"Say to the cities ...
'Behold your God!' "
Isaiah 40:9
___________________________________________________________
In 1939 Smith Wigglesworth spoke prophetically about four moves of God, or revivals.
The first was a healing revival that began in 1947. The next one he saw had to do with multitudes of people, of all denominations, being filled with the Holy Spirit. We know that as the Charismatic Movement.
Then he saw another move of God in which auditoriums were filled with people holding notebooks, which we know as the revival of teaching God’s Word on faith and healing.
The last revival that he saw in the spirit would be something the world had never seen before. This move of God would usher in the precious fruit of the earth. He said there would be a wave of the gifts of the Spirit and ministry gifts that would be so powerful it would empty out hospitals. Multitudes of sick people will be coming to those churches where the Holy Spirit is allowed to move.
PREPARING FOR MANIFESTATIONS OF THE GLORY
As a child, there were times when my Mom would give me extra chores that went beyond just cleaning my room. Why? Company was coming from the city to stay with us for the week-end! It was a happy thing to prepare the house because we knew we would be having lots of joy-filled times with friends, especially around the dinner table.
We’ve noticed, especially this year, a deeper more dedicated life to the LORD that is taking place in private fellowship with the LORD, but also outwardly in how we deal with others. Scriptures pop up often as we go about daily life that remind us not to take offense but to walk in love. We’re more diligent to monitor what we watch or hear, to take thoughts captive to God’s Word, and so on. And there seems to be an increase of joy among the Body of Christ as our “cup runneth over” with His love for people.
We could say we’re being revived!
This is a work of the Holy Spirit.
He’s cleaning His house, one Believer at a time. Why? Company is coming!
It is He, God’s Spirit, that came down from Heaven when the day had fully come.
And suddenly, a sound like a rushing mighty wind came upon the Believers, and The Church, the living Body of Christ was formed as each member became personally indwelt with the blessed Comforter! See Acts 2:1-4.
The Temple
God would never again dwell in a building but would establish His resting place in the heart of each child as they received their Savior and LORD, Jesus Christ.
Each individual member became a new creature with a new heart as God our Creator became one with man … under a New Covenant.
This time, God wrote His laws, not on tablets of stone as He did with Moses, but He wrote His laws into our hearts and in our minds. Our sins and lawless deeds He will remember no more. See Hebrews 10:16-17.
The Body of Christ has two laws written in their hearts and minds:
“And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.” See 1 John 3:23.
What is the present day ministry of the Holy Spirit?
Holy Spirit dwells in each believer and is extremely loved by Him and extremely important to the other members. Petty schisms and divisions infect Christ’s body.
If we love Him we will not allow this.
Every Believer is born again with an assignment that will affect the greater body and the world for good.
Corporately we advance through obedience … with one goal:
to take the Kingdom of God to the world! Matthew 6:10
Just like my Mom cleaned the house because guests were coming to stay with us, Holy Spirit has been cleaning and preparing The Church for the end-time revival when He Himself will move in great and mighty demonstrations of His power...because a multitude of guests are coming into the family of God!
Signs of the End of Days
Since the Azusa Street Revival in Los Angeles, earth’s population has gone from 1.7 billion to 7.4 billion people. That’s huge!
And it’s just what God has been waiting for.
“… that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.” See Romans 11:25.
It’s good to zoom out over the last 110 years since the Azusa Street Revival and see the Ministry of the Holy Spirit. Not only has there been an increase in the amount of people on earth but also an increase in people being born again.
And it’s going to take a lot of us to bring in the great harvest of souls before His return!
Do you remember what the angel Michael told Daniel?
“Seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” See Daniel 12:4.
Wouldn’t you agree that in our lifetime there has been a tremendous increase in knowledge and technology? Why? To expand the gospel message around the world.
The message of the Kingdom of God must be preached as a witness to all nations…and then the end shall come (Matthew 24:14). A witness to what? That Jesus Christ is the Son of God and has redeemed man by His sacrifice on the cross to reconcile the world to Himself.
“Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:19
REVIVAL/AWAKENING
Revivals cannot take place without the Holy Spirit. Neither can revivals take place without Believers who have been revived with His fire.
The Kingdom of God
Where is it on earth?
Is it in a special building?
Do we have to search here and go there to come into God’s Kingdom and attain demonstrations of His power?
“Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, ‘The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, “See here!” or “See there!” For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.’”
Luke 17:20-21
When and how did this Kingdom get inside us?
The Kingdom was sown into your spirit man through the incorruptible seed of God’s Word, (1 Peter 1:23), by the Holy Spirit, when you were born again.
His Spirit came to dwell, to live among us. But it isn’t until we are baptized into Him that His manifestations, like praying in the Holy Spirit, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit, will come forth.
Jesus said, “… wait for the Promise of the Father, ‘which,’ He said, ‘you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.’” Acts 1:4-5
Know these scriptures: Acts 2:1-4, Acts 19:1-6, 1 Corinthians Chapter 12, Jude 20.
Life is a Daily Unfolding of the Supernatural
Living and abiding in the Spirit is how the children of God generate the power to walk by faith which manifests in the fruit of courage, hope, enthusiasm, confidence, and love. God’s wisdom gives His children the divine intelligence and practical skills to fulfill His plan and purpose for each member, and to accomplish things that seem impossible.
“But as it is written:
‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared
for those who love Him.’
But God has revealed them to us
through His Spirit.
For the Spirit searches all things,
yes, the deep things of God.
For what man
knows the things of a man
except the spirit of the man
which is in him?
Even so no one knows the things of God
except the Spirit of God.
Now we have received,
not the spirit of the world,
but the Spirit who is from God,
that we might know
the things that have been freely given
to us by God.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-12
DIRECT ACCESS
The sense-ruled Christian will have difficulty in activating the spirit realm.
Like a blind man, he cannot find the door. And a life ruled by emotions, self will, and the desire for other things, is a restless life of misery with one foot in the world, and one foot in God.
Your blessings and benefits are within.
Even though problems may be on the outside, the cause can be changed by the inside.
The Holy Spirit knows how to bring everything to a victory. Expectation is needed any time we come into His Presence.
This is the place in God where I know all His promises are yes and amen — to me.
2 Corinthians 1:20
Praying in the Spirit can bring us into the supernatural realm and unlock answers that are needed for victory. It is switching from the natural realm to the higher place where “every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ” is located. (Ephesians 1:3)
TURNING ON THE SWITCH
Praying in tongues is that switch!
In the Spirit we are speaking divine secrets — hidden things — mysteries — to receive supernatural information and leadings to obtain miracles, demonstrations, and manifestations of the Spirit.
This extends to the greater body even though you are seemingly alone in your prayer time…for we are many members but joined together in Christ.
And praying in the Spirit over your State brings life to the needy and can divert disasters.
THE JOY OF PRAYER
Have you ever praised God and danced with Him in the Spirit?
Did you know God sings over you?
“In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:
‘Do not fear;
Zion, let not your hands be weak.
The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.’” Zephaniah 3:16-17
It’s time for us to rejoice, Saints...revival is in the air!
Go to Power Praise
God is among us to accomplish His great plan.
That’s why you were born!
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom."
