"And as you go, preach,
saying,
'The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.' "
Matthew 10:7

Saints Who are Praying for Revival,
The other day I had a vision of workers who were laying track for a train to ride on. It seemed like something from an old western movie. The land was dry and hard, like the Mojave Desert. Each of the workers had their own assignment and together they laid the rails down so that the train would have a smooth ride over the land without any hindrances.

PRAYER WITH PURPOSE
In January 2011, the LORD gave me Isaiah 40:3-11 to begin a prayer ministry to intercede for the State of California. Greater emphasis was on verses three through five:

“Prepare the way of the Lord;
Make straight in the desert
A highway for our God.
Every valley shall be exalted
And every mountain and hill brought low;
The crooked places shall be made straight
And the rough places smooth;
The glory of the Lord shall be revealed,
And all flesh shall see it together;
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

Much like the railroad workers had to clear the land and break up the hardened ground, we as intercessors work with the Holy Spirit in prayer to pray for our counties in our state for one main reason: Revival/Awakening!

Now imagine those workers in that old western movie working hard day after day. Suddenly enemies of the railroad come in to plunder and stop the advancement of them laying track. Not only do those workers need a pick and a shovel for their assignment, but they also must have their guns ready to use against their adversary.

OVERCOMERS
Nehemiah and his countrymen were given the task of rebuilding the shattered wall of Jerusalem. They had tremendous opposition but overcame every obstacle in fifty-two days. How?

This was the plan of God, which means GOD was with them.
I like this verse:

“… half of my servants worked at construction, while the other half held the spears, the shields, the bows, and wore armor; and the leaders were behind all the house of Judah. Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon.” (Nehemiah 4:16-17)

VISION
Not only was there unity among those who heard and received the call to rebuild the wall, but they had a clear and precise vision, a goal, a plan to achieve.

“Where there is no revelation, [vision] people cast off restraint [run wild]; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.” Proverbs 29:18

THE LAW OF INERTIA
Newton's first law of motion is often stated as:

An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.

In other words, the behavior of all objects tend to "keep on doing what they're doing" unless acted upon by an unbalanced (unequal) force.

Examples:
·  To dislodge ketchup from the bottom of a ketchup bottle, it is often turned upside down and thrust downward at high speeds and then abruptly halted.
·  While riding a skateboard (or wagon or bicycle), a person would fly forward off the board when hitting a curb or rock that abruptly halts the motion of the skateboard.

MOVEMENT
Definition of Movement: motion, change of position, locomotion, stirring, progress, agitation, action; an activity, operation, or maneuver

Antonym: inertia, stasis, quiescence

The Glorious Church, the last–days church of the LORD, is required to move —every day!

That requirement is not only an assignment to those in leadership but a call to each and every member of Christ’s body on the earth right now.

You were born for a purpose! You were called to live here in the year 2016 to make a change for the Kingdom of God! Meditate on that.

OBEDIENCE: Wait for the Promise of the Father
Jesus commanded His disciples “not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, ‘which,’ He said, ‘you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.’” (Acts 1:4-5) So, all the disciples continued with one accord in prayer and supplication. (Acts 1:14)

THE KINGDOM OF GOD
“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:1-4)

WORDS
God used words to create the universe and all things that provide for our existence on earth. (Hebrews 11:3) When He created Adam He breathed His Spirit into him and man became a living speaking spirit. (Genesis 2:7)

Jesus, the last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45), became a life-giving Spirit. He said, “The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63)

On the appointed day, the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit filled each of the disciples with Himself, including Jesus’ mother and brothers. God would join with His disciples to be one with them. They began to speak another language, the language of the Kingdom of God. They were speaking words unknown to themselves, but others heard them in their own language praising God. Three-thousand people came into The Church that day!

Some would describe this as a “move” of God.

People of prayer who pray and intercede in tongues are releasing MOVEMENT WHERE OUR PRAYERS ARE SENT. They fill the heavens that God has made with His plans and purposes to produce change. Speak restoration into the heavens over your cities. See Isaiah 42:22.

Remember the Law of Inertia?

Objects tend to keep on doing what they are doing — UNLESS FORCED TO CHANGE BY AN UNEQUAL FORCE!

Now let’s bring the:
  • PRAYER WITH PURPOSE scripture foundation into this teaching and
  • the vision of seeing workers on the railroad laying track for the train to travel over:

“Prepare the way of the Lord;
Make straight in the desert
A highway for our God.
Every valley shall be exalted
And every mountain and hill brought low;
The crooked places shall be made straight
And the rough places smooth;
The glory of the Lord shall be revealed,
And all flesh shall see it together;
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” (Isaiah 40:3-5)

PRAYER WITH PURPOSE: Prayer for your State…(Movement!)
Release the Kingdom of God! It is an unequal force to make change on that which is stagnant.

Saints, let’s get with it!
Lay track for the Holy Spirit to move on. Break up the hardened hearts of the unbelievers with prayers of intercession for them. (See 2 Corinthians Chapter 4.)

The Lost
You and I were once on the wrong side of the fence until the mercy of God touched our hearts with grace and faith and we were “delivered from the power of darkness and conveyed into the kingdom of the Son of His love.”

Someone prayed us in.

Pray for The Glorious Church, magnificent and shining, with the glory and the power of God. We will fulfill the plan of God with armor on and in use! And pray for those elected leaders in your state and then cast the care on the LORD … the Government is on His shoulders.

Pray in tongues throughout your day. Think “movement.”
Think REVIVAL!

Remember Saints, NO Word? NO faith.
NO faith? NO movement! (John 15:5-7)

SUGGESTED ASSIGNMENT: Video
Lester Sumrall was speaking at a conference at ORU in 1987. You’ll enjoy it. He speaks on Revival at the end.
