Dear Partner in Prayer,
May God bless you with all the provision that Jesus died to give you. May God’s magnificent grace empower you to fulfill the reason you were born.

Our study of Matthew 16:13-20 has led us to focus on vs. 19:
“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

The Keys of Heaven previously discussed:
  • The Word of God
  • The Name of Jesus
  • The Holy Spirit
  • Weapons
We are continuing to focus this study on weapons. Ephesians 6:10-18

Previously discussed:
  • The Belt
  • The Breastplate
  • Gospel Shoes
  • The Shield of Faith
  • The Helmet of Salvation
  • The Sword of the Spirit

“Put on the Armor of God” is not a suggestion.

Next Weapon: Prayer

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints…”

Ephesians 6:17-18

Can you see that these three weapons are supporting and working on assignment together for a specific outcome? Will they be effective if you only read about them?

Imagine a soldier’s fort that has been supplied with an enormous stockpile of deadly armament, yet, within that fort, every soldier is running around unclothed and telling each other how bad things are while their enemies continue to bombard their camp with fiery arrows?

God’s armor is designed to be used to target and bind the enemy. His weapons have no problem overcoming all the power of the enemy. Our Champion and Lord has triumphed over all of them and has been given all authority both in heaven and on earth. Our power lies in operating in Him and through Him, not ahead of Him and certainly not led by the flesh.

The Power of Prayer
If we were to take a course on prayer, we would learn that there are different types of prayer which have different guidelines. Just like when someone desires to play sports, they have to learn the rules of the particular game. Football, baseball, golf, etc., do not all play by the same rules.

In the same manner, you would not want to pray the prayer, “If it be thy will,” when praying for your healing. Why?

Because we already know by the written Word that it is God’s will to heal, and further, He has already provided healing by Jesus stripes.
See 1 Peter 2:24; Isaiah 53:4-5; James 5:14.

Since we are studying about the weapons God has given to us to overcome the kingdom of darkness, we will focus this study on the Prayer that Dominates!

The born again new-creation man has been given authority in his inner man. That is where the Spirit of God and His power resides. After all, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit!

Delegated Authority is The Foundation of Our Dominion
  • Jesus, the Son of God, only did what He saw His Father do and only said what His Father told Him to say. John 5:19
  • Christ’s Body is under the authority of the Head of The Church. Eph.1:22
  • We reign in life through Him. Romans 5:17
Jesus sent seventy disciples out into the cities where He was about to go. They returned with joy saying, “Even the demons are subject to us in your name.”

Jesus said, "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19

Authority is transferred by words.

Example
A 130 pound policewoman, who pulls a speeding driver over to the side of the road and orders a 250 pound weight lifter to hand over his driver’s license, is functioning under authority that has been delegated to her.

She wears a uniform and a badge, which is recognized by all, that she is employed and backed by her city and state government. The government has also provided her with weapons to enforce the written law. That 250 lb. man knows that if he messes with her, he’s messing with higher authority.

“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore…”

Matthew 28:18-19

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."  Acts 1:8

The Prayer that Changes Things
We have learned not to war in the flesh. There is no power or ability to bring about change that way, for “the flesh profiteth nothing.” The weapons of our warfare operate in a higher realm for they are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.

See 1 Corinthians 10:3-5.

Words
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Proverbs 18:21
“Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19

Although Jeremiah was a prophet that operated under the Old Covenant, the same instructions from God are given to us today who intercede for our nation.

“Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me: ‘Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms:
  • to root out and to pull down
  • to destroy and to throw down
  • to build and to plant.’” Jeremiah 1:9-10
The word was written that it might be spoken.

Original Intent—Genesis 1
“Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion… and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’ “

God formed man out of the dust of the earth and breathed Himself into man, and man, (as the Hebrew scribes say), became a speaking-spirit. Man uses his God-given authority through the use of his words. Out of the good treasure of a good man’s heart comes forth good things…things that can be seen!

"This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the LORD of hosts. “Who are you, O great mountain?”

“Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’” Zechariah 4:6

Hindrances and opposition against our authority to bring about God’s will in our cities should not be allowed to press The Church back into a corner of frailty and hopelessness. The Head of The Church has revealed to His disciples how to accomplish the impossible.

"Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away."

“So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Have faith in God.’

“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:21-23

Do you remember what made Jesus marvel and say, “I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel?” It was the faith of a Roman soldier who told the Lord He did not have to bother traveling a distance to heal his servant.

“Only speak a word, and my servant will be healed!” And the servant was healed at that same hour. That soldier believed fully, in his heart, that Jesus could speak “the word” and healing would take place. How delighted our Savior was to hear those words of faith.

What did the Centurion know? He knew, he understood, and he fully believed in the power of delegated words!  Perhaps he heard the Master say, "The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life."  John 6:63

Do you suppose this soldier’s faith is an example of how we should live?
Oh, that every Believer would arise to that place of faith which overcomes the world!

Pray For: THE CHURCH—THE LOST—ELECTED OFFICIALS

Meditate on these scriptures in our lesson. Pray in the Spirit to be led by God to bless the cities and counties in your state with the authority of your words! God stands with us. Hear Him today:

“Thus says the LORD, The Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: ‘Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons; and concerning the work of My hands, you command Me. I have made the earth, and created man on it. I; My hands; stretched out the heavens, and all their host I have commanded. I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways; He shall build My city and let My exiles go free, not for price nor reward,’ says the LORD of hosts.”  Isaiah 45:11-13

Dear Prayer Partner,
May you know the exceeding grace and love of the Father of glory and of His Son Jesus Christ. May the greatness of His power be in manifestation in every step you take.

Father gave the greatest gift He had to get you. No one ever has or ever will love you more; right here, right now, and for all eternity. Embrace that love today.

We began a study of Matthew 16:13-20 last February, which has led us to focus on vs. 19:
“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." What are these keys?

My list of the Keys of Heaven previously discussed:
  • The Word of God

  • Weapons
Weapons—Putting on the Armor of God-Ephesians 6:10-18

Previous lessons focused on:
The Belt
The Breastplate
Gospel Shoes
The Shield of Faith
The Helmet of Salvation

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore…” Ephesians 6:13

Recap
Armor: All of God’s armor is to be used so that we may stand victorious against the enemy’s schemes and continue to move forward without retreat due to weakness and inability to fight correctly. God’s Word and His armor, which are from another Kingdom, have superior ability that works within the Believer.

To Stand: We stand in the victory Jesus has already attained. When He said, “It is finished,” it was a declaration of the redemptive work for all mankind for all eternity. Whatever we accomplish for the Kingdom is founded on His sacrifice: His death, burial, resurrection and ascension.

Continual acknowledgement of this truth will build character, strength and discernment.

Remember who you are, a New Creation who is a citizen of Heaven who has been given Kingdom rights, abilities, and authority to overcome. All of God’s Word armor is meant to protect who you are in Christ Jesus: a Kingdom created spirit, born again of incorruptible seed through God’s Word.

We are to be strong and stand in the strength of the Lord and the power of His might. And further, we are to know and experience:

“... what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

“And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins…”  Ephesians 1:19-2:1

The Greater One Resides Within Us
It is through our Great Champion, the Holy Spirit, that we triumph and have victory in combat. His power far exceeds any ability that man or demon has.

We are more than conquerors as we are led by Him.

“The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light.”  Genesis 1:2-3

God’s creative power was at work when He spoke, “Let there be light,” which brings us to our next mighty weapon:

The Sword of the Spirit
“…and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God…” Ephesians 6:17

I like to look at the Sword this way:
S— is for the Spirit
God’s Spirit and the born again spirit—which are one.

The Word—God’s Word Spoken in faith from a Believer…

Together they equal: the S—WORD of the Spirit!

God’s Word coming forth from the good treasure of the born-again heart, accompanied with the almighty force of the Holy Spirit, is an atomic spiritual blast of power that sends demons fleeing in confusion seven ways!

The Sword of the Spirit is the only offensive weapon.

Definition of Offensive: attacking; assaulting; aggression; charging; storming; bombarding; onslaught

This is what the devil flees from when the Mighty Word of God is sent as a SWORD with pinpoint accuracy on the target. God’s Word is alive and sharper than any two-edged (earthly) sword because it is supernatural. His Word is anointed to destroy yokes and remove burdens. See Isaiah 1:27.  This is how Jesus lived in the Spirit. He also yielded Himself to do only what Father said. And it is time for The Church to do the “works that He did, and even greater.”  John 14:12

How could a young shepherd boy use a rock and a sling to take down the champion of a massive army who continually abused God’s people with slander, fear and threats of annihilation? What did he say before going into battle?

“You come to me with a sword … [earthly]; I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord, [whom David leaned on], will deliver you into my hand, [faith declaration], and I will strike you and take your head from you…that all the earth may know there is a God in Israel.”

Read 1 Samuel 17.

How did Gideon and his army of 300 men, who previously were fearful, timid and weak, turn into an undefeatable, aggressive force against a multitude of enemies, that, “when the 300 blew the trumpets, the Lord set every man’s sword, (earthly), against his companion throughout the whole camp.”  Read Judges 6-8.

It would seem that the victory attained was not only for David or for Gideon, but for the nation of Israel as well. Our individual assignments are doing more than we think!

The Sower Soweth the Word—Read Mark 4:11- 32
To The Church it has been given to know the mysteries of God. Jesus said if we do not understand this parable, we will not understand all the other parables, or things pertaining to His Kingdom.

Four different kinds of ground, (hearts), who heard God’s Word, had four different kinds of results. Only one type of Believer will bear fruit. Those who hear the word, accept it into their heart and actually do what it says will produce thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and even hundredfold.

The Word Choked—Vs. 20
“The cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things ENTERING IN [the heart], choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.”
Satan’s goal is always to maneuver believers away from the Word in order to steal it completely out of the heart to gain further ground and cause the believer to lose his position of authority.

God’s armor is God’s Word permeating the entire being of the New Man, systemic in nature, meant to occupy the total man from the inside out.

In gardening we fight insects that attack our plants, bushes, trees, etc., by applying a systemic pesticide onto the ground which is then absorbed into the plant’s root system to prevent the plant from being destroyed by outside influences such as weeds, disease and insects. Likewise, God’s Word is “health to all our flesh.” How?

Read the Word—Meditate the Word—Do the Word

“…he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.” James 1:25  Why will he be blessed?

"To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Revelation 3:21-22

The Walk
Live in the Word. Live in faith, hope and love. Forgive all. Cast all your cares on the Lord because He loves you so dearly. Resist the devil with your armor. Use the mighty Sword of the Spirit, and speak the living Word against him.

Jesus is the living Word of God! Yet, in His earthly walk, He used the SWORD against His enemy in the wilderness, (Matthew 4:1-11), and throughout His entire ministry including His sacrifice, death and resurrection.

Interesting, isn’t it, that the Sword of the Spirit is hooked to “... praying always with all manner of prayer ...” in Ephesians 6:18?  (AMP)

Prayer

Father, I ask that you increase your blessings and power on this dear Saint, your Beloved child, who has a heart to see your plans come forth in the state in which they live. I ask that you give them wisdom and keep them protected. Lead all of this prayer team, Father; train us to be effective and to accomplish your desires, that the world would be reconciled to know their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

This is a continuing study. Previous lessons are below. Just scroll down.

Dear Prayer Partner,

To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

We began a study of Matthew 16:13-20 which has led us to focus on vs. 19:
“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

My list of the Keys of Heaven previously discussed:
  • The Word of God
  • The Name of Jesus
  • The Holy Spirit
  • Weapons
The last several lessons have concentrated on powerful weapons that God has given us and instructs us to use. Why? Because we have an enemy who is seeking to destroy us. But greater is He that is in us than he who is in the world! It is God who always leads us to triumph in Christ. Why? It is He who has overcome and disarmed all principalities, powers, might and dominion and is now seated far above them all…and so is His Church, for we are one!

See Ephesians 1:20-21 and 2:6. This is an absolute truth that must transform how we think and how we see ourselves over our enemy.

Weapons
We are presently studying Ephesians 6:10-18. The last lesson we focused on:

The Belt, The Breastplate, Gospel Shoes and The Shield of Faith

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore…” Ephesians. 6:13
  • Take up the whole covering of armor, not just one piece of the armor. Each piece of armor works in harmony with each other to reinforce the spirit-man, the soul and the body to remain standing in authority.
  • The evil day: there are times of conflict when we contend to press in to Jesus to triumph over the plans of the enemy. See 2 Corinthians 2:14
  • All of the fight is over your position: your seat of authority that Jesus has placed you in.

Do you think there is a piece of armor that is not founded on His Word?

To Stand or Not to Stand
Our ability to take up the armor and to use it must rest on what Jesus did for us at the cross. All that we are and all that we have been given is founded on this eternal provision: His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension.

This is the foundation that we stand on…individually and corporately…
Christ the solid rock!

All of our redemptive rights and benefits must always point to Jesus, for it is through Him that we are to rule and reign as Kings and Priests. Read Romans 5.

All of our existence stands on what He has already accomplished for us.

As a personal reminder, I have written this in my Bible next to Ephesians 6:10:
(See Ephesians 1:17-23, Ephesians 2:6 & 10, and Colossians 2:14-15.)

Whatever we do, we do through Him and for Him.
We are empowered by the knowledge of His sacrifice, His triumph, and His place of dominion at the right hand of God, where He has chosen us to be seated in Him.

John 15:1-10 — Our Rules of Engagement
Jesus lays down a guide for our walk in the Spirit realm, a walk which works from the inside out. If your spirit-man is running out of gas (God’s Word), when you engage your weapons you might be leaning on the flesh for your victory—and what does the flesh produce?

The Holy Spirit — The Helper — Commissioned to Help You in All of Life
He is authorized to be your Companion and remain with you forever!
He is your personal Advocate, Champion, Defender, Supporter, Promoter and Stand-by. He will always lead us in how to triumph! See our lesson from 4-16-13.

Jesus said it was to our advantage that He go away. Why? He would send another who would be with us forever. When you are engaged in conflict with the enemy, always remember to go inward and follow the direction and leading of the Holy Spirit, for He is the power source.

The Helper is also the One who strengthens us. He is the one we rely on to:
  • Stand against the wiles of the devil.
  • Having done all…to stand.
  • And to continue to stand.

The Helmet of Salvation
Take it! How? Act on your salvation rights! Speak, confess the scriptures. You’re a citizen of Heaven!

Helmet: encirclement of the head, defensive covering for the head, deliverance for those who are engaged in spiritual conflict
Salvation: to save, rescue…welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, safety

“…that you may be able to stand against the wiles (scheming) of the devil.”
See Ephesians 6:11

Once again, let’s read 2 Corinthians 10:3-6:
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”

It takes strength to renew your mind to God’s Word because it takes daily discipline and diligence to study on a continual basis. If a Believer’s thought life has not been in the habit of being controlled, or kept in check, this exercise can be like a cowboy trying to round up a herd of wild mustangs.

The Bouncer
I like the illustration my Pastor gives. Keep the bouncer at the door!
Popular clubs in Hollywood employ a guard or a “bouncer”: a big, strong, brawny- type man to stand at the door. It’s his job to only allow those who are invited or have paid to go inside.

The bouncer controls who comes in. Not everyone is free to come through the door.

Likewise, we cannot be fully effective in our position of authority if we allow every thought to come in and take up residence. You have the mind of Christ, and your thought life must follow His high standards. What you watch, what you listen to, and what you meditate on must go through the Mighty Bouncer, the Living Word! Does this thought line up with scripture? No? Then, “Get out and stay out!”

Lies, Deception, Fear, and Threats
The god of this age has blinded the minds of those who do not believe but he has no right to blind the mind of a Christian! Yet, he is an outlaw and a deceiver and a persistent foe. He has no right but a thief never follows the rules.

Remember who you are, and what you have been given. You are a new creation complete in Him, commissioned as an Ambassador of Christ, the righteousness of God in Him. It is His love that compels us forward. We are not to regard ourselves or The Church after the flesh for now all things are of God.
See 2 Corinthians 5:12-21

“Only be strong and very courageous…This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and have good success.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7-9

Next Lesson: The Sword of the Spirit

Prayer
A strong Believer makes an effective intercessor. Effective intercession will change your city and your state and your nation. Be sure you’re wearing your helmet and the rest of your armor. God is with us!

This is a continuing study. Scroll down for previous lessons.

Dear Partner in Prayer,
To you who call daily upon the name of the Lord:
The grace and peace of God be multiplied to you. May you be fully equipped and fulfilled in the knowledge and demonstration of the scriptures. May you experience the power of His abiding love every day. In Jesus’ name.

Our study on Matthew 16:13-20 has led us to focus on the keys of Heaven that Jesus has given to His Church: keys that bind and keys that loose. You and I have made a list of what we think those keys are.

My list of the Keys of Heaven previously discussed:
  • The Word of God
  • The Name of Jesus
  • The Holy Spirit
  • Weapons
Let’s let the living Word talk to us today as we continue on with the weapons of our warfare.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”
Ephesians 6:10
Where is your strength?

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11
What is the armor of God? How do we put the armor on? Why do we need it?

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:10-12

The accuser and condemner is a thief, a destroyer, and a murderer. If he can steal the word from you through lack of study and diligence to do what it says, he will gain ascendancy over you to leave you naked, vulnerable and weak…open to further attack.

“But I have come that you might have life, and have it more abundantly!”  See John 10:10

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life.” John 6:63

Putting on the Armor
Seek first the Kingdom of God every day. Study to show yourself approved by God, rightly dividing the word of truth, that you may be mature and skillful in the word of righteousness, having your senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.”

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…” 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Where are your weapons?

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

“Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace…”  Ephesians 6:13-15

Recap of the Armor
God’s armor cannot be seen in the natural realm. His armor works from the inside out. The scripture is specifically describing different pieces of armor to cover and protect different body parts…working from the inward man to the outer man. Why should we protect these parts? Because these are the areas the enemy attacks. They need to be reinforced with Kingdom power.

The Belt, The Breastplate, and Gospel Shoes
  • The Belt: Knowledge of the Truth, or what God’s Word says, will cause you to be courageous. Truth will help to gird and support you to stand boldly on solid, firm ground without backing down from satanic lies and deception. David ran toward Goliath and his lies with the tenacity of strength and courage that was founded on truth.
  • The Breastplate: This is your right to stand boldly before God, as His beloved child, without any guilt, shame or condemnation, knowing you have been transferred out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God’s dear Son! It also empowers you to stand boldly with authority against the accuser, who desires to take captive those who don’t know their Blood bought rights and benefits. Those who stand boldly before their God stand boldly before their enemy!
  • The Gospel Shoes: The Gospel of Peace protects your walk in the Spirit. It empowers you to keep on moving forward in our Gospel Mission to proclaim the love and peace of God to the world: the ministry of reconciliation.
Next Weapon: The Shield of Faith
“Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.” Ephesians 6:16

What two things are we to do with the shield?

Definition of quench: Extinguish, annihilate, crush, suppress; to quench things on fire.

Sometimes on the news we hear of missiles being fired on Israel from her enemies. The Israelis can detect an incoming missile and counteract the attack immediately with their impressive Iron Dome Missile Defense System. Israel is always on alert. A senior Israeli military official said: "You have to be hands-on, ready to operate, if and when necessary."

Our weapons of warfare are much more powerful, effective and destructive for they work in the spirit. When used properly they have the power to extinguish ALL fiery darts. They can change circumstances immediately for the entire Kingdom of God stands behind them. Praise the Lord!

Of course, the enemy will try to steal the mighty shield with doubt and unbelief. Some of his strategies are sneaky…launched “under the radar.”

Thoughts like:
  • This faith stuff just isn’t working for me.
  • When will this ever change?
  • I just don’t see how this can happen.
  • God doesn’t love me.
  • Why aren’t You doing anything for me?
None of these statements declare faith. And if they don’t declare belief in God’s promise, wavering will void the promise and you’ll have what you think… “as a man thinketh, so is he.”  Proverbs 23:7

Be alert. Stand fast on God’s Word even when it supposedly looks like it’s not working. That is precisely when faith is needed and exactly what the Shield of Faith is designed for: to dominate and extinguish lies and threats.

Take action! How? Cast down every high thing that exalts itself against the truth of God, bringing every thought captive to obedience of the Word. Fight the GOOD fight of faith!

If you’re feeling weak, read and do Proverbs 4:20-27.
Go to the Medicine Cabinet for further information.

This is the victory that has overcome the world—even our faith!
  • Faith comes by hearing and hearing by God’s Word.
  • It is by grace through faith that we were born again.
  • Faith framed the worlds.
  • Faith is THE substance of things you hope for.
  • Faith moves mountains…
  • Without faith we cannot please God.
  • Faith is the substance of the word of God.
  • The just shall live by faith.
  • We walk by faith and not by sight.

Jesus said, “Have faith in God.”

Faith operates in the unseen. It is the substance that connects to what God has spoken to create it and manifest it in this realm.

Jesus said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”   Mark 9:23

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

Keep that shield in operation 24/7…”Now the just shall live by faith.”
Hebrews 10:38  -  Put God’s Word first place in your life!

There are 247 verses in the New Covenant on faith. This would make a wonderful and rewarding subject for you to study.

Pray For: The Church—The Lost—Elected Leaders
“The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available (dynamic in its working). Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have (with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours): and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months. And (then) he prayed again and the heavens supplied rain and the land produced its crops (as usual).
