Hopeful!
Webster’s Definition of Hope:
a feeling that what is wanted will happen;
a desire accompanied by anticipation or expectation
Vines Definition of Hope: favorable and confident expectation: describes the ground upon which hope is based. (Romans 8:24-25)
Hebrews 11:1
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Mankind hopes for things they want in the natural.
For the Church, hope can and should exceed the limits of the natural to produce the super-natural: the Kingdom of God…which has no limits.
Our faith…is the spiritual unseen substance of what we hope for or desire.
Hope is a living, dynamic, powerful ingredient of faith.
Those of us who cook know that when following a recipe all the ingredients need to be involved or you won’t have the desired outcome. Let’s say you leave out flour when trying to make a loaf of bread. There would be nothing to hold things together.
Faith is THE substance of what you desire to have, but without hope that you will get want you want, hope is floating in the air like a balloon without an anchor. That’s when the question might come, “Why are my prayers not being answered?”
Faith is an unseen, intangible force, a substance of the spirit. Without faith, what can hope be built upon? This is where some get weary of waiting and may go astray. Some then seek natural alternatives to replace what they desire from the Kingdom of God!
Faith is the substance of what you want…what you hope for. If hope dwindles by thoughts that say “it’s never going to happen,” it’s because your authority to cast the thoughts down that has been neglected. Could it be you are not in the Word every morning? Could it be that praying in tongues is a rare occurrence for you?
Saints, the pull of the world is like a strong ocean current that pulls some swimmers out to sea, and before they are aware they are not able to get back to shore.
The Act of Intercession
Hope is vitally important to every Intercessor.
Hope is, and can impact, the force of life into any situation. And if you have ever overcome a bad report or anything negative, faith through hope was activated.
Take the Challenge
Let’s read Hebrews Chapter 11 every day for the next week. Why? Strength and direction!
Our nation is at a unique time in earth’s history and without the prayers from the army of intercessors, the incoming administration will have terrible difficulty. President Trump and the new administration need us to come alongside, to stand in the gap for them against the wiles of the devil, and release the heavenly authorities to do the supernatural and coordinate with the troops on the ground.
Faith in God and hope to restore every city and county and state needs The Church and the heavenly police force to heal our Beloved United States of America!
One nation under God!
