Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
Get your Bible, your journal, and a pen, and set some time to study God’s Word today so that it will get down into your heart and remain with you. The Holy Spirit is going to reveal something important to you today!
Father, in Jesus name, as we study your living word today, we expect your Spirit to teach, guide, and impart understanding that we may be strengthened in the inner man. Thank you, Lord, we receive.

Gates and Keys
…”I will build My church and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Gates
Vines Dictionary definition of gates:
They were viewed as synonymous with power and further suggest that they stood for those who held government and administered justice.
In the natural realm, a gate is a movable framework or solid structure that swings on hinges controlling entrance and exit through an opening. The Lord is not referring to a gate that can be seen but one that cannot be seen, yet is very real and operates in the spiritual realm to control.
Since we know this gate is of the kingdom of darkness, we can assume that kingdom does not want to allow entrance to what is on the other side, which is God’s Kingdom. Neither do they want God’s dominion, righteousness and love released into the earth to produce life and goodness. How do they prevent this? By keeping The Church bound up, ignorant and weak.
But, revealed knowledge of the truth is rising up in our day to bring forth big, big changes now as Believers take hold of who they are and what has rightfully been given to them. The sleeping giant has awakened to the voice of the Master! We are on pursuit to fulfill our end-time assignments as we reach forward to those things which are ahead and press in for the glory of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus! This is our confidence: Our God is with for us!
”I will build My church and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

Jesus has disarmed principalities and powers. Colossians 2:15
Father has seated Jesus at His right hand far above all principalities, power, and every name named. He put all things under Jesus feet and made Him to be head over all things to the church, His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. God made us alive together with Christ, raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ. See Ephesians 1:19-23 and 2:6
It is from this seat that we pray effectively.
“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Keys
Let’s be mindful that Jesus is giving you and me something that is extremely powerful and significant to the building of His Church.
What are these keys and what do they do?
Commentary
These power keys only operate in the spirit. That is the realm that changes things in the earthly, natural realm. The spiritual realm produced the earthly realm didn’t it? Genesis Chapter 1 and Hebrews 11:3 declare this truth: “Things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” Praise God! This is good news for us who are citizens of Heaven and required to operate in both realms. We are authorized to change the world!
2 Corinthians 4:18 reveals that everything in the earthly realm is temporary: subject to change by the eternal realm. This is how Abraham and Sarah produced Isaac.
When “faith keys” are in operation, functioning correctly, they bring days of heaven on the earth. Jesus instructed us to pray for God’s will to be done on earth as it is done in heaven. It is our faith that is the victory that overcomes the world and its system of chaos and devastation.
The Holy Spirit Himself leads us to pray prayers empowered with authority.
They can overcome ANYTHING devised from the curse. Why? Because Jesus became the curse, the sacrifice for all sin: Adam’s transgression at the beginning. He paid the price to get The Blessing of dominion back to its rightful owners, the children of God. We owe Him everything! See Galatians 3:13-14.
Don’t leave your keys on the table. They were bought with blood.

What is your reason for living?
Do you know why you were born at this specific time in earth’s history?
Do you know “the hope of His calling?” Ephesians 1:18
Are you experiencing His power as you pray?
Are you praying in tongues?
Can you see your state in revival?
Do you realize how important you are?
