come down from Heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.” John 6:38

THE HOLY SPIRIT—OUR HELPER
He will help us to overcome and control the soul so that we will walk by faith and not by sight. Circumstances will not cause us to walk in doubt and unbelief when the soul is dominated by our spirit.

We believe we receive! Contrary thoughts are cast down!

Old Testament Prophecy Concerning the Coming of Messiah
“The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

“To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn…” Isaiah 61:1-2  KJV

New Testament Fulfillment: Jesus Christ
“And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.  And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.

And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

“And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to:
  • preach the gospel to the poor
  • he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted
  • to preach deliverance to the captives
  • and recovering of sight to the blind
  • to set at liberty them that are bruised
  • to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

“And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, this day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth.

“And they said, ‘Is not this Joseph's son?’” Luke 4:14-22

The Revelation of Jesus
Jesus was revealing who He was to the people in the regions around Nazareth.
  • He was operating in the power of the Holy Spirit. See Acts 10:38
  • As He was teaching the people, they glorified Him.
  • Then He revealed who He was to the people that knew Him in His own home town.
  • He went to the Old Testament scriptures to reveal His identity.
  • He declared: the acceptable year of the Lord had come.

“This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”

They all marveled and gave witness at His gracious words. Praise God!

That is, until some began to say, “Is this not Joseph’s son?” Uh oh!

That statement came from those who denied who Jesus said He was; after all, they saw Him grow up and thought they knew His Dad. Jesus had just declared Himself the Messiah but hardened hearts declared Him a liar. In fact, Luke 4:29 says these people wanted to throw Him over a cliff.

Why? Someone else is involved in this picture, someone not seen.

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
See 2 Corinthians 4:3-4.

The lost are blinded because the god of this world has deceived them and is blocking the truth from their minds. Well then, is it hopeless? Certainly not! Otherwise you would not have been born again yourself.

“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins: wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

“Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

“That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:1-9

Intercession
Out of a heart of love for you and love for God, someone prayed for you to have understanding and knowledge of who Jesus is. Perhaps you know who that person was. Even if you don’t know who prayed for you, there will come a day when you will know who gave of themselves in prayer so you could find Jesus.

You and I are praying for the lost in our cities and states, those we don’t even know. Ah, but some day we will know them!

Until then, it’s God’s plan for us to stand in the gap for the disobedient.

Jesus has given us authority over all the power of the enemy. We can bind spiritual forces and interfere with their schemes so that blindness will be removed from those who are held captive. We can change circumstances and create situations that will bring the lost face to face with Jesus.

Jesus paid the price for every soul to be saved and delivered. He yearns for them.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me…to preach deliverance to the captives.”

Luke 4:18

In the final analysis, only God can reveal God! We do this work of intercession in cooperation with the Holy Spirit who is sent to reveal the truth to the unsaved.
Read John 16:5-15

Many who have rejected Jesus have done so because when they hear the name Jesus they immediately associate it with what they had learned as a child. Even in some traditional churches, what is taught about Jesus is far from what is true about Jesus. The unsaved don’t have a clue what Jesus has redeemed them from. This is where you and I can help them.

THE GLORIOUS CHURCH
Since The Church is Christ’s Body, we also are anointed by God. We can and should pray the scriptures in Isaiah Chapter 61 and expect to be empowered to fulfill our assignments to “rebuild the old ruins, raise up the former desolations, repair the cities, the desolations of many generations.” Isaiah 61:4  Praise God!
___________________________________________________________________

Praying for the Lost
  • Ask the Father to pour out His Holy Spirit on all flesh in your state.
  • Ask the Father to send a spirit of repentance into your cities.
Jesus gave us instruction:
“…how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? And then he will spoil his house.” Matthew 12:29

Say:
“You spirits blinding the minds and eyes of the lost in my city, stop what you are doing to keep them out of the Kingdom of God. In Jesus’ name stop it now!”

Jesus said, “Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Matthew 9:38

Pray:
“Lord, send out the laborers with the word of God to the lost.”

“We claim the lost in this city for God’s Kingdom. We believe we have revival here. People are getting saved and delivered, in Jesus’ name. To God be all the Glory!”

Believe when you pray that you will see results. Bless your cities as you drive in the car. Bless your state. Call for armies of Heaven to come into your cities. Pray for your schools.

Love people. Tell them about how wonderful Jesus has been to you.

Pray for The Glorious Church to be bold and courageous, strengthened with might in their inner man.

Pray for Elected Leaders
Pray the prayer in Ephesians 1:17-19 for them.

Beloved, fear not! Our God knows how to have a revival.

Living with the Ugly

I took this beautiful picture a year ago from our RV site located on a stretch of highway along the Pacific Ocean. For many years we have enjoyed this county camping spot, as we experienced the joy of living next to the roaring ocean with all its majesty and also peaceful tranquility. What you don't see in this picture is the other side of the RV which can sometimes be busy with traffic. And then there's the railroad track that joins the other side of the highway. Mighty ocean waves make the daytime train commutes unnoticeable, but the occasional freight train at 3:00 AM sounds like it can come barreling right through the center of the RV with great speed and fervor…the ugly.

Over the fence in my backyard, I used to view a large orange tree, which, prior to producing delicious oranges, blessed my yard with the strong scent of orange blossoms. Ah, heavenly! As the years passed, the tree began producing less fruit and eventually had to be removed.  Now when I sit on my patio and enjoy my yard and the bird life, instead of seeing the orange tree, part of my view is a portion of my neighbor’s 40 year-old unused clothes line…the ugly.

Our lives are full of blessings. We also deal with the everyday “uglies” of life. Some things we are to overcome are far more serious than the two examples above. Nevertheless, we are never alone for the power of Heaven is resident within each of us.

Every morning is full of the mercies of God that will take us through those things that oppose and contradict God’s goodness, order and love. God knows about all that is right and all that is wrong. He knows we live in families and communities that disagree with everything we believe and stand for…the ugly.

The Glorious Church—Salt and Light
But we are right where God wants us to be! Our job is to be continually led by His Holy Spirit to intercede and stretch out an embrace of love to those walking in the blindness of disobedience.

And we also have a responsibility to Jesus and His sacrifice to press on through the uglies and attain the experience of the higher life promised to His church in the scriptures.

NOT…pie in the sky, beloved, but blood-bought blessings that overcome the uglies!

Choices
Every morning we begin a new day of making decisions. Putting God’s Word first place in your life has never been more important. Neither has resisting the devil.

Jesus has given us the Keys of His Kingdom. Remember previous teachings on your responsibility to loose and your authority to lock up? See lessons February through June.

Jesus said, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” John 10:10

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Galatians 3:13-14

Overcoming the Uglies

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

“For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”
Romans 8:1-6

Reaching for the Upward Call of God in Christ Jesus.

The ways of the Spirit are the ways of the Kingdom:
Pressing through to walk by faith so that the precious blood-bought promises can be fulfilled in our personal lives is more than just a nice little suggestion written on the pages of a book.

Don’t play pat-a-cake with the Book.

The scriptures are your inheritance.

You do know you’re an heir of God don’t you? Romans 8:17

Legal rights to that inheritance first come through God’s word. That Word must be planted in your re-born heart to produce substance which already has a directive in the seed to produce what is written. Praise God!

Growing Up
There will come a day, Beloved, when each of us will stand before King Jesus and give an account of what we did with His flesh, The glorious Word of God. John 1:14 and 6:63

Not one excuse, not one circumstance will be pardoned for laziness and irresponsibility to God’s Word. To whom much is given much is required. When future assignments of ruling and reigning with King Jesus are handed out, what we overcame, what we brought forth from His Word and our obedience to the Holy Spirit will be recognized and will surely be rewarded.

Jesus said, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”

Read the Parable of The Talents—Matthew 25:14-30

Jesus said, “But hold fast what you have till I come. And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations; He shall rule them with a rod of iron; they shall be dashed to pieces like the potter's vessels; as I also have received from My Father; and I will give him the morning star.

"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." Revelation 2:25-29

Planet Earth 2013—The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
You and I are meant to be living here on earth during these unusual times prior to the removal of The Glorious Church before the great and terrible tribulation. We are unusual people, a royal priesthood born of a superior Kingdom, citizens of Heaven who have been delivered out of the power of darkness and transferred into the Kingdom of love. We have been given every spiritual blessing.

Read: 1 Peter 2:9—Philippians 3:20—Colossians 1:13—Ephesians 1:3.

Dual Occupancy—Dual Citizenship
It has never been more important that you know who you are in Christ, what you have been given, and to be an active doer of God’s Word every day. Separation from corruption is required. You are not of this world just as Jesus is not of this world. John 17:16

Live in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh.

What you decide to do this day, and each day until the return of Jesus, will play a significant role in your eternal commission with Jesus. Be wise, Saints!

To God be the Glory!

Where your treasure is there your heart will be also.
________________________________________________________________________

Instructions From the Head of The Church For The Last Days

Luke 12:29-40
“Then He said to His disciples:
“And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful (anxious) mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.

“But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

“Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

“Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;

“And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.”

“Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

“And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

“And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.

“Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.” Luke 12:29-40

The Mighty Holy Spirit and the coming of the Lord:
  • The Holy Spirit has been given to each one of us to teach us and perfect us in the things of righteousness and holiness. He is quite involved in the preparation of each saint to bring forth the larger Church: Magnificent and Glorious without spot or wrinkle or ANY such thing.
  • He helps us to be yielded vessels who read, understand, and do God’s Word.
  • The Holy Spirit is involved in keeping you and me ready for the day that Jesus calls us up. He is involved in The Church going up before the great and terrible Day of the Lord’s judgment and wrath against that which is wicked.
  • The Holy Spirit is very much involved in bringing in the great harvest of souls. It is He that convicts the sinner to bring about a repentant heart. It is He who reveals the truth of who Jesus Christ really is and the plan of redemption.
  • The Holy Spirit is the power of God that operates through you as a witness of Jesus Christ.
  • The Holy Spirit is your personal life Coach and Trainer who remains with you.
  • You can see how His influence affected The Church by reading the Book of Acts.
  • This is where The Glorious Church is headed now.
_________________________________________________________________________

“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Luke 12:34
Evidently, your heart is going to "join" to and follow what you highly value, good or bad.

Definition of Treasure: value, cherish, revere, esteem, prize, count precious, regard, care greatly for; stored wealth, precious gems, gold, silver

For a Christian, the heart is the location of the power supply to your life. It is where God Himself dwells.
  • From the heart flow rivers of water. John 7:38
  • Guard your heart, for out of the heart spring the issues of life. Proverbs 4:20-23
  • Out of the heart comes forth words that produce good things or produce evil things. Matthew 12:35
  • The heart is where the Word of God is stored to produce fruit for the Kingdom.
         Mark 4:13-20

There are 98 other powerful verses in the New Testament that deal with the heart and the great importance it plays in your life. You might enjoy a study on this!

1.  Guarding the heart: our daily responsibility.
Luke 12:29-32
Do not seek or be anxious about your need for food, drink, clothing, etc., like the world does. They do not have God as their Father. Seek the Kingdom of God, His ways of living and prospering, and all these other things will be supplied to you. Read Philippians 4:4-9

Give and it shall be given back to you. Luke 6:38

2.  Being Ready!
Luke 12:35-38
“Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning…”

Being ready for our Master’s return means being fully clothed with the garments of righteousness and a heart that displays the light and love of God.

Your lamps burning also means that we have the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit that burns within us, the very Presence of God that continues in our lives, right up to the time when our Master returns.

Blessed are those servants whom the Master will find…watching for His return. Luke 12:37

3.  Watching or Sleeping?
Mark 13:32-37
“But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

“Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

“For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter (doorkeeper) to watch.

“Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

“Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping… Uh Oh! Just like the little duck out on the lake, nestled in deep sleep. (See photo at the top of the page.)

“And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”

The Day of The Lord Comes!
1 Thessalonians 4:15-5:11

“For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

“Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

The Work of the Holy Spirit:
To reveal, to disclose, to draw back the veil.  See John 16:13.

“But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

“But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

“Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

“But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us...”  Praise the Lord!
