Occupy!
Occupy: to take possession of by settlement or seizure; to hold possession of by tenure; specifically to dwell in, to hold (position or office), to employ, busy, or engage oneself, one’s attention, mind, etc.
Saints, when Jesus called and you answered and said yes, along with the new birth and eternal life also came your reason for living. We could say your earth assignment was deposited in your spirit. It’s a specific calling that no one else has or can fulfill… only you and your Helper: Holy Spirit.
The Parable of the Minas reveals how the Kingdom of God works. (See Luke 19:11-27) Jesus hires three servants and then sends them out on assignment by saying to them: “Occupy til I come!” Other translations say, “Do business till I come.”
Two servants obeyed their master by increasing what was given to them, but the one who feared his master, hid from others what he was called to do. What was the result or consequence of this action? What did the master say to him?
“For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.”
I believe the Lord wants us to step up our witnessing to others. Why? Because He is coming soon and the harvest is ripe and ready for picking! The worse things get around the world the easier it is going to be to witness to the lost.
